Akakhel-Keruk, also known as the Ashen Vision, is a malyker institute which vows to provide its disciples the necessary skills to better themselves in cultural understanding and self-defense. It is a bastion and brotherhood for malyker within and outside the Khanate, seeking to unite each and every dark elf through a proper restoration of the people. The disciples trained and fostered here are not servants or personal soldiers, but warriors who choose to represent themselves, their ancestors and the blood of Helun-Velulaeya: ythaen or ythael.
A modern concept known as Bevonulel forms the basis of Akakhel-Keruk’s three core responsibilities set for its students. It can be described as a state of great conflict that affects the lives of the malyker and the people they care for. Anyone who seeks guidance from the institute works to temper their body, mind and soul in preparation of such conflict, so that they may prevail by any means necessary.
The Ashen Vision believe that close adherence to the obligations below, along with the preservation of history and the guidance of ancestors often overlooked, will allow the malyker to succeed in Bevonulel and bring to them a prosperous age of silver moonlight, where the culture may distinctly flourish alongside their orcish allies and elfen cousins.
VELURV - Learnedness is necessary in preparation for Bevonulel. One must come to understand the world around them and be receptive to the constant change of the material. Disciples are expected to seek out knowledge as the first maehr once did to assess any situation, whether it be conflict or otherwise. To fail is to be stagnant, plagued by archaic minds and ignorance.
OHKEMUM - Humility is necessary in preparation for Bevonulel. One must allow themselves to think pragmatically and reduce ego where it could cause harm, grounding themselves to realism. Disciples are expected to toss away hubris and show their true strength in the face of conflict or personal affairs. They must respect the power of others, even opponents, to avoid underestimation. To fail is to be overcome by delusion, destined to fall from a high horse only they can perceive.
SHADARHAR’LUTH - Conquering oneself is necessary in preparation for Bevonulel. One must toil in all aspects, forcing themselves to become unwavering physically and mentally. Disciples are expected to train through relentless practice and conditioning, remain focused on their goals and any consequences that could arise from them, as well as abstain from actions that contradict these responsibilities and prevent themselves from having clear thought. To fail is to become weak-willed, powerless against the conflict ahead.
Akakhel-Keruk is currently seeking books on malyker history as well as wizened maehr and potential disciples of different creeds and backgrounds to help establish foundations for malyker success within Cauróst, Lurak, and Braevos as a whole. Tools will be provided, and more complex methods of defense will be offered to those who show great effort to the cause. We will not allow ourselves to become stagnant, nor corrupted by the Ibleesian taint which has torn some of us apart. Whether you are of the Great Houses of old or a nomadic ashlander, write to me or leave a letter within my offices in either aforementioned demesne if interested.
