I know what happened with the discovery of gunpowder. It's called Ancient China. Also, by the logic you are using, we should ban metal, as that could lead to processors, and then to computers. There have been plenty of "why's" to accompany all of the "no's", the most resounding one being that guns don't belong in the fantasy setting of Lord of the Craft. They may in Warhammer, they may in WoW, but we are not either of those.

Barely anyone can handle an unfair battle without a ban report (or three) going up, guns won't help that in the least bit.

The Lore Team has already said no to this kind of technology.
