The Vsenki Band of Jovial Fellows The Gilded Hetman’s Mace and the red, black stripes of Vsenk. Come one, come all! ____________________________________________________________ Do you wish for adventure and fraternity? Brotherhood and glory? The Vsenki Band of Jovial fellows is a band for adventurers, warriors, and other folk seeking fraternity and glory. The band is placed in the township of Vsenk, housing its fellows in the town itself. They act to defend the town, if in danger, and will serve as a retinue of sorts for the citizens. He who swears his hoe, his hands, and his sword to Vsenk recieves a steed, armor and weapons, alongside housing (and payment!) The Burgundian Tradition ____________________________________________________________ The Vsenki Band follows the Burgundian Tradition of fraternity in brotherhood and equality amongst men. The leader of the band, called Ataman, is a mimic of the cossack formation in the Burgundian and Krajian civilizations. The Ataman can appoint an captains, to delegate his will in absence. The Ataman and the Band owe their loyalty, their blades and their lives, to the land of Vsenk and the Baron Volvakov himself. Alongside the Burgundian Fraternity, the Band elongates the Vladovic Cavalry Tradition, in the use of cavalry as the sole unit of combat. Though heartlandic orders often take cavalry as their levy, alongside the bear cavalry of the North, the Vsenki band is unique in that their horsemen are citizens in the times of peace. Fellows are encouraged to take up positions of importance and value within the fortress-town of Vsenk and assist in the development of the growing raev culture amongst the town. The Traditional Garb of the Fellow ____________________________________________________________ In respect for the culture of the town and for the unity of the band, members are given a selection of cloth to bear in battle and in life. These outfits have been designed and produced within the town of Vsenk itself and are handed out in charity to its citizens (including the Fellows).
