  13. I know you’re an admin and all but that’s not how Permanent Bans work. Priceflash had his ban set to a length of permanent and he’s free to roam. Along with plenty of other players. I don’t know why you need to be harsh to Ghaz, I get he’s not always the best, but lying straight out where the community can see, that’s not something you should do.

      @shiftnative “How would you deal with the dead respawning inside the very walls they were protecting?”
      We have a separate war server now. If you mean after their nation is defeated in a war: real nations and playerbases are subjugated or otherwise accept their defeat in some manner. Fake and weak ones just completely ditch their characters to start up something “new” with the same intent. (See Nordengrad → Rosenyr)

      They same way they pick their race. For more loosely organized races, such as Humans and modern Dwarves, there can be (and has been before) a little wayshrine hub to reach each Duchy or Kingdom from.

      It’s been done before, but I think perhaps the current staff don’t realize it’s an option, refuse to do it, or are just lazy. It’’s the same deal as setting default racial soulstone destinations.

      @AGiantPie The plan as it was revealed is a misshapen ring road with only two connections at opposite ends of the CT. This obviously means that a maximum of 4 plots will have maximum priority, and potentially only 1-2 depending on the importance of each on the road junctions. As the plots get farther from the two entrance roads they gain ridiculous distance due to a ring road’s indirectness, and are exponentially bumped down in priority since you have to pass other nations right on the road.

       

      @HortonHeardAWho Considering you joined not even two years ago, I wouldn’t make such suggestions. It’s important that people learn. Noob days are precious, but they can't last forever.

      @shiftnative The problem I have is that this objectively poor map layout is being forced upon us in the name of travel equality. When the brain geniuses in charge of its design finally revealed the roads, it turned out that they completely went back on their concept. Silly objectives that 501 (or whatever simpleton is in charge now) can’t even hold himself to, and decrepit concepts like the monks and forcing spawns at CT hold the server back as a whole.

      The demands and desires of a Human settlement versus Sutica’s are quite different. The broad analysis I’ll give in a status update is that in a place like Sutica, more veteran players with more “developed” or unconventional characters will gather for safety and belonging RPly & OOCly. Conversely, many Human settlements are actually more OOCly diverse and act as places that new players are looked after and “grow up” in the sense of LotC knowledge.

      Maybe you don’t understand how player traffic, especially for new ones, works. Order and distance are vitally important when map makers refuse to let go of the CT as a centerpoint.
