I know, i don’t think it’s for the sake of complaining I think it’s just saying “i have a problem and this is my scapegoat”
The vast, vast, majority of these events have been for Acre, Oren, and Haense.
Even if (entertaining the idea) these are “just st doing events for st”, why the hell wouldn’t i get rid of them
I have two managers dedicated to looking at and after st events, I think you’re holding too little faith. We run event audits to make sure people are hosting their events.
While we’re coming up with more overt advertising in the form of bounty boards in at latest, the coming map, there are still forum posts and in game word of mouth. These events consistently are 5-15 people, from the log, which I wish I could say I had that many et on, a little under twice a day, for hours, actively roleplaying.
I love my team, and yet they can do fault. I’ve removed a plenty of members, and my managers more.
To sit inside of a city or to wait for an event to come to you is by no means the fault of any ET. To sit and not engage with posts, roleplay, or other communities, will leave you in the isolated wall you’ve surrounded yourself in.
Theres even more events specifically coming for human communities in the coming months. More of our maplore. More of our reactive, player-started interactions through magic summons which will have consequence on them and to a larger extent, the lands around them. This map was pretty fucked given the minimal maplore we had during the two-month mapdev was wiped and replaced in about a time half as long, which we’ve been using and will continue to use.
If we’ve got nearly two events a day, more than about any time i’ve ever been on during my time on ST since 2019, i’m pretty happy. And we’ll keep improving. But that isn’t just for us to do.
