Meanwhile in the Horen family the men of House Horen gather to form a strategy against the Ride Tide, for no criminal organization shall have the Nobility of Oren at the grips of fear. To pay the ransom is to show a houses weakness. He sends carrier pigeons with messages to the other houses to gather support in eradicating the Red Tide from existence, chivalry calls for it.

James Amador laughs "You cut off a man’s fingers and he will use his tongue against you, but cut off his sons head or flay his daughters, then you may make a lasting impact. Great and effective terror is the only thing that will get a radical minority what it wants. Ha! fingers..."

"What in the seven hells is a blessing? Only the Creator himself can remove his own blessing, and any who claim otherwise are fools and heretics. Burn them all."

As he continues to discuss prices with a noble household, he looks to his other letters to find very few other requests.

"Well time to get to work."

Rand gives a nod to the other members of the Red Tide in the room.

A strelt guarding a Raevir noble notices the poster, and points it out. The noble reads it out loud.

..

The strelt dies laughing, leaving the noble alone!

The strelt would then realize that the noble isn't a noble at all, it is really two halflings standing on a sack of rolling potatoes in a fancy trench coat.

Rand smiles as he hears news of payment, "That noble house is now safe. Tis good to hear some are listening."

Quinlan wonders what fake noble houses are paying a joke of a heretical group of thugs playing at war any sort of money. He thinks it's a desperate attempt to grasp for straws of attention by a group that can only hurt women and children instead of people who can actually fight.

A hooded man approaches Faiz in his dark, secluded corner. He bows, placing the report atop the desk, and leaves. Faiz then reads the report, nodding to himself as he lightly taps the edge of the desk. A owl is heard whoing outside. Faiz then speaks in a low, evil but fake sounding voice "Eheheh, the location of the red tide... I wonder if I could sell this information?"

Faiz then claps his hands twice, and all the edginess of the room dissipates, now replaced with rainbows and bunnies.

Out of Faiz's backpack springs a joyful Fumble Willowbottom who begins to throw flowers and cakes everywhere.

News of a peasant being beaten by lucienists spreads around. Apparently they thought he was Red Tide.

Rand thinks naw, they actually got paid.

Rand yawns. He would immediately know who it is if word got out. Yet he doesn't care because the Red Tide never keeps their treasures in the hideout.

"Literally, come duel me right now, children" Leonidas responds to the demand, a map pinpointing his awaiting at the gate to the noble sector. "You can have 4000 minas if you beat me"

The Emperor signs faintly, hearing of these degenerates attempting to scare the Oren Nobility. The Emperor grows tired and old, just another thing added to his plate.

"Viceroy, assure the Nobility that they are safe... I will write a proclamation."
