I am currently retracting any comments because aparently it is /all/ my fault if our little homestead, away from all conflict rp, gets constantly raided. Yay for freaking logic.

if you think about this, it makes total sense in rp

 

  • large cities that bandits would otherwise stay away from cannot be raided anyway
  • smaller unprotected settlements that would be easy pickings for bandits will be raiding like they normally would without any ooc barrier

now rp will be more centralized and fun : )

Exactly, hopefully this will deal with all these totally independent settlements popping up everywhere. It encourages people who have random towns to Rp with nations for aid/protection by becoming apart of that nation. You can't be a casual peaceful village if you're alone in the world and don't have enough people military wise.

Could you explain what will happen in the case of a mage battle, as we do not have the magic plugin we are restricted to rp...so for a fight must we void everything for some Item hungry pvper? If so that isn't fair to us.

Okay, everyone calm down. We haven't even tried this yet. Anyway it's pointless to raid with 30 people.

Only problem nations shouldn't be able to deny war claims. Because they could basically do anything they want without repercussions.

The issue with this is people hating other people OOCly , and kicking them from said nations. Other people might want to avoid OOC completely , but I guess with this rule , people are getting OOCly 'rekted' for no reason.

Then bring the staff into the situation and work something out.

 

And who exactly is being kicked from nations? That seems a bit extreme.

The rule that I seriously want changed back is just the pvp default absolute to pvp default majority decision. Being someone who tries to create a good deal of roleplay with RP fights and situations, it would be annoying if there was a group of 6 people and one just has to say 'pvp default'. Then the other five wanting RP would have to go PvP even if two are on this sole PvP player's side are wanting RP as well. Basically it would make it a good deal harder for anyone who tries to create RP fights/scenarios because all it takes is one man to say 'no' now..

Zae? Is there a problem with paying money to ensure a spot to /protect/ small player rp groups? Groups that /heavily/ despise PVP and raids?

Hopefully these groups that wants to do their own thing and not disturbed by anything that could be bad for them and have their pixels safe takes a plot away from the central area of 4.0.

I don't get this, I really don't. This is rp, Jade, rp. Don't start weeping about it, it's just how it is, everyone is willing to deal with it Jade, are you?

There's a line between RP , and then utter OOC bullshit (pardon the language). I'm not defending anyone , but I'm pretty sure atleast 50% of the community have had OOC issues from nations or certain people at some point.

So just some thing in a skype chat Does this mean that one/two man raids are allowed? and during raids is the only time you are allowed to lock pick and now with no raid times to limit it this. is this allowing lock picking once more with all the person has to say this is a raid?

 

No, Currently no lockpicking chests is allowed... Raid or not. This was a tiny over sight. 

 

3) Now, onto the last point. If the prior two changes didn’t set your hair on fire, this last one certainly will. After much deliberation, we have decided to return PvP to an absolute default. Many of you will be extremely pleased with this, many of you will want to stab us, but regardless this change was needed to make the other two changes fruitful. This means that we are revoking the majority decision which decides what type of style is used in a fight. In order for it to be an RP fight, EVERYONE must agree to it, otherwise it’s PvP. The exception to this is if the style of fighting is already decided, so if a group of 5 decide on RP fighting and then a single person comes along afterwards and tries enforcing PvP default, they can be told to (kindly) gtfo. Also, should someone lose in an RP fight, they cannot be forced to kill themselves mechanically if they do not want to. With that being said, players may still be killed mechanically within a safe zone without using PvP (via a guard force’s execution apparatus, for example).

 

 

Just saying that you didn't change this at all because it never was the majority vote that decided the way we fight I was told this by two GMs after I was apart of a huge argument between a majority that wanted RP and the minority that wanted PVP the PVPer got what they wanted because even if there is a majority if they argue enough they get their way. 

 

The rule was poorly worded before and left for a loop hole, this isn't how it should have been and it was re written recently. 

What about events? What if there are about five people, all agreeing to rp, besides one? Also same thing with an rp fight, everyone agrees but one, then it should be rp. It should.

 

If you are joining into and RP event I would just go with the flow, if its a "pvp" event then expect to pvp?

The logic behind a tiny group being out on its own and being safe is flawed. THAT being said, I did say I would talk to Rittsy about VIP regions getting added into the fringe.

If you are truly worried about getting pvped that much I don't see why you would wonder off on your own, Magic users are in the minority but maybe something can be added to help you guys out.

It's not always the case lol, you can't just make these assumptions. And yes I do agree with you, but your going to have to deal with it lol. There are lots of issues when it comes to this topic and were just going to have to deal with it.

Why can't we just have those who have massive experience with war help/write the new war rules?

 

Bring together the large nation leaders and have them make something, rather than the almighty sky gods?

I don't see the PvP-off flags as RP fight zones, more like the cities we had in Aegis. Al'khazar had one of them if you recall.

 

 

 

Wait... technically , one thief could 'raid' a house , steal someone's belongings with a high enough roll , and leave...

 

Does that mean casual lock picking is back?

 

 

I would guess that the removal of raid rules means raids no longer formally exist. It's not everything counts as a raid but rather nothing counts as a raid.

 

Well what if say a nation or protected group constantly raid, harass and cause chaos with another nation over and over and then goes to hide behind this OOC barrier? Protected from warclaims and PvP. What will the staff do to battle this?

Could always use your own noPvP region.
