  1. Athanas paused mid-reading as the news would reach him, a sad glint formed in his eyes as he bowed his head. He had only spoken once with Ser Elerrion yet that conversation alone left a strong impression - the two exchanged small stories of Templars and the lack of an arm. Words Athanas didn't realise he needed to hear until now. He had hoped to hear more from the Templar. He hoped to tell him that he finally chose the path he would walk, though not that of a Templar. Instead, that would be a tale he would not be able to share. "Lady Aeriel, guide his soul to his patron's realm..." he prayed softly, "...Your duty is done, may you rest in peace, Ser Elerrion..."
  2. Athanas sighed deeply, adjusting his blackened glasses, "And so does the Empire begin its usual hunts against the Light rather than the Dark... I suppose now is a better time than any to release my books, educate the people so they know the Clerics are their allies against the Darkspawn." He paused and took a sip of his tea, contemplating, "...William, now is your time. Help your people realise they will be losing a valuable ally if they deem them the enemy,"
  3. Always loved this lore, especially when Booklight first told me about it when he was planning it! So I'm glad to see it being updated! +1
  4. Welcome to LOTC! If you love in depth RP and lore, then you've certainly found the right place for it! Just looking at the wiki and current lore alone should give you a clear idea on what to expect! Also, I was actually in the Ish civ event (part of Luminara) so it's great to see it inspire others to dip their toes into Minecraft RP, though Ish' video is more very light RP - LOTC is the deep and detailed RP. I'm a returning old player, so I understand the feeling of being a little intimidated and not knowing where to start. If I see you in-game, I'll be sure to interact with you!
  5. Amazing! Also, cannot help but wonder if those patterns in the seas are symbols and what they mean...
  6. I was considering coming back to see how things are going, I chose a good time!

  7. A lone elf would soon hear the news of Raguel for the first time and his ear flicks in surprise and some curiousity. Athanas Naromis leans back in his chair and contemplates. "Hm, interesting. I certainly should look into this... certainly up my alley, and I'm curious if the domain of Justice was given to Raguel, or if Tahariae still bears such domain alongside purity also,"
  8. Aelker grins happily for her old friend, going to make sure her suit is all cleaned up for the day.
  9. Aelker frowns at the poster, crossing her arms. "Damn Darkspawn"
  10. As a former cleric player - I am very intrigued by this new direction for Tahariae and the clerics. Lovely work, folks!
  11. Aelker crossed her arms, glancing to her Starry Owl chick that was perched on her shoulder, "Hm, so that's why Elora mentioned strictly about treason... lose a hunter, gained a maiden. I'll make sure not to repeat the mistakes he made,"
  12. Aelker sighs in relief as she hears the outcome of the battle, relieved the Darkspawn were dealt with,. A small starry owlet perched on her shoulder, gazing around the city intently. "Damn bastards turned up just as I was about to get a house in Celia'nor... but I'm glad the Darkspawn didn't have run of the place," the Human-Elf hybrid sighs in relief.
  13. [!] A simple parchment would be posted on noticeboards throughout Aevos, written in the same simple handwriting. [!] LOOKING FOR WORK Hello, I'm currently looking for some form of work within Aevos. I don't mind the location and I am willing to move to said city for work. I don't have much skills, aside from travelling, researching, basic first aid, and hard labour. Thankfully, I am a quick learner so I am happy to learn new skills, such as combat, etc, as well. So if anyone does need an extra pair of hands, I'm happy to work for whatever catches my interest. Please sent me a letter by bird if you wish to discuss hiring me or have any suggestions! Thank you! -Aelker Falkenberg Unemployed wanderer

