  1. Name: Ker'Tarem Contracts This magic is for - Role Play only, no PvP advantage. Ker'Tarem contracts are set as a ritual magical and part alchemist magic all in one. The magic provides something of a metamorphosis of an organical body. Though the Ker'Tarem contract can only be done if one person signs the contract willingly to be affected by the magic afterwards. This magic can add an extra limb/s to separating things on said body to than increasing muscle mass, height and body weight. Though adding extra limbs won’t make them have a advantage- they would only have gross motor skills. [Definition of gross motor skills] Alchemy- Within Alchemy the magic needs some certain ingredients- such as what the person wishes you need to have, though this means a cauldron is needed. While the parts that are going to be added needs to be within good condition. Meaning for a extra hand for example- you would need a hand from the same race. Through this you would need some knowledge in the creation of homunculi , it would follow similar fundumental laws. Ritual- The way the ritual works is when you have the cauldron set with all the alchemy supplies within it. You begin to speak a incantation to help uproar the liquids within the cauldron these incantations are set as words that are similar to the Ker'Tarem spell you would be using, an example would be “Beluga sevruga Come winds of the Caspian Sea Larengix glaucitis Et max laryngitis La voce to me” -Which is short an incantation to remove someones voice. Magic- The magic side of this type of Contract would be that. It uses all the said above, Alchemy and Ritual to than provide the magic with effect. Initially it fuses together with the alchemy and the ritual together to than move it across desired places, this does it by fusing the alchemy with the rest of the liquid within the cauldron while also having the ability to move the magic over and around. Represented by smoke. Though another limitation of this is, when the whole ordeal is being moved it can only be moved to the one that has signed the contract within magical bounds, as it wills this all to happen. Within mind the magic has a sealed mind of it’s own. Contract- The contract of this magic rests in the status of, magical seals with writing. These contracts are fused with the magic effect of this whole ordeal and once signed will only the magic work on the affected person. Though the contract needs a written signature (name) of the said person that wills it. The contract in itself being bound to the magic it can also be considered bound to the cauldron. Though the contract holds if the form of said organical being stays the same or returns back to normal, to if changing again depending on the condition of the contract. - The effect of Ker'Tarem Contracts- Ker'Tarem Contracts would be the set balance of, effecting one well beings soul attachment by adding, subtracting or changing the physical form of the organical being to than being partially attached to the soul, by partially I mean that you can make it function with Gross Motor Skills, but it can still be healed by the monks until the following week on the exact day it had the change, from that point- the adding, subtracting or change of the physical form will stay complete until the contract is broken. The Ker'Tarem contract itself needs to be created with one piece of paper, bound with the magic you use for it, giving it the sense of loyalty and trust within it. Once signed by the person and said only person the bound magic will release itself onto the signer to be accepted with the magic that would follow. The contract within it’s own, will be useless if not around a cauldron the way it works would be, breaking the contract needs a cauldron as with creating the magic. Once the Ker'Tarem contract has been signed and the magic has been done. The contract can be placed within safe-storage, though the caster or any other being can take this and destroy it to return the person that signed it back to the original form, but they need the knowledge on how to do so- as with the cauldron. In turn, the form that the user now has, will stay with them for as long as the contract is not broken (Besides the first week with the monks able to turn you back to normal). Though the contract can never change once signed in lettering or anything to make the outcome different, it all has to be done before the contract has been signed. - How the Ker'Tarem contract - works / materials How it works- The way this type of this works within four steps and needing to be done from point A to point B without exception. -The first step is for the contract to be signed, easily enough, though the contract will affect the user that signs it and no one else even if people are around them, though this can only work in a certain time-limit, 30 minutes to be exact- after the 30 minutes the magic can no longer affect the signer, unless signed again. -The second step is for all the supplies to be gathered, I will list some examples. If someone wishes for a extra hand, you need to provide the hand first and that hand needs to be intact and well at least 3 IRL days fresh, otherwise it won’t work. This works the same with any limb / organ, it also has to be the same race as same person (sub-race doesn't matter- Higher trained users can do more things). This being said, if a colour needs to be changed of the skin- than a pigment of the skin colour needs to be found in another organical structure (not a plant). If blue- go squid (just needs the colour(skin sample)). Be it within height, you would need a bone, as long as said body part that increases within the height, so if a 5 foot man wishes to be 6 foot tall, through leg height, than simply get the bones of someones legs that reach that height(any race). If needed for extra muscle mass, than simply all you would need would be meat from another organical being, be it human to elf to even a cow or pig. The way it all works, the example used for limbs would be once placed within the cauldron the structure of it would break down and seem to almost liquify within it though having nothing else done as of yet, The limb itself would still be within it, though un-useable again if taken out. What rests inside the cauldron to give it this reaction maybe rest with the magic that flows within it. -The third step is when the ritual first comes into play, once you begin a incantation the cauldron will light up in a steamy green colouring, which indicates that the organic material inside of it has all liquefied but are separated, once the incantation begins the elements within the cauldron will finally begin to merge, as if into one thing. The information of the materials all gathered and locked, the incantation links them all together. Though it uproars everything inside, which creates the green glow. -The fourth and final step is when the use of magic comes into play, by this time it would come in right near the end of the ritual but begin to work through it, when the prayer of cast actually happens. It fuses all remaining elements together and green smoke arises from the cauldron that now has the fused elements inside of it that is needed to perform the spell which that turns to smoke floating around the cauldron. The magic can move this smoke over but it has to follow what it was intended for, which the user signed on the contract with no exception. In turn if the Ker'Tarem contract was to remove someones voice, than that is what it would do. Though if it had an added effect by, removing someone's voice to than also change the appearance of said user after that could be done, though that would be the safest way to follow equivalent exchange, giving something to get something in return. - When you develop more through this you can have the better chance at combining more things, such as you wouldn't after a lot of practice needs limbs from the exact same race, but can be other races included, at high levels you can even add a touch of animal parts if needed. - As a reference a video explaining everything and previewing it can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyFVG4VfPmg Redlines: -The magic needs to be around the cauldron it has been set towards. -The contract needs to be signed before any of the magic can begin. -This magic cannot be reverted once signed, unless the contract is broken or the signer sees the monks within the first week of them being change to revert it back. -The caster needs knowledge on all three things. -Limit on body changes. (cannot make a 5 foot human to 10 feet, can only be two feet in difference). -Gathering of the materials. -The contract cannot have anymore than three changes. -Contract can only be broken in said cauldron by anyone. -As stated before, any extra limbs follow Gross motor skills, meaning they cannot grip swords, but can hold a ball. -Muscle mass increase won't affect your strength, unless you train for it. Though muscle mass-decrease will. -The magic cannot give strength to someone but can take it, so increased muscle mass does not make you have that much strength as with height, you need to work for it. -With enough experience you can change someones appearance to a elf looking like a human. -Role Play only, no PvP advantage.
  2. Also I do not think it was stated, though could you make it that healing limbs would be a very tiring task and maybe not able to use healing again for 1 IRL day, or such, maybe 1 IRL hour for less extreme measures.
  3. Now I have been in a few decent chats recently and they are speaking about new magic ideas... How about, no need magic coming in but! upgrades of already current existing magic? Or different styles~ I think that would be better, yes?

