  1. I've mentioned this a lot before but I'll mention it again here. Steadily over time I've seen holy healing be buffed and the few negative components simply erased from roleplay. Bring this stuff back. Make holy healing painful for the patient again. It's simply natural that healing is uncomfortable. Heck in real life stuff like popping a joint back into place hurts, wounds that are healing itch, you get sore and ache, etc. Yet often I see people being holy healed just talking through the process or not even reacting. Make holy healing imperfect. Leave scars behind, nerve damage, stop with this perfect result crap! Make holy healing require mundane healing, both knowledge and involvement. You shouldn't be able to heal a wound that you do not know information about or on a body part that you don't understand the functions of. Broken bones should have to physically be set again. Burn wounds should acknowledge that the burned flesh is dead and thus can't be revived. Use blissfoil for the pain, tippens for the bleeding, etc. Limit the size of things that can be "regrown" by a holy healer and instead focus on reattachments or transplants. Yes, holy healers should be more effective/quicker than non-holy healers... But not to the point we have now where there is no point in non-holy healers being around.
  2. I've been a bit inactive lately but I have a Kha named Nemain that's working on learning Druidism so hopefully we bump into one another! ? Don't worry about the slow typing stuff. Sometimes I take forever to think about what to put or I've got something on the other half of my screen distracting me. I dunno if this would help but I'd recommend having something written that you could like copy paste for if you ever need to ask someone to slow down.
  3. After reading one of the posts a certain pale elfess decides she can make some money off this. Recruiting some of her kin to help her they set up shop outside both the Dominion's 'ker district and Warhawke region. From the back of a small wagon Xirena and her family offer a limited edition shirt with 'Not my Prince' written across it. Only 15 minas! When asked how she seriously feels about the declaration Xirena has this to say. "Personally I thought it was stupid when he waltzed into Velu-whatever and started taking over. Grabbing and taking what you want? That's how a savage acts, not a civilized elf. Now look! He states there can be no debate nor contest? So what, he's gonna intimidate or force the other 'ker into following him? Ridiculous... For a limited time you can let all those around you know how you feel! Buy one of our quality tops, made with only the finest materials! We even have a tabard version coming soon!"
  4. Opinion on pet birds? Cats or dogs? Pepsi or Coke? Cake or Pie? Coffee or tea? And of course the cliche question: What do you think of Cheza and Nemain?
  5. Typically when people complain about immortality they don't mean the whole being revived thing. They mean how Ascended stop aging and live forever. Which honestly I don't mind them having that. On the one hand yeah it is odd that a T1 Ascended becomes immortal while Clerics and Paladins don't despite also being 'holy' groups. However, considering their work as soul caretaker things I suppose it does make sense for them to cease aging so that they can continue their work throughout time... Even though new Ascended could just be trained. Perhaps add a set number of Ascended there can be to further give reasoning for Aeriel to be granting out immortality? Nothing drastically small of course. Or make it so that only a higher tier Ascended gets it?
  6. My issue with Ascended is I don't see a reason for them being what they are/have been. From what I've always read and heard they existed to fight Iblees and his minions. Yet despite Iblees being gone the Ascended are still around and push for their magic to be a strong combative magic. Personally I think Ascended (if they don't get shelved) should heavily tone down the fighting spells. When I hear "Caretaker of Souls" I don't think of someone crusading or going out and killing things. I picture healing, I picture guidance, calming, and aiding. Maybe some defensive shields or barriers of a sort. Be like the Aengul, be caretakers.
  7. Kha aren't connected to CA's at all. If someone wants to make a Kha they go through same process as someone wanting to make an elf, or an orc, or a halfling, etc.

    Soft PKs

Sounds neat, my only concern would be how do you suggest ensuring such isn't abused? How do you prevent it from just further cementing certain cliques of players only doing things for one another? For example: I decide to make my own little eventline thing centered around... Stealing something, I dunno. Whatever it is I'm up to though Billy Bob decides he wants to join. It sounds like fun to him and his character heard about it so he's got a valid way into the RP. I OOCly dislike Billy Bob. I think he's an idiot, I don't want him involved in my group no matter what his character is like or what RP was done. So I go out of my way to ensure he dies. Or say I decide on an eventline that at the end everyone gets some neat item/magic/whatever. But I only want my friends to get it so I ensure that everyone else dies along the way.
  9. For all the people saying "soulstones" yeah that works great until you have to escort another character somewhere that they don't have one bound to. Heaven forbid you be in an actual group cause now you gotta figure out who has what and is going/meeting where. With only 3 slots roughly (less if the character is newer/inactive) they have rather limited use really except to move yourself about to wherever you most frequently go. I had that happen to me yesterday. Needed to bring a friend to Sutica to show them a project there. I had a SS, he didn't. Cue 20 minutes of running along the roads. Yes, I timed it. Running from Dominion to Sutica takes 20 minutes. 20 minutes of holding a button down and staring at the screen in boredom. At least the RP once we were there was enjoyable. Honestly we either need horses back to the way they were or we need fast travels of some sort. I'd even settle for some sort of toggled run, to be honest. At least then you could type and hold a conversation while running about. With horses they have many issues currently, slow of course being the number 1 issue. They also can't be protected or called anymore. These things combined have resulted in people simply not using them. I think I've seen a whole 1 horse actually ridden within the last few months. Personally I'd prefer fast travels restored to the way we've often had them. It's a simple system that works. Players don't waste time silently running around (unless they're going to some random place in freebuild or just wanted to explore) and instead get where they're going quickly to engage in RP there. I know people are gonna say "but what about the roadside RP!" I've yet to see any on this map. The one time someone stopped me on the road it was to OOCly say they liked my skin and then ran off again. But hey, perhaps a compromise: have fast travels but they only go so far. Cut down on travel distance and time but don't go the full length of the journey to save some "roadside" opportunities. Maybe from CT there could be carts that go half the distance to various locations. RP excuse could be that the CT monks are running this system and that's as far as they wanna go.
