  1. Leniandir would spot one of the notices as she travelled, a large something bundled very carefully in a sack upon her back wriggling every now and then. "Eh, wha's this? HA," She pulled the note down, tearing the corner slightly. "Would yah look a' tha' Deacon?" She showed it to her ceramic golem assistant. "Eh doesn' know how teh fin' ah teacher. Maybeh they're too nervous teh ask fer themselves, aye?" She laughed alone to herself, the emotionless construct having little reaction, though it nodded. Leniandir set the wriggling sack down very gently, and penned a response. Though it couldn't possibly be known, whether or not the original writer would ever pass by the exact notice board upon which the young Ker would respond, she pinned it to the bottom of the note regardless. "To the youngling who seeks a teacher, I would like to offer some advice. Most, if not all, teachers of the alchemical arts who value the quality of their craft will rarely seek out the student by their own will. Dig your heels in lad, and search with your own eyes." Upon finishing it, and tacking it up on the board, with the assistance of deacon she once more donned the wriggling pack upon her back, and began to cadance and jog in time with Deacon, back towards her home.
  2. Passing some, but few, on the roads as she walked, Leniandir heaved as she pulled a carefully packed cart along the long path from the Vale to the once blighted lands of the hollow. There upon the edge, by the hill, while the healing took place, she stood out of the way of the process and slowly chiselled in the final touches to her craft. Before her upon a pedastol stood a granite statue, in size slightly larger than life, done in the likeness of the late Tanila Aureon. Though she did not know this woman, the knowledge of the sacrificial process that took place and the emotional trauma which lingered with that knowledge tickled at the dark elf woman's eyes. Pained, for the suffering of those who knew her, Leniandir worked tirelessly. Until it was complete, there she would be working upon the statue, and until it was safe to enter, there she would stay by the hollow in wait, to install the memorial for the brave druid who put down their life to save the ungrateful, who would never know what had transpired here.
  3. Had sell between Salmon and Tuna, I'm a sushi kinda lady when it comes to fish [swordfish makes the best sushi, but it's incredibly difficult to find if you don't live on the southern coast] but all seafood is godly, so I'm also not picky with it

  5. Confused, as he read over the missive a few more times, having picked it up from a bin where someone had thrown it away. "Does this mean it can go in, and read from the library yet..?" The sorvian Glothir asked, looking around at its relatively wood elf saturated surroundings. He brought the missive to a young Miven, to ask her his questions. @WestCarolina
  6. discord down make me sad

  7. Glothir reads the missive over once or twice, tilting his head this way and that as he gauged the responses of those of the Vale around him. Confused, he knew the name of his Nephew, the metal boy Rylanor, and the names of those who spoke against him. His first experience with this conflict within. He held the paper for some time as he watched the others flutter to the ground. He had no reason not to believe the words of his nephew, who had never lied to him before, and was unsure how to gauge his own feelings towards the responses of those who lived in the village he'd sword to protect.. In the midst of the mess of papers, he slowly walked away down the roads.