  4. Should we implement and or try, rolling default? We've tried, pvp, Rp and now back to PvP, could we try what happens if roll default was placed in? Of course, Rp and PvP is still there.

I... prefer RP default to anything else. PVP has no 'RP' feeling behind it , and Rolling Default is just luck based.

Right, everyone saying roll default is stupid clearly weren't there when people used /roll 20, because it pretty much was RP default, except each action had a roll 20 behind it to decide its success rate. Really, its the least bias to somebody having a PC or writing skills.

    4. Kardel

      Kardel

Rp default, this is an rp server. Stop being item hungry and rp it out. And for those saying rolling is for plebs, its quite useful when deciding things that rely on pure luck, such as flinging something at a blind spot or other things.

  5. I understand the thing with the three keys, to open the door, though no MC item is to represent it so you don't loose it? What if you get the key and throw it into lava within role play, the whole month upon months event over that was planned?

  6. I am confused now, though I still keep my +1 out here. The monks heal the body by the souls-image, returning to the state of them being perfectly fine, perhaps even before the curse even comes across. That being an under-statement, what is meant by "Aerials" monks?. - Clerical and Ascended arise from the magic given by a patron, as what do the monks have~ though monks have no possible way of healing? I am confused on the factor. Sorry if it is clouding up the topic.
  7. If I could ask, why the monks would be unable to remove the curse? They work with the soul, not the body itself? Does the curse work with said soul?. Also if said person with the curse would be touched by the healing stream/mist of the monks, would something different occur? Edit: Would you prefer to speak of this in a private discussion if some aspects are given?
  8. I liked reading this lore, although I have a few qwirks with it, I will re-read later to see if I still think qwirks are still in so it is a +1 from me, to enhance role play! :D. - Though I would like to state that, monk magic isn't a form of holy magic. With this stated are they able to affiliate to remove the curse? Also this is a question, not a rant~ Kala try to not point out something that isn't apart of the conversation such as Other than that, I still keep my +1.
  9. As I am apart of the monks I decided to go theme song searching, I found a song, what do you think?

