  1. One thing that is certain: death knells for mankind. A man’s life is worth every sacrifice I have made. Life is fleeting; duty is eternal. Duty The Ordo Nephilim claims descent from the monastic orders of Ancient Aegis, particularly the Band of Greyscale Knights in service to the Radiant One, and the Order of Nephilim that battled Iblees from the ancient fortress of Tor Azdraeth. The primary mission of the organization is to resist Fallen Aenguls, Undead, Inferi, and other monstrosities. There are two ranks in the Ordo Nephilim, the Rephaim and the Greyscale Knights. There are three Rephaim, the Elders of the Nephilim who are responsible for recruiting disciplined and experienced Nephilim from the three major cultures of the Azdrazi. Nephilim are each assigned a major settlement to protect to the best of their ability. Intended to act as a diplomatic bridge between the Mortal Races and the Dragonkin, only the most well-liked and capable of the Azdrazi are given trials to join the Ordo Nephilim as a Greyscale Knight. 3. "HELLLLVETTEEEEEEEEE...!!!!!!!" ... Isleífr's cry, sharp and raging in his mother tongue, echoed through the air as he failed to run down the cur, Perea. A mere ten feet away, the master drove his stake into the earth, scattering the Norn and his brothers.
  4. Isleífr grit his teeth, knowing his broedr-King Haakon was 17 kills ahead of him! He shall have to catch up.
  5. "One of many heads we shall collect." Isleífr noted in approval.
  6. "Vi shall give no quarter. I shall have my death." Isleífr declared, excited to collect the skulls of the Southrons.
  7. Isleífr felt a profound sadness, as he learnt of Grommash' death. Though he had never met the Uruk himself, his escapades and achievements had reached the Norn's ears, nonetheless. A vocal prayer and offering was taken to the temple in his hearth, so that it may aid Grommash in Valhall.
  8. Isleífr was sat amidst the Hearth Temple's pyres in Vjardengrad, when he received the missive. "Many will come from shadows to turn the screws of vengeance. Interesting development." He mused, standing to seek audience with his broedr-kin.
  9. "The Long Dark shall not prevail in these halls." Isleífr rasped in the halls of the Hearth Temple, ash collecting at his knees in supplication. The Norn's face contorted in disdain at a foreign thought that came to linger; "The weak have always been known to flock to the call of the renegade."
  10. Raphaiel de Weit, ancient hero of Veletz, stood above Gaspard II's grave, trying to stir him back to life! "Deadmund's back! My liege!" @M1919
  11. Isleifr, sat in the mead hall of Solgaard, nudged his twin, Haakon ( @Milenkhov ) , with his elbow, showing him the missive with a warm smile that betrayed intent.
  12. Rest in peace brother, really heartbroken to hear what happened. You were always there with me to support me.

  13. "Pappa will split the weak spine of the Canonist. I only hope it is quick for him." said Isleífr, as he eagerly awaited to watch this sacred holmgang.
  14. This Lore has been accepted. Moved to Implemented Lore, it will be sorted to it's appropriate category soon.
  15. The closest we will come to baldurs gate in Minecraft accept it!
  16. "Yet the Templar dare to wonder why it is, that Man turns to Iblees." Isleífur ponders.
  17. For what it's worth, nations on LOTC are not what they used to be. Cauróst is by far one of the most appealing elven nations to me. I like the idea of the warrior-elf, and the aesthetic generally appeals to me on top of having good people to RP within the settlement. Haense has been a mixed bag for me in the past. I've had some strong disagreements with leadership, and generally, just wanting to play in an underdog nation has made me avoid it. It's an excellent new-player-friendly nation with an ancient and invested community where you'll find (mostly) great roleplayers and people who value narrative. I love the Reinmar aesthetic, the players, and the culture. It's enjoyable and refreshing to see, and I'm proud of how far they've come. I've barely been there to roleplay, but it's on the to-do list. Norland, I have been interacting with a lot recently; it's where I mainly play now in Sólgaard. Red Faith and Norland culture is severely underappreciated on the server. Roleplay is a little lackluster in the capital, though, I find, and it's not my go-to spot for RP. Petra is one of the 1 million human nations I'd like to see stick around. It's got roots in the server and a cool knight-state shtick. The main reason I haven't played in this nation is due to some poor RP that I've had with Petran players. On the list to check out, as well. The Church nation I've barely interacted with, but I know there are good people behind it, and it's still in its infancy. Church RP has never appealed to me, but places like Grense always have. Without a doubt, one will find great RP here with invested players. The only reason why I placed this lower is because I haven't interacted with them all too much. Haelun'or has 110% the best build on the entire server. That puts them high for me. Playing a snobby high-elf prick seems cool, and my cursory knowledge of the culture has given me a good impression. High Elf RP is exemplary of players who do it right, and it's one of the nations I wished I had checked out properly when I joined back in 2018. The Rexdom is a really cool iteration of orks that I hope will last. It was given the new coat of paint that orcs so desperately needed, in my opinion. I need to interact more with them; I can't say more. Celia'nor used to be really fantastic when it first came around, and now I think it's still a nice take on elves; just the current iteration that has poor roleplay that really shatters it for me. Numendil is literally one of the most extraordinary nations on the server, with excellent lore and culture with inspiration from the Númenóreans from Lord of the Rings that is just done incredibly well. The build is top-notch as well. If it weren't for the community's poor mindset of glory-hunting and other ST goblining— with otherwise pretty good quality RP— it would be at the top of my list. Balian is a niche that doesn't appeal to me, unfortunately. If you enjoy Spanish Imperialist RP, then this is perfect for you. I can see the appeal, and Balian has a quality culture and lore that