  1. "Unity above all! For the Heartlands!" cheered the Golden Dragoon of Marna Alexander Darkwood, as he nodded in agreement with the missive issued by the Protector of Marna.
  2. The Golden Dragoon of Marna Alexander Darkwood nodded upon hearing of the missive issued by the Protector of Marna, Ser Tiber of the Nauzica. "Mission complete. For the Heartlands!" he cheered, awaiting to receive further instructions from his superiors of the Brigade of Marna.
  3. The Dictates are Incomplete.

  4. The Marnantine Dragoon Alexander Darkwood wondered what the Protector of Marna would think about this matter, as he awaited further orders from his superiors.
  5. Afflicted by the recent news, Marc Galbraith would grab an ancient imperial sword that was granted to the Viscount of Rivia during the Eight Empire and he had kept hidden in his house for a generation and state the following: "On this day, I commit to avenge the death of His Majesty the King Ivan VIII and send the anti-imperials of the Ferrymen back to the Void with Iblees, where they belong." After making a pause, he would then add the following: "I also pray that our most esteemed allies from the different realms of our Canondom realize the importance of human unity and the need for an imperial union to flourish in order to defend humanity against the menace of the anti-imperial band of the Ferrymen and the Darkspawn that threaten our existence. I genuinely believe that only in that way we will be able to successfully protect our realms against the evil that threatens our sovereignty. In the end, we are stronger together, united, than divided."
  6. Despite the fact that he and the King Ivan VIII had different political visions, the truth is that Marc Galbraith held him in high regard. He considered Ivan to be a solid statesman and a brave warrior. Marc prayed for the fallen King and Queen, and wished success to the new monarch of Haense, King Marius III.

  8. Horen was Mercatori.

  9. Marc Galbraith looked at the transcription from Bishop Belisarios of the Royal Balianese Academy with pride and said: "His Majesty the King Alexander II of Balian embodies the indomitable Balianese spirit of our founder King John of Balian. He is the living image of the Kingdom of Balian and the Prince of the Holy Orenian Empire. God save the King!".
  10. I only have two negative comments to make regarding the Ferrymen: - Some NLs and players have the perception of the Ferrymen being an OOC Group rather than a RP Group. - Some NLs and players don't want to roleplay anything related to a united humanity because they fear the Ferrymen's reaction. I genuinely believe that the lack of a united humanity is part of the reason that the quality of human roleplay is currently in decadence and stagnancy.
  11. who could have ever predicted that splitting in 20 different human nations was not a good idea for the quality of the roleplay...

That's more than a bit of a stretch.

Your enthusiasm for the Orenian Empire isn't the grave sin some make it out to be, but attributing bad roleplay solely to the destruction of a specific IRP realm (Oren) and its style of government or what not is very exaggerated, imo.

You can be an Empire enthusiast without being so extremist about it on an OOC level, i mean bad RP has existed throughout the server's history, regardless of which or how many realms were in power.

One could argue that much toxicity came from a single clique having control over hundreds of players.

  13. The warrior Alexander Darkwood, a certain heartlander who had already lost any interest in human politics, nodded as he casually read the new missive issued by the hero Tiber of New Paradisus regarding the formation of the Golden Dragoons "I am also of the opinion that the House of Alstion and Temesch must rule supreme over the Heartlands and that their hegemony in the continent must be ensured. Their Majesties should follow the steps of their ancestors and remember the teachings of our Exalted Prophets. The rise of the House of Horen through a new human reunification would be the adequate pathway to achieve peace and prosperity in mankind."
  14. Humanity is Divided.

  15. HUMANITY IS DIVIDED ”So the Kingdom of Oren, the patrimony of Horen’s people, was shattered across the world. Unvirtuous men ruled small tribes and petty kingdoms, and the people were fearful.” (Gospel 6:4-5) WHEREAS it has transpired that the Throne of Man was consecrated by Exalted Godfrey to unite mankind, and over centuries it has passed between several lords, among them various dispositions, some mean and some excellent; WHEREAS it is revealed in Scripture that an emperor shall gather the children of Horen with peace rather than the sword; WHEREAS the people of humanity are many kinds begat from one, observing their own customs and ancient liberties; WHEREAS it has in previous years wrought disharmony if these nations should be divided against each other, or if one should seek primacy above the others; AND WHEREAS the Canonist Princes have recently expressed their desire to remain divided and have shown their displeasure with the formation of the Imperial Society of the Exalted Horen; THEREFORE, in order to respect the will of our princes, we have agreed to the following, effective immediately: - The Imperial Society of the Exalted Horen is hereby officially dissolved. God save the Emperor. Signed, Marc Galbraith, last Headmaster of the Imperial Society of the Exalted Horen. WE SHALL EAGERLY AWAIT THE ARRIVAL OF OUR RIGHTFUL EMPEROR.
  16. So the Kingdom of Oren, the patrimony of Horen’s people, was shattered across the world. Unvirtuous men ruled small tribes and petty kingdoms, and the people were fearful.

  17. The Imperial Orenian scholar Marc Galbraith frowned upon reading the petition to the Royal Duma sent by the Duchess of Baranya "The Holy Scrolls speak fondly on the love between Exalted Horen and Saint Julia. To deny public displays of affection is to deny the love that allows a marriage to be formed in the first place." he made a pause. "If this petition is all that the Haeseni have to propose for the betterment of their realm I think I no longer seek to be a human. I am ashamed to see how low our race has fallen. We have clearly failed to honor the legacy of our Exalted Prophets, as we have forgotten their teachings and our common history and values." he concluded.
  18. One day House Horen will rise again.

  19. The heartlander Alexander Darkwood was having a cup of tea in the Royal City of Whitespire when he heard of the most recent proclamation issued by the King of Haense. Upon reading it, he would center his gaze towards a certain sentence of the text: "How can be unnatural to seek the union, the peace and the harmony between all the sons of Horen? How can be unnatural to seek to maintain peace and unity in our Canondom?" Alexander Darkwood frowned. "We are all humans, sons of Horen. As such, we are all natural brothers and comrades in arms, and that is why we should all work together, as friends and natural allies." he concluded.
  20. Alexander Darkwood offered a prayer to King John of Aaun, recognizing his efforts in uniting the Heartlands "I disagreed with him sometimes but it is undeniable that he always did what he thought it was best for our Kingdom and I respected him in that sense. May he rest in peace in the Seven Skies.". He then approached the until then Lord of Alba Charles Alstion @Olox_ and said: "The King is dead, long live the King.". He then knelt before the new King of Aaun and swore him fealty as his liege. "Tandem Triumphans!".
  21. The diplomat Sergius Merentel shed a tear upon being fired by Kristoff "I guess I will have to look for another job."
  22. Marc Galbraith shrugged at the news, clearly saddened to hear about the passing of the Queen "Her Majesty Sybille I was the Queen of Balian and did her best for the Balianese people and our Kingdom. May she rest in peace in the Seven Skies. The Queen is dead, long live the King!"
  23. "Excuse me, who?" frowned the heartlander Alexander Darkwood upon reading the proclamation, unfamiliar with the name of the reigning monarch of the Petra due to the fact that none had seen her around in several years since the announcement of the union between the two kingdoms of the Heartlands. "Maybe His Majesty the King will know who this so-called Catherine I is." he concluded.
