  1. We love ya, Gus. Stay sane out there, homie.
  2. A young Walter Weiss was at home, carefully maintaining each chain link in his mail. He thought ponderously, upon what his new king would bring to the realm. However, he did not have to think long. He called back to the prince's words to him. Harsh, ever though they were to the proud young lad's ego, he believed that the prince was a wise and true soldier, like his own father, Audo. Walter saw much of himself in the prince, in a way- or atleast, what Walter wanted himself to become. He looked to the Brotherhood banner that flew in his room. He thought of the shoes he would be expected to fill in his own life, and wondered if the Prince felt the same anxiousness at the prospect. But that didn't matter. He had made a promise to the prince, by his honor. To the Last.
  3. Walter Weiss would come to miss Georg, even though the two had hardly spoken, he had seen to it, as had so many others that Haense was safe when it needed protection. To the Weiss, that was enough. He signed the Hussaryin, and prayed for the Royal Family.
  4. 1. Whats your favorite character so far? 1a. What is your favorite moment on said character? 2. How do you feel about the hyperinflation of the price of beef jerkey?
  5. Was thinking about this the other day but what if this continent was the remains of a "map-change" for a totally separate and alien civilization from thousands of years ago and now we're re-colonising the ancient lands of an empire long-gone? I'm really excited, and hope that there's some sort of 'hook' for the descendants this time around.
  6. Felix was leant against his door by the river in some tropical paradise in the Seven Skies. He smiled fondly at all of the memories of Sebastian Bishop, that crazy, wild-eyed Waldenian. "Vy were as quick with a joke as vy were with a punch to the face, vy old bastard." He spoke to himself as a smile broke upon the features of his face further still. Yet, Sebastian was without a doubt one of the finest soldiers Felix ever had the pleasure of both commanding and serving under. Sebastian was rock-solid in his resolve, all the way to his soul. Felix never knew him to question, disobey an order or make little snide remarks. He just did his duty. Even when he was in command, he didn't prance about like some fat, useless whelp lording over everyone as he had known a few disgraceful officers to do. No. He was still that same soldier. He'd never send a man into a situation that he wasn't willing to go in, he never, ever dishonored the trust of his men and he was throughout his entire career above all things: His comrade. And now Felix hoped that the old man would finally find peace in this new life of eternal sunshine and ever-overflowing barrels of scotch, whiskey and the good old Black. Felix, a fellow old man, certainly knew he had. Though, even in this new life, he had not drank. He made a promise. "...Krusae zwy Kongzem. Rest well, brother." He stood, and saluted the sky above.
  7. As Felix Weiss sat by his door in the Seven Skies, he peered up as a soft thunder quietly bellowed overhead. He smiled brightly as he realized that it was not thunder, but the sound of trampling hooves. A light chuckle escaped his lips. "...A Hussar has arrived."
  8. Walter was picking up his mail in Karosgrad before jaunting over to one of the many sweet shops that lined the streets. He looked down to see one of the copies of such a missive in a half-frozen mud puddle. He bent down, to pick it up and he scanned over the missive. Some of the words were too big for his eight-year-old mind, but he managed to pick out a lot of the words like "Adria" and "Allessandra de Vend". His eyes widened. "Mea governess is an Adrian?!" He bawked!
  9. See House Weiss become a Duchy. Play an elf. Have a T5 Elf Mage Have this elf play in Vortice
  10. Walter Weiss quietly played with his toys in his room. However, the feeling of grief in the keep was heavy. His young, childish mind couldn't quite wrap his head around it, however. So he kept to himself, hoping that with the morning perhaps would come answers. He looked to his fingerpaints of men riding off to battle on horseback, and he thought of what his future would be. He wanted to be a Hussar.
