By removing player lore..does that mean I could ride around in a streltmobile and not worry about making it canon?

I think it means that it that would never happen until a staff member wrote lore for it.

Or you could remove the lore team entirely.

There's a much simpler and logical way to monitor lore:

  1. PvP default (including mages)
  2. Allow only approved races to be played (and no Aengul/Daemon blooded people)
  3. Enforce no metagaming and powergaming, because that's the only real problem with lore regulation after combat and races.
  4. Anything else goes as long as it doesn't violate the above rules.

And address the issues which are at hand, (nexus)

Keep the responses constructive please.

Close but not exactly.

As mentioned in the OP, the lore regulations would be HEAVILY overhauled so that stuff like that could go through without the need for proposing lore, though obviously we wouldn't allow just anything through. Essentially it would be like "You can have your special awesome super weapon thing, but only if it doesn't give you an advantage over someone else and it fits the server's theme". Stuff like that.

Do we really need more constriction on roleplay?

I believe this would mean more freedom in roleplay, just something that needs actual lore would need to be an idea implemented by the staff of their own accord.

Taking away player lore could solve many problems, but it could also cause many. What if someone gets an incredible creature or magic idea. What do we do? I don't know if I'd like this at all. People should be allowed to tell their thoughts on additions to the server. If nothing new ever came through the server, what would there be to stay for? The same conflicts, the same enemies, the same dangers. What if you'd tried this sooner, and we never got ghosts? or alchemy lore? or dread knights? Think of all the things player lore has done, and please. Keep player lore.

Your OP kind of made it seem like players wouldn't be doing their own lore.

So, essentially, players wouldn't have to make lore proposals, rather players being unable to create new lore entirely?

Yes and no. It would both restrict creativity and promote creativity at the same time, because it would prevent people from getting things that give them an advantage over someone else, though simultaneously it would allow for people to add stuff to the server without the need for proposing it that fits lore regulations that would essentially be more specific yet in the end much more loose.

I think this is going to do exactly what we don't want to do. How about we start easing out of an application and ban happy enviroment and go to a bit more relaxed roleplay where unless it's some super op antag you don't need lore for it. Keep it how it is and don't fix what we haven't broke. If anything it's not the lore that's broken it's the team that's broken

tl;dr Remove the LT because they do nothing

After reading the OP, I have changed my mind to a yes.

I miss everyone just making up lore for stuff as they go. It makes things fun and exciting!

I could expand on my point greatly, and offer explanations for all sides of this argument, but I have not the time.
