Guns! An Advance In Technology?

Here is my proposal. Guns, most people would think that guns would be too much for LoTC, Too big of an advancement in technology, but i beg you to read the rest of this.

Magic, more and more people are learning it and most would think its getting kind of old and annoying. There is no true way of knowing what teir mage you are, for all the opponent knows you could not know magic at all or have no experience with it but still say you are a T5 mage. Im sure some of us have run across that problem. My compromise with this would be a gun with a very slow fire rate and a bolt the speed of an arrow. This idea would (Hopefully if all goes as planned) draw people away from magic and more towards different kinds of guns.

Im not saying we should have full on machine guns, I'm more suggesting a very inaccurate and slow musket. A musket at best would reload in one minute, on average about 1:30.

At this point I bet you are thinking, Well why cant you just use a bow? Well don't worry I have thought of that already! A bow is more accurate and can be fired a lot faster than a musket would be able to, however, Some people would simply feel more powerful with a heavy gun on their shoulder with a big bayonet at the tip of the barrel. A pre-loaded musket would fire faster than an unloaded bow and would have a high chance of ending an RP fight quickly!

A magic staff VS A musket. A magic staff would have the same idea of a musket, just without the magic part. Many people despise mages but would love to have that kind of power. A gun would be the compromise. Having a gun would have the same power as a firebolt, the same noise, but the speed of an arrow (so a bit faster.)

A gun would also be nice for people who really don't have the time to be a mage and just want that kind of power fast. Adding muskets into the game would separate the magic users who just learned magic and are not truly interested in the void and the ones that are. If there are magic users who are true to their power then they most likely will not go for the gun idea.

Just make lore for Americans

+1 btw

If the Minecraft staff ever decide to actually add guns to the game I'm going to be VERY curious as to what LoTC does.

It would be interesting, to say the least.

Mech standard would give us guns, perhaps.

Look, it was just an idea... I just wanted it to have a chance.

You don't have to get all sad about it, you gave a proposal and the community tore it to shreds and pissed on it's flaming corpse. Gave their feedback.

Why not just RP a gun and have an MC bow represent it?

Because in rp it is INSANELY OP compared to anything else in the world. Also, I've been looking to point this out. We literally have a plugin representation of this. The golden staves! They have quite a long reload, travel without gravity, and do high damage. Rping guns is exactly what people are asking for on this thread. And it would change everything we know about war and rp on LOTC.

I think this was addressed prior, look back a few pages.

Also, if the guy who owns the server does not want advancements beyond a certain age, then you can't really complain.