  10. With said symbols, what about if as the explanation as stated above with the fire-ball incident, that the symbol can slowly deteriorate over, from whence if more 'fire balls' are cast to said user the symbol would get weaker and weaker than soon break depending on the tier equivalent?
  11. Though as Kalameet stands correct and I do not wish to create a argument or anything I ask, the void of summoning, air, water, earth, fire and electricity are all different are they not? The void itself no, but the compounds of each element which you must know and than summon once more, holding two different thoughts at once of two different element compounds. It is 'hard' to do but essentially it is not possible. Though that is what I ask, is this correct?
  12. Yet holding a shield with a blade is different to holding two magics. You need to understand different mana constraints and everything added. Though I will say two spells you could perform but at a weaker level as they are two different places in magic, if void magic, water evocation is different to fire evocation, ect. To which it has to split two mental forms opening a weaker form of that said magic. As with this casting one spell at a time you can gain a higher and more powerful spell effect. Go by you wish but if you want to see about having that extra edge of more power do not work with two spells at once?
  13. I would think only well spell is able to be conjured at one time to add more effect and mages to work together, besides having a mage casting stone walls with fire shooting outwards. Though I guess this won't be considered, it is just my point of view. Though saying that it is casting one magic, you can cast multiple of that said one magic.
  14. Evark Evocress Placing both of his hands upon Pherak's shoulders bluntly holding over lightly yawning for a little moment he watches over, distorted energy being released through Pherak's body "Place your hands on my shoulders" Pherak sighs heavily as his arms move upon Evarks, "No more games, no more lies.. It's time." Evark Evocress Moving forward as his arms wrap around Pherak's neck from behind him slowly as he moves closer to hug him over, as he would urge Pherak to do the same "We will try again to connect our energy" Pherak cringes his face as his arms slide behind Evarks neck, his eyes dilate slightly as he starts manipulating his own Life. Evark Evocress Slowly controlling his essence of fire to slowly spread over at Pherak, a small hint of a burning sensation created nothing to distracting "What would you prefer using it on each other, ourselves or above ourselves?" Pherak "How about all three..." he says as he paves his LIfe-force into Evark’s, manipulating the flow to where, it would flow from Evark, into Pherak, then back into Evark like a steady flowing stream, the mist would start escaping, floating about them. Evark Evocress Watching about his eyes slowly widen, to narrow to than rest as the feelings wash over his very existence before he controls his flames to wrap lightly around the two vessels, it seems not to make contact to them both but seemly around the two energies where heat rests and contests over to the bodies of them. The fire spreads all up above them into a point over. Pherak inhales sharply as he uses his Life stream tether to encase the fire with the black mist. "Better than last time." he mutters. Evark Evocress Watching over the essence of flames slowly connect to the blackened mist before warping over the blackened mist with the actual flames burning around as he would go in attempt to connect them more so onto a substantial level, though he exhales and breaths heavily from this on the outside mostly what to be seen is a fire vortex around Pherak and Evark with black mist scourging around like pillars holding it up. Evark continuing to breath his body lightly shakes as the pressure commences... "Better yes... injury we shall see..." Pherak exhales almost in a hissing like manner, as he forces more of his Life-force into the vortex, that of four bodies worth of Life-force floating around them, encased in flame and death itself. Evark Evocress Watching over he winces bluntly but continues, both fire and the drain of life-force connecting over before the flames slowly twist themselves by the necromantical pull. Turning over towards the flames seems to connect over with the darkness. Pherak grips on tightly as the drain upon himself is felt just as it's felt by Evark, "K..Keep it up!" he grits his teeth as his joints begin to pain, a burning sensation felt on their skins. Evark Evocress Grunting bluntly, as he holds Pherak closer towards him as if they are embracing themselves, the vortex of flames pushing them tighter as it begins to burn slowly on the skins. He winces out before his joints lightly stiffer about before the flames and the necro-mist continue to sink together. Pherak cuts the draining tether, only manipulating the Life floating around them, as death and fire mix once again, he grips Evark's clothing tightly as the fire starts burning his skin "H...How m...Uch longer!??" ~Evark Evocress Holding tight, Evark's robes upper torso which is being held seems to rip and tear, sweat pouring down the both of them as he holds Pherak closer to the point that they cannot push or pull closer anymore, the life-force energy and the flames seem to connect as they Evark and Pherak do, merging together for a brink moment.