    I have OCD as well and it's not always some strange deranged obsession. It can just being very unsure of one's self. My main symptom was being late for work dozens of times because when I went to leave work I was never sure if I actually locked the door and so would walk from my car to check on the door and get back in my car only to check the door several more times.

      You gotta look at it from their perspective. Every nation leader wants their nation to be the most active. As a result they strive to reward the people who help increase activity the most. It’s nothing personal against you.

      At the end of the day this is a game where people are playing primarily with their friends. If you can not befriend people, that says something both about them and about you. I personally do not know who you are and am not trying to insult you. I wish that you could rise without ever talking in discord, but that is not really how most places work on this server.

    Another thing that is used to justify retconning RP. Not everyone who uses lore agrees with rewrite.

      @MedvekomaThe real issue isn't the abstract lore, its arbitrary nature stems from the rp itself being free-form. This is why tabletop rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons will always be better, you have mechanics that factually say someone is stronger and the fight itself is dictated by concise numbers. Player intellect translated to character intellect through RP still exists, just with streamlined rules. It's one of the biggest reasons I quit lotc, and is a reason I won't be returning. There are even dumb downed tabletops with simple number sets using 6 sided dice if you find playing the norm (DnD) boring. Some even more complicated such as GURPS. Free-form RP just isn't for me, after 6 years I realized that. Dunno why it took so long considering the massive amount of LARPs and tabletops I already attend. This is ignoring the removal of lore (which I disagree with) that exists which is an inherent problem in a fantasy world or any narrative really. Lore is treated as game mechanics rather than actual story progression by the server, which removes the point of the writing itself. No lore should ever be removed, just changed or caused to disappear with viable RP.

      Most of the lore removed drives absolutely no narrative, just gives a small amount of players the ability to engage in their preferred snowflake fantasies.

      Point of the argument is with mechanics you wouldn't need pvp. The lore that offers no narrative is relative and arguable depending on the piece. You don't remove lore for becoming irrelevant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plot_hole

    I guess the consequences of getting in an unfavorable position with a mage aren't important.

    Being hit with something harder is more dangerous because a harder material will not yield as much as softer meaty fists and will result in more pressure. When you're talking about bludgeoning then all you need to worry about is pressure. I can use a truck to gently push you with far more force than a punch but it won't hurt you.
