Ooc The Orcs.

We need to discuss what we need to do to remake the orcs to be a sustainable and fun race. Also we can discuss 4.0 and such.

Currently we have a smoke house built near the dwarves for us to roleplay at near other players. There is a klompin pit as well as maybe we should relocate our roleplay there so that people see us.

The Orcs in general are quite amusing when solo, and being forced into a pink-tutu while being ordered to dance around a campfire is as amusing as hell. But the orcs seem far too OOC focused, and act a bit solo. I think that with wandering groups of Orc roleplayers who do not (always) kill, slaughter or humiliate you, but also trade, duel and basicly communicate, could add alot of new content and immersion to the Orcs.\

I would suggest turning the Orcs into nomads as well, tents are quickly build and adds a new element to the Orcish roleplay.

But thats just my opinion.

The Orcs need a strong leader, because right now, it's not solid whatsoever.

I've been to the Orcish areas during peak times for at least 3 consecutive days, and sadly enough I don't see a single orc there. It's really sad.

I got bored of my orc. We need to focus our rp more around locating ourselves around settlements, and adding more things to our culture. Being moving constantly would be great, traveling clans that fight each other grand. We also need to find a way to describe orcish honor and what would cause them to fight each other over perhaps something dumb to elves or humans (sarcasm could be something sinful? Because I noticed no orcs use sarcasm in a in-character environment?)

We really just need more unique things, and more culture to our environments and ways for us to inner-klomp a bit, and even just find ways for orcs to do orcish crafts, and hunting. Growing crops would be foolish if we move a lot, so maybe we'd need to hunt, eat other races to sustain ourselves, or trade.

Be more friendly OOCly, change the ways of orcs, less PvP core, finish shaman canon lore, bring back culture.

Edit: Get an RP oriented Rex, not a PvP oriented, get shamans a more respected place.

When I was a slave at the orcs, I had a lot of fun with them. Few torture and slave rp, slaving rp, klomps, and even normal talks. Also liked a lot Destroyer's chef orc, Thurak's alchemy, the shaman's. Yet for some reason I think there are a lot of orcs that just come online to raid and fight. I might be wrong, but when the war was on, orcs were always at the town, thought I haven't been there for a while since I got killed, you guys might not be there anymore.

If the problem is war, then be orcs. Raid, but don't raid to kill, raid to steal, enslave, take animals, steal the crops, etc etc. Of course then you can also do the profession rp for the orcs, thought that is kind of rare everywhere.

Bog hasn't even been Rex for a week.

As for Orcs being nomadic I think that was brought up at some point end-Asulon. I personally don't think Orcs should be nomadic because of the way 4.0 is being carried out.

As for what miss pessimist said the Orcs are plently friendly OOCly to people who are friendly to them OOCly. Orcish culture also heavily relied on pvp, so less pvp = less culture. I agree with the finishing of the Shaman lore. Shamans need to be more involved with Orcish culture to help deter from the route of the best pvpers getting the higher ranks and such.

I got tired of playing my Orc simply because nothing really happens, I can walk down a road and get attacked by someone or walk into a city and get kicked out. Usually how it happens :P

As for Shaman lore, I submitted a piece a while back and some LMs gave me feedback and then said they'd have the LT review it. That was in like, February. That's hardly our fault.

As for OOC attitude, I didn't think we were unfriendly, and we have a PvP core because we're a combat orientated race (that's the point of Orcs) and PvP is much easier, quicker and cleaner than RP combat.

@Piercing

Orcish honour was outlined in Grool's post "Honor Laws of the War Nation"

Um, we need stronger leadership. We haven't had a single good orc leader since Aegis...

I hate to put a stereotype on a fiction character, but you folks are normally the bad guys (heck, look at all the parents you've killed).

Be the best villains that you can be. Make Orc RP exceptional villain RP, and maybe add a bit of combat in there among yourselves in character.

This is from my outside position, take it how you will.

Yeah orcs are not stupid. Obviously there is time for a change. PvP is not working, it scared people off that might wanna try an orc but simply isn't interested in MC mechanics. Orcish PvP isn't culture, Orcish culture is a mystic shaman, hunting might beasts, gatherings to tell stories of old times and great battles, slaving, RP is the answer, not PvP.

@Sneaky

I remember Arteh being a good rex until he left for the dwarves.

Anyway, when I was playng my Orc, I noticed the settlements are frequently inactive, as if no one was there. And when people were actually there, they just walk around and ignore any attempts at RP.
