During your travels, a rather excited Halfling zips past you and drops a flier in the process. Shrugging, you pick it up and give the leaflet a look-over: THE SHOGGING FEST OF 1572 One day only! Two contestants enter, one contestant leaves a little more wet than the other. Shogging Helms and Shogging Shovels will be provided and entry is free of charge. Trophies will be provided to the top three combatants. Be there and prove your skill as a champion shogger! RULES: No pulling a Herbwallow Hop No using blades (OF COURSE) or sharpened shovels No looking through an extra hole in your pumpkin OOC Below: Hey guys! Doing a spur-of-the-moment event in the Halfling village: A shogging tournament! For those of you that don't know, shogging is where two people stand on logs and attempt to knock each-other off. You cannot jump off your log and if both of you fall in, you retry. The player that falls off first loses and is knocked out of the tournament while the winner advances. To make it more difficult, both combatants wear a pumpkin on their head and are only allowed a wooden shovel. The top three players will receive a trophy! The only rules are: 1. No jumping off your log 2. No using F5 3. No hacks, obviously. This will be removed after the tournament ends and everyone heads home. You can follow the trail of signs from the spawn to the boat. If you wish to sign up, visit the orange-white tent and you'll be supplied with your official helmet and shovel. We'll begin around 4:30~5ish, depending on how many are around.

Not entirely untrue. At first we thought the issue was with the region flags. Pretty sure at this point it's an issue with the world/map/shard thing and I've messaged the tech people to see what they can do about it.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this. Always willing to give things a shot but I am not very happy about coders having executive decisions on what happens on the server. There's nothing wrong with being over-protective of your work, of your baby, even, but there needs to be a higher-up dictating what needs to be done for the server. What the server needs, not what the coder(s) want to do. This is an outside-looking-in comment, I obviously don't know all the inner workings.

I feel like that's kind of unfair. You can de-value every part of the server, sans roleplay, down to random clicking. Lumberjacking? Nope, just holding down your mouse button under a floating tree. Mining? Just strip-mining a giant 5000x5000 cube. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be caught out in the middle of the wilderness, at night, and unprepared. So long as it's handled properly (that is, mobs don't spawn right on top of you are you're travelling and developed/well-lit areas are safe) then I think it'd be a fine addition back to the server.

Well, as always, if the trouble persists, don't be afraid to make a report or contact a mod. Sometimes all you really need to do is message someone and be like: "dude, quit ******* around please, you're making this less fun for myself and other people here". Please don't encourage OOC witchhunts or metagaming.

I'm not sure a thread like this was needed but I'll give my view and insight. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the roleplay you were talking about (but did see your modreq, unfortunately was busy with a previous modreq). Ultimately, if someone is just being a **** to you out-of-character just to... well, be a ****, then you can either message a mod directly or post a ban report. Harassment ain't cool, that's basically my #1 rule: don't be a ****. In-character is obviously another matter entirely and I won't be commenting on that. I'm not sure this thread is going to help things too much, unfortunately. If you feel as if what happened is worth of a ban report, go ahead- but a thread like this is only going to incite others to tease you or stir up drama of some sort. It's best to speak with a mod directly or file a ban reports. Threads like this just stir up trouble.

I'm not sure how I feel about 'boss monsters' but I think returning monsters to the overworld and adding a skill alongside with them would be nice. Give them some decent but not game-breaking drops (some leather scraps from zombies, maybe an iron ingot rarely, .5 - 1 minas per, stuff like that), maybe allow hunters to trap wild animals like pigs, cows, and mooshrooms (?) and turn them into eggs... I don't know, something like that would be cool. Definitely very fond of a mob slaying skill, though. If we've got a skill for making oak vs dark oak stairs... well, I don't see how this could negatively impact anything. Boss mobs would be really weird and have to be done well. In dungeons or especially dangerous event areas. Stuff like that. Keep those kinds of things rare or strictly event team, in my opinion.

I like the ease of being able to transfer roleplay items over, that's nice. Also can you get you wood with your hands? That'd be nice too.
