  1. They shouldn’t be more than a stepping stone is what I am saying. Heralds should be the little bit before someone becomes an Azdrazi where they have semi-draconic powers and are being tested for their worthiness to become an Azdrazi. If they are proven worthy, they become an Azdrazi and inversely if they fail at proving them self then the smaller blessing of being a herald is stripped away.
  2. Heralds should be a stepping stone into Azdrazi and not their own thing. That’s over stuffing a niche by having actual dragon people and then dragon priests when the dragon people SHOULD BE those actual dragon priests. This rewrite does fix some issues likely present in the current write, but it also gives them way too much independence when a Herald should exclusively be the student to an Azdrazi or an associate trying to become an Azdrazi.

  10. Solace – A particular Seer – Woke amidst the night inside the of walls of Haelun’or. He let out a strange and deep gasp as his sight was clouded from the truth and instead replaced by the horrors and strange happenings of the foreign lands and only strangely familiar creature. Soon did the vision end and with it sweat fell from his forehead before he’d stand and rather immediately begin off on a walk. Although his attempts were likely futile, he’d try to simply walk off whatever horrible and strange vision he had been rudely awoken to. “Strangeness lurks at every corner of this realm.” He’d murmur as he continued on his nightly walk.
  11. Chi Streams & Springs -x- An example of a place where a Chi stream would cross into a Chi Spring -x- Once a time ago was one given just a slight nudge into the path of Chi and from it was birthed the art in its entirety. Although unknown to the first amongst his kind was that where he found this hidden art was also the location of a Chi Spring or rather a location in which multiple paths of energy collided and gathered into a large swirling pool of Chi. For a long time did this energy go unknown to the monks as they lacked a true ability to sense such great energy; however overtime new techniques and abilities were created and thus did the sensation of these areas begin. Since the birth of life unto this plane has living chi existed and it was through the constant release of this nature that living chi came to gather in places much like nature did. Together they supported each other and overtime it caused abnormal groves of nature to grow. Flora and Fauna naturally released their energies and with it did those energies nurture life and nature; the process itself was a delicate cycle capable of collapse even from minor events which perhaps seemed little and insignificant. Only did it falter from minor issues when that single thing was a pivotal point of the spring and by ridding the spring of it did the spring falter. When a spring falters nature goes unchecked as natural chi energies try to compensate for the loss; however in doing so they end up causing more harm than good and the grand expanse causes nature to kill itself due to overpopulation of life. It is for this reason that finding an exceptionally powerful chi spring is a rare occurrence but finding a less concentrated one is commonplace. Regardless of size, these places tend to hold a tremendous amount of power and with such comes strange happenings to nature and the previously mundane world. Although nature exists most everywhere, that is not to say that a chi spring shall amass in all places in the world. To some degree, however, there are some ways that natural energies tend to conglomerate into somewhat of a mass and these are known as Chi Streams. A stream simply appears as an often curving line throughout the space right above and around patches of nature. Naturally any place that creates an expansive amount of natural energies will draw in the delicate threads of these streams which in turn makes them twist, turn, and contort until they meet with another stream and form a spring at a dense place of natural life. Within the great expanses of a Chi spring things often occur that might not in typical nature. Due to the mass amount of energies that gather in these areas they often affect the fauna by making them larger, stronger, faster, and all around greater than a normal animal would be. These animals still stay true to their own paths and generally only deviate when an abnormal factor is put into them. Alongside the enlarged animals, these springs also offer a greater benefit to any who can manipulate chi and natural energies by allowing them a longer time to withdraw energy, but only during times of peace and training. The last curious effect is that anyone trained to sense these natural energies and springs will often be drawn to these areas and may follow the Chi Streams that lead to them. Effectively this means that anyone bound to Chi can easily follow these paths to dense areas of life. Lastly is the worldly size, which may only occur in cases of very wealthy and large springs, is no larger than a small estate (approx. 40x40, bedrock to sky). Most chi springs are small and secluded pieces of nature that cannot be feasibly captured in any one area by walls, buildings, or otherwise unnatural dwellings. This means that one may not block nor safeguard a spring with physical barriers or blockades. If they were to try they would find that the spring weakens and soon collapses leaving nothing but a normal and mundane patch of nature. TLDR Natural energies constantly leak off anything that contains living chi, this energy amasses into chi streams and floats throughout the air without notice. Only Chi users may sense this natural energy as they are all inherently connected to it. For monks they can use Chi sense to find these dense lines which eventually lead to a chi spring. A chi spring is anywhere with extremely dense nature of any kind, lots of fauna, and generally very secluded. The more secluded any place of nature is the stronger the spring will grow but in turn the spring will become exceptionally delicate as it gets stronger and stronger. For the previously mentioned monks they will find that their abilities, as long as it is peaceful and not with aggression towards another, is much more capable and may exist for longer. For monks this allows them to train with 2 more chi slots. While this allows them to have greater access to their ability, overuse of this can lead to collapse of the spring and therefore anyone who uses the max shall be warned by nature itself and should they continue they will bring downfall to the area.
  12. A rather tall adunian man meandered the roads, randomly picking up one of these requests and laughing. Regardless, he’d write a bird and send it forth.
  13. Jaded LT Member -Writes forum posts using magic that no one else cares about or even follows -Writes forums posts about their character doing literally anything except actually rping on the server -Will write lore, self deny it, and then complain that no one else can write it as good -Complains about every piece of lore to ever get accepted and calls it trash even though they voted to pass it -Complains about lore, gets told to write it to show what standards they have, then refuses to write it. Burnt out Mod -Rather resorts to very sparse actiivty where they do little except for be casually toxic and complain or they unban dewper, fiatlux, and then delete the entirety of the LOTC discord -Do only the bare minimum to scrape by but constantly hope they get manager -Toxic regardless of situation, makes jokes that are exceedingly toxic but make sense to only them, and hates the playerbase -A toss up between a good person who just is tired and a person who is genuinely struggling to stay happy due to mineman.
  14. good morning lagoons

