  1. The pair of tiny, black and yellow finches look to the angry orc with wide eyes before promptly taking off from their perch atop the shrine. Not understanding a single word mentioned. It stands to reason that the real culprit hadn’t ventured there since its renovation.
  2. A dirtied elf covered in twig, leaf, and soil alike heaved the final stone on top. Kept within the natural crown formed by the shrine. He relinquishes a relieved sigh, stepping back to admire his recently renovated work. ”It has been almost a century since I was a slave under the Ugz, yet I could never forget that sense of closure your shrine provided me after each sweltering day. Shame San’Tor is no more.” He reaches back into his bag to procure a deteriorated teacup. Several tiny pieces vacant around the lip which looked scratched and fractured. The white teacup – detailed with a red and green dragon knotting around each other like snakes – placed before the shrine gently. “Thank you. I hope this shrine does well to appease and that others might be drawn towards it for respite.” His eyes fall shut as he clasped both hands together. Slightly bowing his head for a period of motionless silence. One minute...two...recomposing himself on the third. “May fortune and the fates favor the selfless few.” He'd utter before spinning around and walking, leaving the Shrine of Jevex to its devices. The Mali’ame goes on to visit sites he had repurposed for the shrines of other spirits several decades prior. Arriving at the shrine of Isuz where he would set down several roses. Followed by the shrine of Arwa after parting back a swathe of the pumpkin fields that were hindering conventional approach. Scattering various seeds around the base. Then he paid a visit to the shrine of Akezo. Replacing the dandelion on its crown to preserve well-being. Until at last, he was trudging through fits of pummeling snowfall. His shrine to Ublulhar on the fringes of the recently encroaching storms from the Yatl Wastes. After restoring the shrine from a moot act of vandalism and ensuring it was reinforced, he skedaddled as fast as possible from the furiously chilling conditions.
  3. The pain I feel over my recent expansionistic endeavors being for naught is immeasurable . . . But otherwise, really love how the map looks. +1 I would propose giving vassal folk the chance to prove themselves with activity checks though, or even that with the occasional fill-in-form.
  4. I would be honored and flattered.
  5. And in the case that said player needed to log off before they could be notified? I've had several GMs that suddenly stop responding to me and go poof during a modreq. Forgive my lack of confidence that this holds up. Does this go for random folk who just happen to be unfortunate enough to stumble into the raid on X settlement? That have NO idea that PvP is currently in effect and just happen to get popped without any context? How are these battering rams even intended to work? Click the sign and suddenly boom you're all in? Does it have a timer that resets each time a couple more raiders infiltrate the settlement? Does it need to charge up before breaking through, allowing the defenders a chance to intervene? On another note, what if you only break a few of the blocks? Does that mean it's still reusable only with X number of iron blocks? So...after waiting between 1 to 2 hours for one raid received, the retaliating force might have to spend another 1 to 2 hours organizing the counter-raid? What in the event that all players of said enemy have logged off? Does the whole fleeing loss count respectively to attackers who lose the majority of their forces and resort to running away and taunting repeatedly until the defenders get tired of it and decide to head back inside the city? That stuff gets tedious, especially over the course of an hour. Overall, I'm absolutely no fan of the unrestricted raid limit, nor do I believe hour-long waits are in anyone's interest. I'm done diddly dandy with the raid limits as current, but that might just be me. Nonetheless, unrestricted seems like overkill. I personally also think a raid itself should be concluded before the forty-five-minute mark generally. Hence waiting a literal hour for the actual raid is just a little bit ridiculous. It should really be cut in half, if not the teensiest tadpole more. While I'm relatively meh about battering rams as a principle, it really needs clarity. If it's going to be a spontaneous thing that opens an entry inside the settlement for the raiders until the defenders finally manage to break it, then I don't think it has much of a point. The raiders will be inside and the battering rams purpose fulfilled. The only reason you wouldn't want it destroyed is if you intended to reuse it. I have my qualms with the idea behind the cooldowns too, given I don't think whether you're a victor or loser should matter much. The idea of a measly two-day cooldown for settlements unable to procure any defenders only sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Then again, don't knock it 'til you try it I guess? On, nearly forgot to mention that you forgot to include the dealio about not breaking blocks. Otherwise, good job with the draft.
  6. A very bold change that I'm impressed to see, to say the least. Seems like pretty grand lore overall. Might need a couple more bones added to it in the future, but otherwise I'll give it a +1
  7. Welcome welcome. Nicely drawn I must say!
  8. Favorite kind of tree? How was your day? How long have you been on LoTC? Favorite dish?
  9. If you could grow any beard of your choice, what style would you rock? Favorite kinds of homemade pie? How has your day been? Name your most nostalgic memory from LoTC?