  11. PARADISE LOST Felix Weiss’ body had just crashed into the snowy earth, sending hard-packed dirt and flecks of his blood across the white ground. The world was still, and even the sounds of battle were deafened by the silence that slathered the air. His eyes flew open, and there was no one about. The legions of Mori, his comrades, not even the sound of snow larks or their song were present. Except for one. He sat up in the snow to gaze upon them only to now realize that his wounds were gone. There was a pit in his chest that told him that the end had come. Ahead of him, perhaps only ten feet of where he lay was a tall, gaunt woman dressed in a dark blue robe and sported a hood of embroidered lions. She held a shepherd’s cane that carried a small rustic lantern that dangled from the cane’s hook. After a long pause, he spoke towards the woman. “I told Sierra I would walk her down the aisle.” The cloaked woman remained silent for a while before replying with a soft, motherly voice. “I know you did, my sweet boy.” She stepped over to Felix’s side and knelt there, placing her hand in his, to which he offered her hand a small squeeze. “Who are you?” He cast a demure glance to the strange woman, though his gaze did not dare meet hers. His free hand moved to his chest, only now realizing that for once the ceaseless pain he felt from his trauma was now gone. He relaxed. “A Weiss.” She replied quietly. Then, after a long pause her lips moved to add. “We can go whenever you’re ready.” Felix looked up from his own lap to see that a plain, rustic door now stood under the branches of the twisted Rimeveld tree by the frozen lake where he had expired. He slowly stood, but did not let go of the strange woman’s hand. His legs stiffened, and he finally peeled his gaze from the ominous door and looked at her visage that was only slightly obscured by her hood. “I hope I did enough. For my family. For my kingdom.” A small, demure smile crossed her lips. “You stood taller than most. But your legacy to others is their own decision to make. What can be certain is that your friends and family will miss you, and that is enough for a Weiss.” Felix felt a smile cover his own lips. “Yes. I suppose that is enough.” As his feet finally lifted up from the ground to step towards the door ahead of him, he began to remember all of the fond memories of his life. Audo, Haus, Sierra, Via and ofcourse, Veronica. All of them in his life had grown to be the best children he could ever ask for, all of them had risen to greatness in their own life in one way or another. He was confident that they would continue their own legacies. Then ofcourse was the love of his life. Maria. A dutiful wife, and proud warrior. She was everything that Felix was missing in his own life. He loved her with all the fire and passion a heart could muster. He hoped that she would be okay without having him around to taste her cooking, or leaving her without a sparring partner. He believed though, that one of the few he would miss most was his adopted brother. Eulie. It seemed like so long ago that he had met that strange elf when he was only but a mere initiate in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. How long ago that seemed. Despite Eulie’s elven blood he was every inch the brother that Felix had always wanted. For that, he would be eternally grateful to his friend. His hand came upon the knob of the door. He inhaled a long breath. The strange woman gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “They will remember you, Felix Weiss.” She spoke in a moment of soft encouragement. He turned the knob, and pushed the door open. He stepped inside. He had entered a warm, and wet place of eternal paradise. There was no cold, no harsh winds or eternal biting storms. The sounds of millions of small creatures filled his ears as much as the constant babble of warm waters over the riverbanks did. The strange woman began to unfasten his armor, gently piling it at the bank of a calm river that sat before them. He looked around with a mixture of disbelief, relief, and awe. He had finally arrived at Sierra, that wonderful place that Maria had described to him all those years ago. A place that he knew in his heart of hearts must have been heaven. His lips quivered, and he released a small laugh. “It’s real.” He declared to the strange woman that now stood beside him, if only to hear himself say it. He did not move, however. He looked back. The door was still present. His gaze shifted to her. “But I can’t explore it yet. I made a promise to my daughter. We have to do it together. Whenever she…arrives.” The strange woman smiled. “As you wish.” In the blink of an eye, she was gone. Felix sat down on the lush green grass. He watched the door. And he waited.
  12. Nice bait post, jannies. You ain't gunna fool ME again! *shakes fist
  13. Felix smiled as he thumbed the documents. "Mea family's own relatives, sitting upon the Koenas' throne of our kongzem." He said softly, with a fondness in his voice. He placed the missive against his chest. "Krusae zwy Kongzem. Viva Hyspia, and Va ve Maan." He toasted in quiet solidarity.
  14. "What a shame." The eldest of the Weiss sighed, moving the missive aside as he continued his paperwork.
  15. "Ea remember when ea was a young man, he was the best of us. Then, when ea was much older, he was still the best of us. Even when ea surpassed him in rank, he never, ever once questioned an order, always did as he was told and he got the job done, even if it meant his death." Felix Weiss dictated to an unknown person in his bedroom as he smoked from a cigar. "...How did you view this man, in more detail?" The voice asked, as they had a book in their lap. "You speak as if he is already dead." Felix said, but paused. "This new generation is nothing like the old one. My generation? They followed orders. They never complained, they got the job done. We did what we needed to do. He's the last of us, aside from Wilheim.... In my darkest days ea pray for our kongzem, once we are all gone." "...I think we're done for the day, lord." The figure spoke, closing the book in their lap.
  16. "Nie longer a crow. Perhaps a plucked chicken is more apt? Better suited to pecking at the dirt than ruling." Felix muttered to himself as he tossed the missive into the fireplace. "Traitors have nie place in our kongzem. To hell with the lot of them."
  17. As long as you don't physically block the roads, sure. But yknow, people build taverns and things on main roads for a reason. Besides, this sort of "Federal Staff Land" idea where no nation or group is allowed to touch these sanctified bits of land is stupid.
  18. "Ea remember inviting him to serve as mea Royal Inquisitor for the Duma all those years ago. An august, hard-nosed man such as he was sure to go far beyond his post to greater and better things!" Felix Weiss chuckled as he drank his portion of Carrion Black. "To his health and career." He toasted.
  19. Felix was sat in his wheelchair within the rolling lilac fields of Zvaervauld when a runner approached him with the missive. He took the parchment within his hands and read the words over. As his eyes scanned the parchment, a smile grew more ever-present upon his lips. He began to speak aloud to himself. "Whilst I was initially concerned over where his loyalties would lie, being both a man of the cloth and the palatine...Ea must admit that there has been no finer friend to our koeng and servant of the realm." He gently folded the missive in his hands. "Good luck, vyr Excellency." He wondered if the next time he saw the old coot, would his name still be "Iosif Bastrid"?
  20. An old Haeseni read the papers. "Ea would niet piss in an Adrian's mouth if his mouth was on fire." He threw the missive into his fireplace.