  12. Helloooo, I've decided to start up a little something for fun, I'll offer a selection of base jar + pose for you to pick from and then you comment below with what you want, so let's have some fun. These will be Mina based commissions, meaning that I won't rush to complete them, but they'll most certainly get done until I close down this little project. Here are the jars : D EXAMPLES: [this will be updated as I draw more of them] Every commission will cost a blanket 150 Mina These will be based off of Minecraft Skins, to simplify everything. If you decide you want one, please remember to set the Mina aside so that you're able to pay for it once the time comes around for me to draw yours. If you decide that you don't want one anymore, just strikeout or edit your comment please. [ I reserve the right to refuse certain people ] Sidenote: Please no full armor skins, I'm not super great at armor, and just a forewarning I'm not super great at Ologs/Orcs either, but it should work out okay since these are chibis, probably. [Pending Payment] [Queue] Form: Username: The Jar you want: Character's Name: Char's Race: Front & Back images of the skin:
  13. The edit to preserve the Anvil aesthetic has been made
  14. Given the feedback regarding the use of anvils themselves, I'll take some time to organize the spell in a more aesthetic way that makes it also involve an anvil of some type, to keep the aesthetic of a "golem anvil" going. I'll comment again when it's edited. However, the thanhium requirement is still going to be removed, as controversial as it may be, I do not enjoy golemancy being locked behind the rare knowledge of Thanhic forging. If it is any example of how difficult it is to actually learn thanhic forging, since the rewrite for golemancy was written, only 1 person has made their own golem anvil. Everyone else, including several very active golemancers, do not know thanhic forging.
  15. This addition is for writing in a new spell which will allow a golemancer of at least T1 to be able to activate a golem core without the use of a Golem Anvil. This provides an alternative way to create golems that doesn't rely on the knowledge of Thanhic Forging [as even in original golemancy this was not a roadblock that existed, this happened after the new materials system was introduced], or by proxy the possession or access to a Thanhic Forge. As currently, golemancy ends up locked behind this knowledge, with any golemancer who doesn't know thanhic forging being unable to make their golem anvil and unable to create golems. This was originally, not intentional, I just didn't think about the fact that it would happen when I did the golemancy rewrite. The addition will affect the following: And if accepted, will change it to: [alongside a small edit to the anvil redlines and core redlines that say things like the golem anvil being required, in order to add mention of this alternate golem anvil] The Golem Anvil The dwed of old were capable of astounding feats; caverns hollowed in the blink of an eye, runes which powered cities, and forges hot enough to melt through the earth itself — yet all these paled to the prized creation of the Dwarves; the Golems. It was through the craftiness of Dwedmar that these constructs came into creation. Though only through a particular means, such being the Golem Anvils — anvils constructed of thanhic steel by a Golemancer for the sole purpose of preparing golem cores. An alloyed creation of Thanhium and Steel forged very carefully with a flat top that is wider than average, and square in shape. In contrast, in the new era magic is a more commonplace and experimental concept. Ever changing, as enthusiastic souls push their abilities to their limits. In the year 50 of the Second Age, a young crazed golemancer who had thirsted for magical knowledge for many of his years, discovered a way to utilize the magic of golemancy itself to mimic the process of activation that normally uses a thanhic golem anvil. Using one's ability to create sigils, the golemancer would first construct the sigil of Golem Heart. This sigil is only used in this process, and is put into the anvil. Any anvil would do, as long as the sigil is slotted well into it in some fashion. The sigil could even be carved directly into the anvil itself, as long as such is done on a non striking surface to avoid damage. After the sigil is applied to the anvil, utilizing the spell the golemancer will forge the core on the anvil and begin to course their mana & soul essence through said them at the same time. As they do so, the Golem Heart sigil will be activated by the mana and begin to redirect it through the anvil back into the core. This causes the core to chill rapidly, emulating the use of a thanhic anvil near perfectly. Carving the Sigil Knowledge of this spell & sigil quickly spread as the dwed chanted his discovery to the masses, it wasn't long until it had reached the ears of most golemancers, the news getting out of hand long before it could be halted by those standing in it's way praising tradition. - It takes 3 ingots worth of thanhic steel at any forge, or 3 ingots worth of thanhic dust at a thanhic forge [to be alloyed properly]. -The means of creating a Golem Anvil must be learned in-roleplay, from a golemancer with a TA or at an ST run Self-Teach Altar. -Without a Golem Anvil, Golem Cores cannot be made, unless using the spell of activation as an alternative. -Golem Anvils have no other function beyond the creation of Golem Cores. - - When the spell & sigil are used in place of a golem anvil, the core received is exactly the same as though it were made with the thanhic one, the spell itself having been invented to perfectly replicate the effects of the thanhic steel on the core. - The activation spell & sigil are common knowledge, and known to all golemancers. - When a golemancer creates their Golem Anvil with the sigil, an ST signature is still required for the item. - Golem anvils of any kind, sigil or thanhic, cannot be made in combat.
  16. Keeping in mind of course that, aside from the name, every other fantasy server also has the rest of what you listed That part of fantasy has long since become a staple of worldbuilding, its not just lord of the rings. Take golemancy for instance, that definitely came from somewhere as a concept, who knows where I didnt originally write it, but its unique enough to itself that I wouldn't be able to tell you which source it was inspired from. Tons of fantasy roleplay settings have golems, but there's usually some kind of change or unique aspect to it that makes it more personal to that particular setting.
  17. I dislike the general idea that we would somehow pass lore that's ripped off D&D with bare minimum changes, if we did do that I could write like 7 lore pieces right now to get passed based off D&D concepts
  18. Mmm, It's a difficult point to make, I'll precede with that. As someone who suffers from some mental illness, mostly ptsd and depression, I sort of stand in the middle of it all? You see, I've been roleplaying.. oh god like, .. Since I was 12 so, 15 years? But the events that brought on my difficulties didn't happen until 2013, so I can see it from both points of view here. Obviously when I roleplayed as a youngin', as you do, you make those characters who are "cool" and "edgy" with multiple personalities, ptsd and whatever else it was we decided they should get from a bump on the head, lol. So I understand what's going through a person's mind [usually] when they decide to roleplay that stuff. It would be cool if someone properly roleplayed out the mental illness, but at the same time as someone who experiences it, I don't think Realistic mental illness is a very fun thing to roleplay. And I wouldn't really ever feel like anyone should *have* to do it all that accurately, lighten it up a bit if you'd like to in order to make it more enjoyable, that's totally fine, cuz we're here to have fun. Not adhere to some super strict storyline x) However, I also understand to an extent, the viewpoint of the other folks who have experienced those afflictions or know someone who has, who might feel offended by how people roleplay mental illness. However, unfortunately in my own personal opinion I think it's just one of those things that you kind of have to just accept, it's just not very nice to walk up to someone and say "Hey, I don't like the way you're deciding to have fun right now and it offends me" and expect them to stop, 🤷‍♀️ Now of course not everyone does that ^ , but I've absolutely seen it from a few. The stigma or stereotypes of how mental illnesses are portrayed doesn't come from inaccurate roleplayers, it comes from media & movies / TV shows, so I wouldn't wanna be mad about it *nodnod
  19. Glothir stumbles across the curious poster in his travels, and casually takes one for himself to keep, very gently folding it and placing it in a front pocket of his trusty backpack.

  21. Generally speaking, I would say that this is incredibly lacking for an addition. I like the modify voice spell, with a small touch up I could see it being added to housemagery, but the scribe spell isn't terribly unique or useful. Housemages can already use their magic to have a writing tool go ahead and do its thing all on its own, although it is neat to generate the ink without the need to dip in an inkwell, its only a very slight change. Aside from that, I'd say that I would want to see a little more content in an addition, rather than just one or two abilities
  22. idk about Aethier, but I didn't even know we *had* grass VIP so I support it having at least *some* benefits Sybbyl signs the petition