  10. Plenty of current raiders hop from nation to nation to whatever just for the sake of raiding. Laying low amounts to jack diddly squat unless you go out of your way to wander off into the far-far wilderness. But, at that point you're just contributing to spread out RP which only hurts the server. Guards and/or mercenaries won't always be around in force on every day of the week 24/7. Admittedly, going off and just digging a hole somewhere is valid, but is that the sort of thing we REALLY want to be advocating for new players to do? It's pitiful, inconvenient, and in no way cohesive to RP ("This just in! Half of Atlas goes out to bury their most prized possessions."). Heists and warclaims are already meant for ransacking, plus they can justify such strict GM supervision over a raid which should really be less convoluted in nature.
  11. Also, yeah I just parrot Glad and Gallic's sentiments. They put it a whole lot more elegantly.
  12. Neither a fan of chest malarkey, nor the restrictions and technical brouhaha regarding captures, nor most of these changes to be frank. I'd rather keep the system we already have over this by a million. Even though I am fond of the designated character affiliation and location clarifications, the rest just hurts my head to even read. It entirely favors PvP raids and makes any RP raid seem completely less optimal. Why bother with heists or warclaims when you can just raid them suckers into oblivion? Why do we need an actual battering ram raid item when players should have to RP out that sort of thing with a battering ram of their own design? How do you remove a button that is actually a metal spike in RP? Please don't implement this, it will just be a detriment to RP more than anything.
  13. A local Dominion ship-enthusiast gives a friendly salute to the Lady Admiral before returning to scraping barnacles off the hull of the Adriante.
  14. +1 Granted that's pretty much a given. I don't know anybody who's a greater pleasure to work alongside when it comes to lore affairs.
  15. The premise and added information as a whole gets a BIG ol' +1 from me. Currently I feel a lot of Deity Magics could benefit from interactions with patrons given interaction with a Deity is all but inconceivable at this point. It leaves variability and flavor of broader worship fairly limited/repetitive, thus the existence of patrons combined with the possibility of ACTUALLY reaching out to one for it to take notice is a phenomenally more engaging experience. Does this mean contacting Mani should be frequent or easy? No, rather rare and tasking. Should it be go-to solution for calling down wrath on random enemies? No, nor would one likely give much of a damn. Will Druids be buffed by this unfairly? To that I ask "how does it even buff them in any practical way that makes anything save for specific bonkers ET established scenarios potentially more surmountable?" It'll still be up to LT at the end of the day and I'm positive there will be a myriad of rituals that go unanswered. Mani are already firmly cemented into culture and all this does is clarify details that were missing in the original Lore Submission. I don't even understand why Shamanism would be valid matter to get upset about considering their only likeness is that interactivity - to which Mani are more constrained overall. It's such a silly thing to get worked up over. All of that being said, I do have qualms with the post itself. Distinctly being a noticeable lack of elaboration. The rituals themselves to supposed corruption seem a tad vague. Examples of tributes, susceptibility to other varieties of corruption, aftereffects of a Mani's potential death. These and other tidbits I feel are missing from the broader understanding necessary. Just my personal thoughts anywhoodle.
  16. "Rest now mallir. You have earned peace and contentment." Sounds the green-robed Mali overlooking Abelas' still grave.
  17. Raids should absolutely incorporate more interesting/engaging RP rather than instances of charging forth, popping every person standing, and rubbing salt in the wounds with X series of memery and trollishness. "Why bother even being online?" That is far from a satisfactory compromise and I definitely feel this area could be improved with collaborative communication.
  18. How was your day friend? Favorite kind of tree? Favorite desert/candy/sweets?
  19. "I shall take the stead of my malari'onn Awaiti in light of her recent condition. Those of the Aureon seed do cast their vote for Abelas Caerme'onn, as do we wish him a grand and prosperous reign. Whether the mourning dove sings at dawn or the raven cries at dusk, long shall you have our support." Exclaims Guyden Aureon, drawing his left hand over his heart as he granted a steady bow of the head. His placid demeanor revealing little emotion even as an invasive woodpecker seemed insistent to assault his rightmost appendage.
  20. The Willow Druid's demeanor would resonate a deeply pained mourning, clasping her limp hand tightly. He idled there in prolonged silence, drawing a circle over his heart. Until finally he spoke with sorrow. "Llun. Please make your time amidst dreams short dearest lari'onn...you have plenty of souls among the walking who look to you with admiration. The earth will lament until the day you grace the woodland realms once again." He would bow his head before parting his grasp and trailing away.
  21. Daily reminder that switching to Geico could save you 15% or more on car insurance.

  22. Many thanks friend of Malinor. Whether agreed or disagreed, you've clearly shown insane determination and that's impressive.
  23. First short-notice announcement and already coming in strong. Glorious.