~ (The result that would've happened?) (What essentially is happening is that both fire evocation and necromancy is attempting to merge as one, to create something different, though we are un-conclusive if this could happen or not so if possible a result would be nice)
  15. A flame lightly shines over growing upon Evark's body before it dissipates releasing over a gaze to one of the posters, a flame flickers at the edges to burn it bluntly but not ruin the poster just to leave a scar on the side. The flames die down around it as he gazes more along view. Slowly reading over it for a split instant he removes a slice of a scroll rolling it open. Flames develop across the page as writing before they drill and sear into the scroll. He attaches it to the side of the billboard with a blackened hand print with red outlines as a symbol to the black hand. " I've seen your possession of land, rise and fall. Great to diminishing all over but you seem to rise once more. I could be late to this postage but I recommend alliances all over your pettish little faction as it currently stands. Now you might not know who I am not why I insult a great guild at the time here, it is bluntly since you've fallen and are trying to rise again. So I offer you assistance if we could speak. Myself Evark Evocress, and the leader of the Black Hand. We would be alone, no catches or silence over with people watching. I hope we can come to a agreement. "
  16. With this lore, it does sound reasonable although to eyes of others, does it not count in slight over the top in a sense? Offensive magic with life drain effects and curses all offence mostly or could be used as such. Without it being much defence. I understand the things here and I was going to say it is reasonable in the sense. Although it also comes under things of the 'warlock' performing such spells if they are instant casts, channeled spells, or focus than fire? With this being said the 'tainted' seed in a sense when a mother is ipregnated than given the curse seed, what happens? Does the child still have it once born, and also with that stated no one can save the child from this?. That also said with the black fire you state, if it is easily smothered does it act like real fire? Such as evocated flames developing around the 'black' fire to smother it out. In turn killing the fire to replace it with evocated flames? ... I don't know where to rest with this lore in all term, but these are some questions I feel like they need to be answered on.
  17. I find this lore somewhat... well confusing in a sense, i'll explain. These monks that you are creating are in the world "battle" monks, yet as I see they give themselves and other "strength" and than "Healing" type boosts with strength of a orc and fire resistance, ect?, although I find that they are also bias in a sense which brings me to ask. Why is this lore needed at all? The monks already into play which are being role played at this moment can do all of the things you've suggested and such more so, although why don't we? Why have you not seen it before? To answer we are not bias, nor do we get into personal affairs of people, in turn you've not seen it since it has not been required to see or be shown. This being said the monks already can perform such things. I am not against your lore at all, I quite did enjoy the read although it is un-needed in the sense of that the monks can already do so, although with your lore, the monks you present in the sense are bias in a sense and can kill if they wish towards doing so, ect. So than I ask is this lore needed at all after the reason that the, well I am not sure how to place it hmmm, the already existing monks I will say already have this magic and more so.
  18. When I see a person on LoTC doing fire evo, and saying they are a master at it, than doing more powerful magic than you, (28 IRL months practice)

It'd be illogical, because of the aura around the cloud temple which cancels villainy/violence. You'd march in and suddenly feel incapable to fight.

It makes you unable to use violence if I recall correctly. Therefore you could still use other methods to dispatch or kill the monks.