  10. I am in love with that context image, reminds me of a shark in the midst of hunting with the blank eyes and huge grin full of teeth.
  11. "The Strictures are simple and straightforward, anyone that needs a guide to understand them probably is too young or foolish for the religion. Though this is rather hard to read, honestly... Changes color halfway through and it is hard to notice the actual Strictures that are merely underlined. Could use a formatting change." Despite her opinion Cheza tosses the document into her files for holding onto and then resumes her sewing.
  12. I use buttons in decorations of my builds, so no don't go removing a block just because people don't like that they can't put a ladder up. Next thing they'll be saying remove stairs and slabs too. Also ladders should have to be sensible if we hope to keep any form of immersion and realism. But with all of this I have to ask, why? If a city has worked to make their walls difficult to climb over then find a different way in. Defenders shouldn't be told that their work (trying to prevent raiders from breaking in) is gonna just get removed.
  13. Cheza sighs as she looks through the various papers brought to her today, having little interest in the Global Assembly. The name on one paper, however, catches her eye. "Alexandra? Hrm, that reminds me... One of us went by that name once. I should check in on that one sometime soon. So much to do!" With a hum she files each document away and then boxes them up.
  14. Cheza pauses in the midst of a sip of tea and slowly closes her eyes. She sits there, still as a statue, for some time before one of her sons tugs at her arm in concern. "It is nothing, little one. I merely feel as if someone I once knew is now lost... They might be found again and they might not. Such is the way of life that people leave us sometimes even if we don't want them to." ((Good luck with school out there! Hopefully all goes well for you, you were a fun person and will be missed.
  15. You missed one. I still don't understand what the disconnection of two Clerics of Tahariae has to do with followers of Yeu Rthulu. Completely separate magics with utterly different ways of doing things. Gotta support the author of the magic here. This goes directly against the spirit of Enaction which already has mentions within the lore of how people end up unable to use the magic. If people aren't following those correctly then a Magic Report is the way to go, not forcing something harmful like disconnection. And yes, a forced disconnection is harmful. Even for a magic like this. I don't see Yeu Rthulu allowing such to be done to her followers even if they've strayed from the path for now.
  16. Cheza prepares some popcorn with a grin on her face. "Guess this Barrowlord decided to do like the Druids and out some information. I wonder what will get passed around next, I want more amusement."
  17. My favorite Ascended...
  18. I want this. We already can unofficially do this kinda, I had it confirmed for me at the start of Vailor that a character could reincarnate so long as it isn't used for meta, but official lore to point to would be great.
  19. Are you seriously trying to shame a player for not wanting to kill off their character? That's just plain sad to see from an Event Actor. If your events are so reliant upon someone else having to do exactly what it is you want perhaps you should try writing books instead of Roleplaying with other people.
  20. That should mean the puppeteer PK's then if they are willingly dying for a spell. How do you 'carefully' deal with crushed organs? Even if it were an organ that technically you don't need (like one kidney or gallbladder) there would be massive internal bleeding. A shattered bone as well, depending on location and severity, could easily tear though stuff. There have also been documented cases of the sternum and ribs penetrating the heart when broken. As for shattered arms and legs: In other words. For a puppeteer to use these spells they either knowingly are killing themselves or knowingly mangling their own body. Why do these spells exist then?
  21. "Crushing of bones" and "squeezing of organs" seem way too serious and strong to be a mere T3 spell.
  22. Cheza laughs as she slips away with her own copy of the letter, finding it while wandering about the various groves and quickly writing down what it said. "Oh this is delightful. I knew most of this already, bless Toren's trust of me, but this fills in the few gaps that still remained! A Shadow Circle... Should have suspected something during that one incident with the Halfling I suppose. Ah, I could hug Song if I didn't think he'd hit me for it!" The 'demon' woman relaxes once behind the thick door of her room and looks to the two toddlers now awake in their crib. The pair staring at their mother in confusion before starting to fuss for her attention. As she lifts her sons up and lets them move about on the floor she continues to speak. Partially to herself and partially to the two much too young to understand. "I've seen with my own eyes that he speaks truth. Disgraceful how Renn refused to focus upon the fact that a Druid had tried to murder a Brother, the prime suspect of attacking a Sister... Instead she merely wanted to discredit and focus upon the 'wrongdoings' she saw within the witnesses. Elswyen complained about Hareven's trial yet outright walked out of her own and despite being found guilty I doubt she has been punished at all. Just need to find her and see if she still has both her eyes. It is disgusting, really. That sort of laziness and corruption was why I left the Clerical Order so long ago and why I left the Druidic Order after... So few of them actually deserve any form of respect anymore." - - - Elsewhere a young Kha holds her head in confusion and lays beneath a tree. Uncertain after the things she has heard of what she should believe. Her duufles keeping her company as she turns her gaze skyward to stare at the moon.
  23. Cheza squints at the flier. "Did someone take over the clinic and not bother to inform any of the workers? I've been a medic there for some years now... Ever since I talked to that one small man with Lailah."
