The Catch 22 of Dealing with Raiders
Chryasor replied to WuHanXianShi14's topic in Atlas OOC Archive
I mean, because he got banne for a year, not because he had RP manners and PK'd. And I'm p sure he'll be back after that year is finished. Just saying. This is a part the orcs are actually good at, if their leader dies they die. Then there are other parts more pvp-based groups have flaws in, I will admit. -
Malevolence: Into the Firelands II con, Xionfall
Chryasor replied to Malgonious's topic in Arcas Roleplay Archive
Rhys, having been the second one into the fortress just after Aelthir, and having helped hold until the others making up the force could catch up to them takes a moment to rest against the stone walls after the battle. He looks out at the conquered castle, chuckling as he sees the other Ivae'fenn pile up the bodies of the fallen and moving to help them "Well fought, well fought lliran. I enjoyed it immensely. Just hope this luck will continue." -
Rhys sighs heavily as the news reached him and drops his sword onto the ground as he begins thinking back to the battle "I never liked you, you put my friend Celaena in much distress due to your insistence of trying to get into an affair with her, and you seemed a fool. I really wanted to punch you after hearing the stories of how you spoke to her, but, you were still a decent man. and For fucks sake, Cela will take hard to this..." He thinks while picking up his own weapon again, looking the blade over for a second "Another brave soldier dead at the evils of this world. There can never be enough, it seems." He sighs heavily and returns into position, gesturing for the younger Ivae'fenn who brought him the news to continue their training, finally speaking up and saying a few simple words "Don't be a hero once you join us against the enemies of the realm, newbie. Heroes die first."

Rhillen sits down by his desk, looking out across the small village where he resides form the window above it. He then looks down at the papers on the tabletop, beginning to write on them one by one, each detail of the battle he observed in preparation for the next

Recent Concerns and Administrator Expectations
Chryasor replied to marimbamonk's topic in News & Announcements Archive
Hey maybe osmething good will come from this then, +1 seems like a good guy to have as the community manager, i approve -
I mean. Yeh, fair enough.
-
"I must say, I have never heard of this group before. I also don't remember our home being an empire or having vassals.... Ever. Has anyone, ever, given this guy a history book? Or told him about his race? Oh well" Rhys sighs from inside the walls of Fenn, screeching internally
-
This far to my experience Holm is more active the the Dominion, Fenn, Haelun'or, Sutica, Kaz'ulrah and a few human nations I've run through. But isn't counted as a nation. Just saying.
-
I mean there's an easy counter to ladders. Make a proper historical wall that has a slight outwards curviture on the top, the you cant climb up because theres wall in the way, and you cant place ladders on the bottom of blocks. So sure, allow ladders on nations, allow insneisble ladder placement, because its easily countered by having a outwards curve on you wall.

The Wolf Awakens: Election of the Silver Sohaerate
Chryasor replied to Mistel's topic in Atlas Roleplay Archive
Rhillen blinks, reading over a second time "Well... He's certainly something new at least. Slightly mad. Definitively needs advisors. But i support this. He would do good to change them. And likely be replaced after dying in a fight when they're on the right path and they will settle down again. More or less exactly what i recommended them to do. Show their strenght and then retreat." -
"Oh, the Aheral's five-hundredth and sixty seventh reform. I wonder what will happen this time. Oh. Nothing. Like always. They need to get some true changes and proper leadership to actually do something. This is all just what was before with very few slight changes. Sad, really." Comments Rhillen, storing the documen away with the others

No longer can you rest upon your throne
Chryasor replied to Talias's topic in Atlas Roleplay Archive
"Sad. I almost wanted to see them crushed in a war to prove to themselves that they are weak. But then, we don't want to credit the Dominion of all filthy places with any victories now do we" hums Rhys, idly dangling his legs off the walls of Fenn -
Rhillen sighs heavily as he hears of Odessa's death, dipping his head in silence for a moment "A shame. She was intelligent. Dilusional. Ignorant. Hateful. But intelligent. And she was changing for the better in the end. But perhaps it was best this way. The less of the old and archaic elves there are overall the higher the chances of younger, more modern and intellectual ones will step forward. Perhaps bring the elves into another olden age when not held back anymore. We may never see such, but hope will remain." He steps outside of his home, taking a moment before grabbing his chosen weapon, a steel rapier with silver coverings, crafted by Haelun'or's most skilled smiths, and plunges it into the ground. He stands over it, head bowed "Acaelan ahereh naean'leh."

