Birdwhisperer 1174 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Quite simply, please remove it. Pros: You can't return to where you died for 5 minutes. It adds one more reason for people to not want to die. Cons: It deprives you of roleplay for 5 minutes. It's unnecessary and serves no purpose. What was the reason for it, anyway? The crypt itself is a small, boring room and there's nothing to do within. You can't even eat the cake. It's been redecorated and parkour course has been added, but you still can't eat the cake. The majority of the time you end up there for silly deaths like fall damage or dying to mobs. When you do die in roleplay, usually you simply soulstone and bypass the crypt entirely. You can soulstone out of it, although you will be returned to the Cloud Temple when your 5 minutes are up. Sometimes that's enough time to grab your items if you died by accident. Dizzy771: If you log off right before the 5 minute TP back mark you and wait a few seconds you can log back on and still be where you were without TP'ing :P That's really all I have to say about it. I'd rather not waste 5 minutes doing nothing in a video game because I fell off a cliff. Updated.
Wolf Druid Ouity 1461 Share Posted November 9, 2013 I for one think it is a fundamentally important aspect of the server, and it serves a useful function! Said no one ever.
Old-Rattlesnake 1534 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Agreed. Mob and fall deaths account for the majority of deaths on the server, meaning the death rule doesn't apply. I also think pretty much everyone would like the option of running back to their death point and recovering their items before it's too late.

Mephistophelian 977 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Yeah, I agree. Just as long as people don't come back to a battle zone after they have been killed, I'm ok.

Aislin 4354 Share Posted November 9, 2013 I'll admit that I did think it was a good idea when it was proposed, mostly because of the awesome lore written to accompany it. However, nothing ever happened with it in terms of RP, it developed into a nuisance. I do value its purpose during wars, but overall it's a pain in the ass. Remove. MetaSolaray 242 Share Posted November 9, 2013 Keep for war, remove otherwise...The best thing that ever came from the crypt is "Minas or die...again," funny post.
KoTo 610 Share Posted November 9, 2013 I agree with keeping it during wars. Otherwise remove it for everything else.
mmat 7460 Share Posted November 9, 2013 What's more boring than sitting in a single room for five meetings for no good reason while you could be doing something that actually is fun? Remove, along with 50% of the other pointless plugins we have.