elevates its roleplay. I've had great experiences with players from Balian; it's one of the 1 million human nations I'd choose to preserve- if it were up to me. Koyo-Kuni is the ST nation. Great culture, lore, all that jazz— it's all really fantastic and appeals a lot to me. I've played as an Oyashiman retainer since the culture was in its infancy, and I immensely enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I find the nation too gatekept to get involved with, which is sad. Hyspia is big on its culture, which is one of its strong points, in my opinion. The build could be better, and its blinding, blue coat of arms could be revised. All surface-level stuff, I know. Just like Balian, it does not appeal to me, unfortunately. I've also had good experiences with Hyspian players, who are very new-player friendly. Salvo is new, and my gripes are cursory with the nation. I'd love to interact with them in the future. While I think America is super cool and fantastic and awesome IRL (please accept my green card application)—American LARP is a unique niche that does appeal to me- but just not when it's in the same universe with 15th-century kingdoms and serfs. It has its time and place. If LoTC were set further into the future, I'd eat this shit up. I can't wait to see what's done with the lore and culture, though. Salvo has immense potential. Ravenmire is also a pretty new nation that I haven't interacted a whole lot with, but it is one of the 1 million human nations- and if it were up to me, I'd dump it. I loved Veletz, and I consider this as a weaker successor state to Veletz— but there are more things to explore than just that. Urguan is the sick man of Aevos. It's far from its glory days, in my opinion, and it just seems stale to me. I haven't interacted with them a whole lot in recent times, but I think it just needs a fresh coat of paint. Dwarf RP deserves to live on, and there are many great niches to explore. It needs people to have ideas. Vortice is a nation I have honestly never interacted with. There's nothing noteworthy for me to say about it. The Vale is a nightmare. I don't even know how this nation has survived this long. Just about every RP interaction I've had there has left me emptier than I was before. It's the case of the lore nation, which I feel survives purely because of the existence of druidism. It's the GATEKEPT NATION. How do you gatekeep a nation, dude? I'm lost for words. Trembling as I write this. There's still room for the Vale to redeem itself, to me. But it might be hard to.
  18. IT was on the way up the first few slopes of the mountain that Beówulf had begun to ruminate, mindlessly marching as he had done centuries ago— letting his boots and mind wander. With every pace taken up the mountain, the NEPHILIM felt lost, like a cinder from the fires that had popped and strayed too far from the hearth. To his right and left were the shield brothers and maidens of the Nordyr— and between them was AHNAKRIEL. Out of place, as if he did not belong. Still, he hid with cowardice, under mask and ash to maintain the facade, lest' they see what it truly was that marched beside them. SEVERAL strokes of missed opportunities had deprived him of the solace of confession, or was it rather that he was too frightened to come clean about who he was to them? Upon this accursed, cold, isolated mountain might be the grounds for REPENTANCE through blood and tears. TIME will only tell. The NEPHILIM had years of wisdom under his belt to aid him, so it would surely come to pass.
  19. The call to action was unquestionable. The Cardinal's horse rocked the halls of Morteskvan— inside, where Ivar Colborn was in the middle of playing charades. "Fort Tatiyana is under attack!" Ivar is no more than fourteen, with a fresh and unmolested set of raiments from the Marian Regiment. All he bore was a hand-me-down Aurum sword strapped to his hip— and a honeyed dream. The ride there was grueling and seemingly took ages despite the fort resting on the castle's doorstep. He worried deeply on the back of the Cardinal Ivan's horse. Thinking back on his mother, father, brothers, and sisters. He had never adequately fought anyone, let alone anything before but a few trees in the forest. He only recalled arriving there. The rest of the battle was a complete blur, the boy relying on survival and luck alone to do his best. Imps. The imps. A thought that could never leave his mind. The grating sounds of his innards being ripped into, how his body quaked with the tearing of flesh and intestines. His screams seemed to deafen him, vocal cords quickly drying up and all the same swelling with a ball of tears— a blood-lusted fury that ended the imp that dug into his intestines. It was the most satisfying thing to ever happen to him; beating that imp into a gory pulp. It was a type of anger that the boy never knew he was capable of. From there, it was all a blur. He knew deep inside there was more to the story, yet he could never hope to recall it. He woke blind in the clinic, surrounded by strangers, unsure if it was true or merely a dream, not being able to recall his name, barely being able to move through the pain. All that was real was pain. He wished to die upon this very bed, to be spared from the pain, as silent tears welled in the back of his throat— he begged for God to take him. Ivar tried his best to remember, but there was nothing. His vision returned to him slowly but surely, yet the faces around him were familiar but unrecognizable. Too, did the boy unfortunately struggle to remember what truly saved him, that Templar, Theo— it was nothing but a burning memory from this tragedy. It was perhaps the biggest tragedy of it all. "We love you, Ivar. Don't forget that." Ivar was my name.
  20. She was always a treat to hang out with in Solgaard VC. She always came just to chill and talk, and she was open with her condition and her state with us, which meant a lot to me that she had such confidence. I've always prayed for good health and to find her because she's such a kind and open soul. I am very honored to have been acquainted with her. May the white shores greet you with warmth and welcome, dear Pebbles.
  21. It fits very well into the new theme of the Azdrazi and might help encourage shifts in roleplay mindsets. Maybe soon we will join The Good Guys™.... right?