The Empty Helm - A Self Nomination For Okarir'sil
Chryasor replied to ThatWeirdGirl's topic in Atlas Roleplay Archive
"Hm" Rhillen creases his forehead as he hears about the missive "This might be the first decent thing Haelun'or has ever done in it's history of warfare. This should garner the support of the people i hope." -
Rhillen leans back at his desk as after getting the news of the 'flowergods death, considering it for a moment "He took his time. I hope he either finally learnt and let go of his evil in death. Or will suffer for eternity for all he caused in this world. Good riddance, either way" He mutters to himself from beneath his helmet, standing and walking out ot his balcony "I met you first after your first kill. You were, what, seven? And begged me to not cut you down for it. I foolishly didn't end you then, and see what it caused. But we all die with time."

[✗] [Lore Amendment][Enaction of Yeu] Force Disconnections
Chryasor replied to firegirl7894523's topic in Denied Lore
Yes, which this isn't about, in that case your character should have been forcefully disconnected three irl months ago. This is about one of Quav's students following the tenants, but not doig as he tells him to do, and therefore quav (and it appears you) wanting a way to disconnect him, so you go to ooc mediums to break lore, as it is stated that you can't forcefully disconnect someone but rather Yeu disconnecting those who break tenants herself. the character in question that you wrote this lore for, has not broken tenants, has his magic intact, and is not in that limbo stage. May i also again mention that this is one of the lore pieces where Auric wants something done but its not in lore so he writes a piece of lore exclusively for himself or his clique to get said thing done once than made impossible again. Just something i want to note. " Nowhere in the Strictures to my knowledge does force disconnecting a student break any. And no, this isn't because of one player, this as been an issue for years , where a mass murderer (way back when Qauv originally started teaching) learned Yeuism, confessed he was a mass murderer, but then refused to disconnect. It grows tiresome when you have people run around saying 'oh yeah, I'm a mass murderer but I follow Yeu'. " It would hurt them as a forceful disconnetionc permanently damages the soul. And yes, and let's say this has been a problem for years, the timing is awfully convenient isnt it? Tell me then, who is the person saying this? Because i think it's the same person you're saying this isnt about, and the reason he is saying that, as you know full well, is not because he murders people, but because of a thanium incident back on axios that killed a bunch of people, that he blames himself for. If he actually was a mas murderer Yeu would disconnect him herself or he at least wouldn't have any magic. So tell me again why this is needed and how this isn't awfully awkwardly timed to be another one of aurics "i want something but its not in lore, lets make lore for myself"´ -
[✗] [Lore Amendment][Enaction of Yeu] Force Disconnections
Chryasor replied to firegirl7894523's topic in Denied Lore
A forced disconnection would break the strictures, yes? And, to further add onto this, this is clearly made for one specific situation, fire, where you have a T4 teacher who wants to disconnect one of his students. Not for breaking the tenants, or things like that, but for not doing as told outside of his studies, which wouldn't be a valid reason anyway. So this would, as Auric has done before, be a piece of lore that applies only to him, once. It's lore targeting a single person, made for this exclusive situation, and nothing else. Am i wrong? -
"Oh joy" Rhys grumbles as he reads the newspaper "Well, another great copy. Only wish the Annungilbens could get a few articles every now and then, damned stolt monopoly"

I personally is against this because people like shouting this against all bandit players, despite many of us being able to offer logs to the contrary. It would be extremely simple to get bandited on the road and say "they broke this rule ban them" and get a group of people banned, despite them having in general good roleplay, i know you firegirl have been with me on one or two of these banditing rounds and know what I'm talking about. A easy way to targetban people you don't like or people who make you salty. I do, as another point entirely, believe that there should be a closer eye kept on those who have broken rules before, and actually ban people for breaking rules, despite them being long-time players in big rp hubs, they broke a rule and should be banned. this goes for all, elven players, orc players, etc etc, a rule is a rule. To add more onto this, i also think that a permaban should be just that, permanent, and not a few months with an appeal and apology for them to come back to do the exact same thing again, repeat and repeat. This happens with both RP people and PvP people. they break a rule and either don't get banned since they're well known in the playerbase. or get a permaban and then get unbanned a few months later. So, instead of stalking players on all other servers (that they could still lie about easily), i think the focus should instead lie on actually enforcing, clarifying, and critically, finish, the rules of this server.

"Alright, sure, you are finally fighting, good. You are all missing the fact tht they outnumber you and, for the first time ever, the Dominion has the superior military. It saddens me to say it, but this once, and only this once, the dominion has the military advantage in a war. Good luck" Rhillen mutters as he reads the missive, adding it to his growing pile of documents about different growing wars on Atlas

A quick and simple note : Yes, guns can be powergamed, but so can magic and magic ideas keep coming, just think of it as another magic because it's what it likely will end up being like, just for people without magic