  15. So all heralds and Azdrazi basically get the knowledge, skills, memories, etc of every dragon to have ever lived? Dragonfire has physical force, magical degradation ability, can burn anything immaterial like ghosts, wights, mystics, etc, and ALSO burns like normal fire? This seems absolutely busted IMO, its a one in all type ability. So Azdrazi and Heralds can pull from a nearly limitless magical source to get power and knowledge?
  16. Have a good life mi amigo. Sorry that mods couldn’t help the issues occurring and that people are out of their minds. : )

  18. Jiangu Vincrute of the monks patiently waited as he planned. His smaller order did as they could in preparation.

    The Summons

Jiangu Vincrute sat on the crisp borders of Sutica conversing lightly as the entire world was consumed. He knew for certain that something was far off about this and immediately, without giving farewell or peace, left his area and headed towards the massive roaring sound that echoed through the flat world of Arcas. He’d begin at a walk, and then a jog, and into a run. “This cannot be of good. Not just for the land but for The Cycle itself.” He’d dictate as he moved hastily.
  20. A deep frown swelled across the face of the monk for the first time in what seemed like years. The world was upside down, demons spawned and attacked, and even drove life itself away. They were strong, surely, but the will of man was stronger. The Cycle as Jiangu referred to it was at its tipping point, barely holding on to its equilibrium. “You’ve of taken my friend, his will, his life, and his body. For this you shall pay deeply betrayers of the world.” He’d continue to frown as he then immediately began writing to his own order of monks, preparing for war in any way he possibly could.
  21. Aegrothond is always active and there are many groups in that area. There are the Siramenor culture of wood elves, the druid circle behind that, and the monk order which i run behind that also. Any of these are fairly open should you wish to try and my contact is Zacho#5276.
