Where’s Mick? On the 19th of September we heard that my friend was very suddenly banned. This came as a surprise because Mickaelhz was on vacation in Portugal at the time, and had been for two weeks. This means that it likely wasn’t anything he did in game, but what was it then? Well Mick didn’t have access to his computer and not a single member of administration reached out to him to let him know he was banned or why, so I had to wait until he returned from his trip to find out. When he returned he sent me a screenshot of his ban message. This doesn’t really give us any more information about what he did, so he went to the figurehead of this new rule, Squakhawk. He asked what he did wrong about 20 days ago, but hasn’t heard back from them yet. Naturally, we did some digging to find out why he really was banned. We quickly found out it had something to do with a private conversation he had with his friend Diphz, who leaked Mick’s messages to try to convince people to take up arms against Mickaelhz on the server. Both of them were banned, and Diphz was unbanned after he spoke to the administration. Mick was not given the benefit of the doubt, which is interesting since you’d think they’d think twice about someone who many people depend on. The dwarf players in Urguan especially suffer from this, Mick currently is their marshal and one of the few older players still around to teach younger players. These two have an extremely long and interesting relationship, where they are extremely close friends but often play in opposing factions on server. These two would never try to get eachother banned. Even now, Mick is banned because Diphz leaked messages of him, yet he very adamantly refuses to believe it was done maliciously to get him banned. If that isn’t loyalty and trust in a friend, I don’t know what is. This only leaves one option; someone got their hands on the messages between Diphz and Mick and saw an opportunity to get their opposition banned to benefit their shady minecraft politics. Is that not metaplay in itself? They interpreted the messages between two close friends who are able to communicate very bluntly with each other and spun a narrative decrepit enough to get Mick banned without warning. To our knowledge, the Balian community had some form of hand in this malicious ban report. They have much to gain from getting my friend banned and are not strangers to fighting wars in ban reports and discord dms. Additionally, he is forum restricted so he wasn’t even given a way to defend himself. Only one admin was willing to have a simple conversation with Mick, Hogobojo. At this point Mick was already banned for 10 days. Hogo allowed Mick to shed some light on the messages and explain what really happened, and it quickly became clear whatever evidence was brought up to staff had been spoonfed in such a way that it made everything seem way worse than it actually is. The goal was to get rid of Mick, and that intention should be kept in mind. Hogobojo in any case, said he’d review the situation with the rest of the admin team to see if anything could be done. He has my respect for that. To me it seems like everyone has this warped idea of Mick. He might mostly play villain characters, but that doesn’t make him an actual villain in real life. He has helped so many people on the server during times of conflict that everyone has been on his side at one point or the other. Ask any nation leader who has closely worked with Mickaelhz about the time they fought together and they’ll all have pleasant and fun stories to tell. This of course has a flipside, people who openly hate Mick and always find themselves on the opposite side quickly come to believe the only way to deal with him is to prevent him from logging in. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Anyways, we all know Mick. Out of anyone who claims to be a politics roleplayer you won’t find someone who will advocate for conflict to be on server rather than on discord more passionately than Mickaelhz. It doesn’t make much sense to use him to send a message about metaplaying, since his style of handling conflict is very similar to what you want to achieve with this new rule. If anything he’d probably benefit the most from this change in conflict. He will show up to all the rp meetings, he’ll take people to the city of your enemies and cause roleplay issues, he’ll ambush important people in rp, he’ll actually go from city to city on the server to try and gather allies. If you need a martyr for this new rule, you’ll find them in the palaces of the places who advocated for Mick’s ban. Just unban him and say it was an oversight, it isn’t right and it doesn’t have to be a big bureaucratic issue. It’s already a bigger problem than it has to be. Without warning you banned one of the most well-liked people on the server, who many people depend on. There’s a reason he’s so loved, people really like working with him! And even if you aren’t working with him, I’d much rather have to worry about Mickaelhz killing me on minecraft than any of the past faces of conflict DDoSing, doxxing, ordering pizzas and cabs to my house and calling my family members in the middle of the night. Mick doesn’t do that. … so why are we trying to get rid of him instead of working with him?

Constantine Mareno rubbed his hands in anticipation, yet a look of horror derailed his excitement as he checked his coin pouch. He muttered to himself: "I shouldn't have spent all my money on that damn grub-bucket place."
-
Constantine Mareno stood atop a hill overlooking the city of Hokhmat; The kernel of heresy, the heart of evil, and the provenance of all things unholy. As the sun began its descent; casting a long eerie shadow across the landscape, Constantine raised his sword to the heavens and offered a prayer: ,____________________________________, "O Lord, our protector and guide, we beseech thee in this hour of peril. We stand before a city steeped in darkness; a place where thy name is blasphemed and thy creation corrupted. We come not as conquerors, but as liberators; seeking to cleanse this land of the foul taint that has infected it." ,____________________________________, "Grant us, we pray, the strength and courage to face the evil that lurks within these walls. Equip us with thy divine armor: that we may stand unyielding against the forces of darkness. Shield us from the temptations of the enemy, and lead us to victory." ,____________________________________, "May our swords be instruments of righteousness, and our hearts filled with thy holy spirit. Let us be beacons of hope in this land of despair, and may our sacrifice be a testament to thine eternal glory." "Amen." ,____________________________________,

