  1. "Well, I am no elf, but the truth is that Usamea An'asul has got a point. If I were an elf I would seriously consider the possibility of forming an Elven Union." muttered the Imperial scholar Marc Galbraith upon reading the missive.
  2. "Harken All Ye Sons of Liberty! This we proclaim for the furtherance of our Commonwealth!" cheered Marc Galbraith in a clear reference to the words pronounced by the Josephites of the times of yore as he included his name in the declaration.
  3. "And so Humanity will be United in Virtue once again in the Highlands and the Heartlands, and in the farthest homes of the sons of Horen, as prophesized in the Holy Scrolls of the Canon." said Marc Galbraith upon reading the missive.
  4. The liberal scholar Marc Galbraith was studying in the royal library of Portoregne when he found a note hidden in an old book historically attributed to Sir Frederick Armas which seemed to have been written during the times of the Eight Empire, which said: "Young Edward, you need to realize that, historically, the dwarves and the other lesser races are the ones who have always opposed human unity. At the end of the day, they seek to see the sons of Horen divided and weak, for they know that the weaker the humans get the stronger they will become."
  5. The liberal scholar Marc Galbraith delivered the following remarks upon reading the missive issued by the Imperial Society of Exalted Horen: "To me and many others, it is undeniable that the scattering of humanity that followed the dissolution of the Eight Empire has divided the sons of Horen and caused their petty tribal rivalries to appear, causing unnecessary bloodshed since the formation of the Harvest Confederacy. From all the projects that my colleague Tiber of New Paradisus has described, in order to achieve a more perfect union among the realms of men, I personally can only see viable two of them: 1) A Federation or Union (a Federal State), which may be called the "United States of Orenia" or alternatively the "Imperial Union" or simply the "Union", or any other preferred name without necessarily having to contain the terms "Oren" or "Orenian" in the same, led by a republican elected head of state who may rule over humanity as the guardian of the vacant Throne of Man, bearing the title of "President" or "Lord Protector of the Holy Orenian Empire" (or another rank of equivalent importance) and "Acting Defender of the Faith", with a Federal Congress holding the ultimate authority of the Federation or Union. The President of the Imperial Union (or whatever other name the Federation or Union ends up being called) should be regularly elected by popular vote in free and fair presidential elections, and should be able to appoint the members of his Cabinet, who would serve as the officials of the Federal government, in accordance with the federal Constitution and the federal laws of the land. 2) The Holy Orenian Empire, the Ninth Empire, with an Emperor chosen by all the Canonist princes and the blessing of the High Pontiff to rule over humanity as the Holy Orenian Emperor and Defender of the Faith, and a new Imperial Capital and Crownlands with a central military and government, with an elected Imperial Diet, Senate or Congress holding the ultimate authority of the Empire. In both of these options, the Imperial, federal or central government must abide by the decisions adopted by the elected members of the Imperial or Federal Diet, Senate or Congress, and sanctioned with the assent granted by the President, Lord Protector or Holy Orenian Emperor. In any of these options, a Federal or Imperial Constitution should be enacted by a Continental Congress formed of elected representatives from all the human States (nations), in which it would be established that each State would be able to keep their own state laws and state institutions, while coexisting with imperial or federal laws and institutions. At the same time, the Constitution should establish the RIGHTS OF MAN of the Nenzing Proclamation as constitutional rights of the Union or Empire. The Constitution should establish what policies or matters can solely be decided by the Union, Federation, or Empire, and what others can solely be decided by the States. The laws of the Empire or the Union must solely be decided by the representatives of the people that comprise it, as officials elected in free and regular elections held in their provincial or state circumscriptions, and, may the President, Lord Protector or Holy Orenian Emperor grant their imperial or federal assent to an Act of the Diet or the Congress, the Imperial or Federal government should be obliged to enforce it. In addition, the new Federation, Union or Holy Orenian Empire, must abide by the dogmas and principles of the Holy Mother Church, for the Holy Orenian Emperor is the temporal complement of the High Pontiff, with the Emperor ruling supreme over the mortal plane and the Pontiff ruling supreme over the spiritual plane. And last, but not the least, I would like to highlight the fact that, in my humble opinion, the restoration of the Holy Orenian Empire must be the Holy Mother Church's goal, for the Holy Scrolls of the Canon contain several verses about the importance of human unity that I wish to remember: Thus mankind was united in virtue, in the highlands and the heartlands, and in the farthest homes of the sons of Horen. And Godfrey pronounced the word of God into the hearts of men, proclaiming unto them “We are born from the ashes of the old kingdom of Oren. We are the heirs to Horen and have continued him by this empire.” And Godfrey set aside the Throne of Man for a holy purpose, consecrating it to GOD. Thus it was sworn that no Son of Malin, of Urguan, of Krug, or any magi shall hold it. - Gospel 6:33-36 Furthermore, we find many other references about this topic in the Canon and, specifically, in the Book of Sealing, when the Exalted Godfrey, in a direct dialogue with GOD, prophesied the arrival of Exalted Sigismund, who later on would form the Second Empire: You will know him, for with peace he gathers the sons of Horen, where the sword has divided them. - Gospel 7:53 Sincerely, Marc Galbraith Imperial Historian"