  15. From within the Soulstream, a long passed Ascended observed the fight from a pool of water. Her arms crossed and gaze set on what she bore witness to. An exhausted sigh escaped from her lips. "...And thus does Light and Dark clash once more. The eternal conflict continuing on as it should. Though I wish the Paladins and their allies well, as there is still a fight they must fight," Her eyes flickered to a particular face, Faenor, and she couldn't help but smile. A mother bearing pride in a child, a grin of an old woman amused by what she was seeing. "...and to think you'd use my bloody relic to carry on where I left of, be it in your own unique way... hah! Of course you would and I'm all for it! Wear it well, as it bears my hope to see the world to contiune on its path despite the many who seek to harm it. Forge ahead, Faenor,"
  16. It's been far too long since there's been a really good cleric rewrite that is balanced but still maintains the aspects of what it means to be a cleric, without resorting to older rewrites and old ways. This is one of the best ones I've seen. I am also really happy to see the prophecy side of Tahariae being explored a bit, I figured it'd be a neat concept to explore when I was assigned with rewriting and updating Tahariae's lore - even if it's just a neat little detail in the Aengudaemon's lore. Tahariae and the Clerics always held a strong place in my heart as one of my favourite LotC lore pieces and I've had so many good memories with other clerics, so to see folks still wanting to bring it back and build up where I've left off... it makes me happy to see. +1 - Bring the clerics back.
  17. Godspeed to you, lads - I hope this gets accepted and that you guys do better than what I did in the past. So do have fun with the lore and that you bring good RP to yourselves and others! +1.
  18. As the former leader of both the Clerics and the Ascended, godspeed to you with this, Archi, and I pray that you won't encounter any issues either holy orders faced in the past. You got my blessing for this, mate!
  19. Fancy starting up a tavern that uses alchemy for the drinks, just like old times? In all seriousness - best moments with Elvira?
  20. Athanas listened as news of the proclaimation spread. The one armed high elf shaking his head as he leaned back in his home, alone and sipping a cup of tea. "At the end of the day, we all bear crimson blood, we shed the same tears, and we all meet death when our journey is all said and done. Tradition dictates one race is greater than others, but any wise man would know traditions are meant to be broken and reforged anew if it means keeping up with the days and the ever-changing times. Those who dwell within the past are doomed to remain there if they do not change. Afterall, most forget that perfection is unachieveable, we will forever have flaws despite the many attempts to fix them or convince ourselves otherwise. An alchemist can attempt to create the purest of potions but it impossible as there will always be a flaw with it. True purity itself is impurity, as we're all just ants within the dirt while the greater powers above see no indifference between us all," "Maehr lye’n, nae chul narn nor olmet," he says simply before going to down the rest of his drink.
  21. Athanas gazes about the land, his vision blurred. He recognised the city well, although the fog and the darkness loomed overhead. A soft frown upon his lips, noticing the specters and stench of undeath. Concern filled his eyes. "...it almost fits my mother's description of Ebrietaes - desolate with fog and corrupted souls ever wandering, no sun to light their path. Hrm... mother, if you were still here, you would no doubt investigate this matter with full force. Yet, you and your kin are no longer here, so it would seem I will have to investigate this," he glanced down to the braclet on his only hand, bearing the amulet of a silver kestrel with a teal crystal clutched in its claws. "Yet... what or who could have done this? Necromancers? Mystics? Or is it another greater power attempting to lay claim on the land. I should speak with Kalgrimmor and other members of the Mages' Guild for advice and aid," the elf nodded his head in confidence.

  24. I'm back so how about this Hard cap the number of potions to three to four and they must be ST-Approved and in the users inventory. No lore targetting/limiting a group, no lore stating a group will face backlash, just a hard bloody cap. Not everything and its mother needs a lore amendant to say who can do what and not, just state oocly there's a hard cap on how many potions you can carry because people are carrying inventories full of potionsd leave it at that. That way, it ensures everyone is limited to having specific potions, having to think what potions they're carrying on them, and affectes EVERYONE. [Edit] Here's another idea - Allow Alchemists a chance to stablize their potions! If their potion starts acting up while in the presence of a connected voidal mage - let the alchemist have a chance in making sure that vial doesn't explode on them and a chance to still use it. Make it a roll requirement of above a 10 or 15 depending on if its a beginner potion or a master potion. Just give the Alchemists a chance to be able to prevent a disaster, as they should have the skill to prevent it! This lore is targetting one group - not everyone, not addressing or fixing the issue, it is targetting one group. It's like slapping a bandaid on a life-threatening wound - it looks like it's helping, but it isn't. Can we just please stop with lore that outright restricts a group for a problem that is happening with every single bloody group! This is why I love you, Delmo. THIS ^ If this lore amendant doesn't look like specific targetting, I'm not sure what will. Holy magic and dark magic should also affect a potion, if we're going down this route. Deity magic isn't natural and is bound to conflict with the potions the same way Voidal conflicts, as with some dark magics. So, for the love of this old alchemist player who would rather see Alchemy made avaliable for everyone to enjoy - as I am sure Jistuma himself would too - don't put this bloody restriction on voidal mages.
