  1. Niv cleared away the plates and cups of a recent dinner at her home, and moved the table and chairs back into place. Releasing a sigh, she remembered sitting at a table in the Talus Grove's tavern, pouring tea for Awaiti and Marie. Her eyes gleamed and the corner of her mouth tugged into a small smile, before stepping down into the kitchen to put a kettle over the fire, and prepared two mugs. Just in case.
  2. Dark brows knit together, as the Umgorumm clan mother reads over the letter. Her nostrils flare widely as she huffs, "Smells like heresy.." she remarks with narrowed amber eyes. Placing the letter aside with the first from the same author, she looks into the fire thoughtfully.
  3. Boo, let me use it with Housemagery. Let me turn mountains into ice cream and mangroves into gumbo!
  4. I was never on the ST honey. Like your lore was fine when you wrote it, but clearly issues have risen with the CA and its playerbase which need addressing. This doesn't address any of those issues, it's not good enough and I'm sorry you feel otherwise.
  5. Looks like the same lore y'all had for the past four years, I don't see any specifics on how weaknesses should be roleplayed, and polymorph still gives an Azdrazi unlimited disguises. There doesn't seem to be any addressing of the obviously broken facets Azdrazi have had since Jake's rewrite.
  6. Lulubelle doesn't even see the missive, as she works dutifully in the forge. With hammer and anvil, she shapes the heart of stars and the iron of the earth into works of great beauty, weapons of battle and tools for the everyday work of her kinsfolk. An honest and hard-working craft practised for millennia by her ancestors, and a damn sight more important than the crumbling scripture and dead God of Umros.
  7. IGN: Nivndil RP NAME: Lulubelle Starbreaker AGE: 132 ACTIVITY REQUIREMENT: All of the above CANDIDATE: Levian'Tol Grandaxe
  8. I got you b 1. This doesn't use the correct format for a lore submission, so that should ideally be addressed. 2. Blackpowder must be created by an alchemist. How does this lore propose to work in conjunction with that bottleneck, considering alchemists can only make 3 things a day, even at their highest tier? 3. Although the 'consent clause' is considerate of other players on paper, I find two major issues with it. One, it leads to a big de-synchronisation of technology across the server, where you will have groups who have access to firearms and those who do not; which I theorise will lead to just jarring situations. Two, I suspect there will be a degree of minor, albeit present, bullying of players who refuse to indulge the gunpowder fantasies of this vocal minority who support firearms.
  9. My favourite part of these threads, are when all the proponents of guns make the false comparison to "elven magic" and then try to claim anyone who disagrees just doesn't like Oren.
  10. The man, the myth, the legend.
  11. Cute 💜
  12. Within a tropical paradise, with many chirping birds of bright colours, waves lapping against the rocks below in a rush of surf, there was a garden. Dotted with trees and headstones to past Drui, there sat one of the living among the remembered dead. In a ring of mushrooms, cross-legged and straight-backed Nivndil's head was inclined and her eyes glowing brightly. Her body was eerily still, mind lost in meditation. She remembered meeting Ugrad for the first time, and her apprehension given the long history of violence between Wood Elves and Orcs. Yet she also remembered those moments when the Rex had spoken of his life-mate, and the gentleness he'd displayed. Although the Drui rarely smiled, she had come close then. Nivndil would remember Ugrad as the best of Orc-kin, brave and ferocious in the face of his enemies, but loyal and committed to his allies and friends.
  13. A Starbreaker twirls a warhammer in her right hand, raising an Ironwood shield with the left. In the depths of the mountain Kingdom of Urguan, her steel platemail gleams in the golden light of flickering braziers and lanterns. "COME AN' FOCKIN' GET 'EM YEAH PURE MUTAN'S!" she roars into the deep and the dark.
  14. "Like ah'd slay uh dragon an' hand o'er i's bones an' all tha' fer uh few hundy minas," scoffs a Dwarf.
  15. How long is a moderate duration? Otherwise looks neat, hopefully it encourages more conflict.
  16. 1. Orcs are time and again just used as a convenient avenue for pvp raiding, speaking as a player who came to the server in 2015, left and then came back in early 2018. It is tedious to say the least. 2. Players talk about Orcish culture being very interesting, but it seems to be routinely bulldozed whenever the pvp raiding enthusiasm returns to the forefront of the community and becomes its focus, over the culture. 3. Last map there was a new Orc player. He walked the roads between Sutica and Urguan as I recall, and would stop passers-by and challenge them to duels. Crucially he would allow children and unarmed persons to pass, as it would not result in honourable combat. My only encounter with him, was in the aftermath of Mina's ex-Rex bombing the Urguan throne room. During talks of reparations, in which the Rex's arm was demanded in payment for the arm the bombing had removed from King Utak, this new guy stepped forward and offered his arm so that his Rex would not have to. This was a player who was committed to good roleplay and roleplaying the honour of an Orc, which is routinely ignored or conveniently 'flexible' should the player wish to generally act belligerently. This player hasn't stuck around to my knowledge, and I can only speculate why, but his character was capable of changing a lot of people's thoughts (iRP and OOCly) about Orcs, and it's a pity his example has largely gone unheeded. Stop harassing Quav too, my God. Tell Jandy to grow up.
  17. Man, skins have come a long way since then too huh?
  18. Do Sikil Chalk and Aeternum Oil require ST signing? It is not explicitly mentioned either way. Otherwise, this is a very interesting and tasty submission. Thank you for not cramming the mechanics into the flavour text, it makes it substantially easier for dumb-dumbs like me to read. Housemagery tattoo is cute.