  6. As a wise Canonist Cardinal said once: "Love me like Evaristus loved his Clement."

  7. I think homophobic roleplay should be strictly forbidden when it constitutes harassment or discrimination towards an LGTBQ+ character. For example, it should be allowed for someone to criticize in roleplay homosexuality or call it a sin (especially if the character that says that is a priest who adheres to the dogmas of the Canonist Church or another religion in the roleplay) but attacking, harming, torturing or killing a character in the roleplay for the mere sexual orientation or gender of that character would be a discrimination that should be strictly forbidden in the server rules, because otherwise this would encourage the creation of a homophobic culture that would inevitably lead to traumatic episodes of harassment and discrimination against players who roleplay as LGTBQ+ characters. At the end of the day, it is the duty of the Staff to ensure that none feels harassed or discriminated in the server, and the server should be a safe place for everyone.
  8. "His Holiness has made a wise decision: the Canon Law should not be decided by secular rulers but by ordained clergymen. That said, it is also important to highlight that, may the human realms will so, the Holy Mother Church would not have the authority to interfere in the secular legalization of same-sex unions through the enactment of secular legislation on civil unions, as already occurred during the Eight Empire." pointed out the Balianese liberal scholar Marc Galbraith.
  9. "An excellent system to elect the head of the executive branch. I will save this idea to use it in Oren, may it ever rises again in the future." said the scholar Marc Galbraith upon reading the royal proclamation of the Commonwealth of the Petra.
  10. "Maybe His Holiness should consider calling an Ecumenical Council to establish doctrine to clarify this matter." said the scholar Marc Galbraith
  11. "The Holy Scrolls are clear: same-sex marriage is not forbidden under Canon Law. Therefore, in my humble opinion, the human realms should be able to freely legislate on this matter." remarked the scholar Marc Galbraith upon reading the missive.
  12. I haven't had the opportunity to play alongside you but I am glad to see that you had fun on the server. Remember that you will always be welcome in this community :)
  13. "At long last, there is peace amongst men once again. May the Pax Orenia endure." said the balianese historian Marc Galbraith upon hearing of the peace treaty. "So, as Horen and Owyn, Godfrey was the savior of men, who brought holiness into their kingdoms and peace to their homes." (Gospel 6:63)
  14. God created not one Man but many, to live upon the Creation of His Image.

  16. The old historian Marc Galbraith would nod in approval to the proclamation made by the Baron "New blood, new energy." he said, wishing the heir good luck in his future noble task of leading the Noble House of Galbraith. "Ad Maiorem Imperium Gloriam" he added in Flexio, referring to the ancient motto of the family.

  18. Marc Galbraith would say the following after reading the letter of the Bishop of Geligar: "An excellent letter, and I would also like to make the following remarks: The High Pontiff does have the the duty to bring the Canonists Princes together and the duty to encourage the political unity of humanity. In other words, he has the duty to find a suitable candidate to restore the Imperial Oren by coronating an Emperor that brings law, order and prosperity to all the sons of Horen."