Constantine Mareno knelt before an altar; his knees bent upon the cold stone floor of the Lemonhill monastery. His eyes, filled with a mixture of reverence and trepidation, were fixed upon the stained glass window. The soft glow of the candles cast dancing shadows on the stone walls, creating an atmosphere of contemplation. He offered a prayer: “O Lord, our shield and buckler, guard us from the wiles of the heretic, the dark magus, and the spawn of Iblees." "In Thee, our hope, we place our trust. In Thee, our fortress, we find refuge. In Thee, our avenging sword, we find justice." "Lead us, O Lord, against the legions of our foes, granting us thy spirit of courage and strength. May we smite the enemy in every battle, until the final day dawneth.” "Amen." Constantine rose from his knees, his spirit renewed by the divine. The chill of the monastery floor was forgotten as a resolute fire ignited within him. His will, forged in the crucible of prayer, was now as unyielding as steel. A single thought echoed in his mind: Hohkmat will be cleansed.

Constantine Mareno readied himself as he grasped his cross pendant tight, he prayed for all the souls of the fallen, and for those that are soon to fall. "It is time to cleanse these lands; to rid them of these heretics, and damned devil worshipers." He cried, knowing there will be no salvation for those corrupted by the deceiver, yet he still prayed to the most merciful lord above.

Constantine Mareno stood guard as usual, looking over his humble home town of Grense, as he brushed his magnificent mustache.

Abzaghuth seemed awfully perplexed at the weird content found within the journal. The only words he could blurt out from beneath his black ferrum helmet are "Wub.. da.. zkah..." He desperately yelled out in cloud temple "ANYBODY KNUW A MAGHRIAH?!"

1956 Numendilian Consort for Sale [Good Condition]
Mirvam replied to ImmortalShadowZ's topic in Duchie of Adria
The masked mali'ame stood by the consort, his spear sat idle in hand as he awaited. He mumbled to himself. "Let us see if Númendil treasures their own, or if they are much like the rest of the coalition." -
This lore has been denied. You will be sent a forum PM regarding the reasons for denial within the next 24 hours.

"Persecute, punish, persist," | Warclaim for the Southern Offensive
Mirvam replied to M1919's topic in Archived Warclaims
A mali'ame pierced the missive with a dagger, a malicious grin visibly protruding from beneath his teal mask. He let out a vicious bawl, only slightly muffled by the bandana which he wore upon his visage. "BLOOD FOR BREAKWATER! BLOOD FOR BRASCA!" -
TO THE COALITION | WE'VE GOT YOUR KING. . . AGAIN
Mirvam replied to Werew0lf's topic in Human Realms & Culture
A masked mali'ame laughs at the situation at hand. He flipped a coin, and uttered with a wheeze "They ran around and hid behind their locked doors like rats, you should have seen it!"- 8 replies

[!] An illustration portraying the massacre of an aftermath, where multiple bloodied skulls of Haenseni and coalition fighters clutter the fields. A muddied and half-broken ferrymen set of plate armor sat bloodied inside a chest within the ferrymen encampment. A paper was hung, reading “spoils of war”, below it laid a multitude of broken bows, javelins, spears and scraps leftover from prolonged usage. All the while Meruasul napped beside it with an empty quiver strapped to his back. He appeared to suffer minimum injuries yet a bloodied bandage covered his hand, with visible calluses protruding through. It appears to have been a long, but fulfilling day for not only the elf, but the everyone who stood strong against the invading Haenseni and coalition troops.

The night was embroiled with a deep, sick reckoning. Creaking, rattling bones of a skeletal creature slowly wandered over to Fort Staalgrav, home to House Weiss. It would lower something at the front gate: a letter, and a bloodied, mutilated arm with two-rings upon its finger; red and green jewels. Undead crows flocked over a few churches, dropping off letters that read the following. “To the Canonist Church & House Weiss. Your worship of GOD, an evil upon the Fifthists, has left a sour taste in our mouth. In the dead of night, we captured one of your priests - to set an example for your people. We have begun torturing this priest; for now, we have only removed an arm. However, take this as a declaration of war against your kindred. If you would like to see the survival of your ‘righteous’ priest, Stanislaw, then come meet us on the battlefield. If you do not, we will brutally execute the priest and sacrifice him to achieve a higher form of being. The priest shall be fed, and kept alive, but tortured everyday - we will send a limb for each moment that is lost. It will do us no burden to rid of a heretical follower of GOD, he who which our Lord shall devour. To commemorate the priest’s virtue, he will be pinned to a crucifix. Please pin a letter outside the Haeseni Bridge in response. We shall read it as soon as possible.” Kind regards, The Red Divine, Prophet of Fifth Lord of Xion. The Son, Prophet of Fifth Lord of Xion. The Beggar, Prophet of Fifth Lord of Xion. The Red Vigil of the First Oak. OOC Notice:

Royal Edict upon Dairy Consumption and Sale
Mirvam replied to SimplySeo's topic in High Kingdom of Idunia
Meruasul read the missive and mumbled in disbelief, he was shocked at the royal edict, thus he suggested in a low mutter "We need to smuggle some in. . . otherwise the poor townfolk will turn into dwarves!" -
Meruasul held up the missive and stabbed his dagger into a wooden table, sticking the missive directly against it. He stood up and audibly scoffed at the conflict between Norland and Urguan "Many fights to come, many battles to fight in!" In anticipation, he pulled up his teal mask to cover his mask and plodded off, a great Daemonsteel axe strapped to his back.