  19. The Balianese historian Marc Galbraith made the following remarks upon hearing the news: "It is certainly disappointing to see the Paladins of Xan act in such a reckless way but it is definitely not surprising. In the past, I initially assumed that the intentions of these paladins were pure, but later on I found out a record in the royal library of Portoregne that indicated that a century ago these very same paladins attempted to assassinate His Imperial Majesty Joseph II, Holy Orenian Emperor and Defender of the Faith in the Imperial City of Providence. Such an attack into humanity's holiest city and against a leader of mankind is, in my humble opinion, a historic evidence of the vile intentions of these paladins."
  20. Marc Galbraith would be wandering around the royal library of Portoregne, in the Kingdom of Balian, when a courier appeared before him to inform him of the most recent news of the realm. After paying the courier his salary, he would unroll the parchment that contained the missive issued by the Covenant and would read it carefully. Later on, he would start penning a letter addressed to the Duke of Adria, Markus of the House Sarkozic (@Nooblius): "To His Grace the Duke of Adria, I hope this letter finds you well, I would like to humbly give you my opinion or advice on the current international situation in case it would be of any assistance to you. However, first of all, let me be clear; I am a mere historian, I hold no titles and command no armies. That said, I would like to make the following assertions regarding the current war your nation is facing: I am pleased to see that the Duke of Adria condemns the heinous crimes perpetrated by the Veletzian regime. However, the question remains unanswered: how does the Covenant know for certain that this time the Duke's intentions are pure? Certainly, Adria's reconciliation with the Holy Mother Church is an important step forward, but I think that if the Duke wishes for secular peace he should appear before the Covenant and accept their judgement. I genuinely believe that such resolution is the only way to end this bloodshed. Lastly, in order to facilitate the dialogue and the negotiation of peace terms, I would recommend the Duke to seek the mediation of His Holiness the High Pontiff. As for the reason of this letter, all I can say is that I wish to live in a world where all the sons of Horen are united in peace and prosperity, regardless of their origin. I feel inspired by the example of our Prophet, the Exalted Godfrey of the House Horen, founder of the first Holy Empire of Oren. My motivation resides solely in the example set forth by our Exalted Prophets and in my devotion to our Almighty God, and while I find legitimate for a canonist to seek justice I prefer peace over war when such blood is avoidable. May God help you in your noble task of purifying the Midlands. Sincerely, Marc Galbraith Imperial Historian"
  21. "Does this paragraph include the Ferrymen? Because they are indeed evildoers." asked Marc Galbraith upon reading the missive.
  22. "God save the Holy Orenian Empire. One God, One Empire and One Emperor. Oren Aut Mortem." stated Marc Galbraith upon reading the dissertation, a Balianese historian who up to this date is still waiting for a Horen-blood descendant to claim the Imperial Throne with the blessing of the High Pontiff, unify the Realms of Men and lead Humanity into a new golden age of Orenian prosperity. Marc then grabbed ink and a quill and decided to write a response to the author of the dissertation ( @yopplwasupxxx): "Your Excellency, I hope this message finds you well. I have read your dissertation regarding Orenism and I fully agree with your statements and your views regarding our common human history. I do think, though, that if any new Orenian state was to be formed, that country should be able to integrate the different views of its provinces with regard to the nation's governance into its institutions of government. In the Eight Empire that integration was mainly done through the Imperial Diet and, more specifically, the Imperial Senate, an institution which played a fundamental role in granting every province the right to democratically elect their own senators to represent them in such institution. However, the secession of the Kingdom of Haense led to such provincial representation being ultimately removed and replaced with plain national elections. In summary, I think it is fundamental that the central government respects the provinces and minorities that comprise such country, i.e., the different kingdoms, lands and regions of the Orenian state. And, in order to achieve that goal, I suggest granting these entities and groups representation and encouraging their participation in the central institutions of the country, ideally through democratic means such as senatorial elections. Sincerely, Marc Galbraith"
  23. "I know that this is not really related to the content of this missive but if none will say it I will: Glory to the Holy Orenian Empire! Oren Aut Mortem." said the imperial historian Marc Galbraith upon reading the missive. "And, of course, glory to the Queen of Balian: Visca la Reina! In Hoc Signo Vinces! Fe, Estat i Prosperitat." he added in conclusion.
