And On This Day

All through the Grand Kingdom of Urguan posters are spread. The letters are fine, those bearing the style of a craftsman. Ornate, but simplistic at the same time. Should anyone care to read them, they would read as such

And on this day, in the vast stone halls of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, we have witnessed an act of Khorvad. A such brutal and terrible act, committed by one who should be looked upon as a role model and a leader. The Grand King himself. In a time of conflict and strife, so great was his wrath he committed the ultimate sin. Kinslaying. Lo' did the crimson blood of our High Prophet stream across the stone floors before the kings feet. The scene was all to clear... blood dripping from his axe, the so called "Grand King" withdrew to his throne to rise above those who he sought to hold in an iron fist.

And what was this all for? The bloodshed? The death? The Murder?

A but it is simple.... for questioning the authority of this High and mighty monarch. During an event of such great importance the High Prophet Lori Ireheart spoke out against Midgor, stating his rights as a clan father, but more so, as a dwarf. What was his response? What was the answer to the rights of a dwarf?

Cold Steel

I implore you all, look at the actions of the King, see his injustices. You may look no further then our very own articals, drafted at the will of a one Midgor Ireheart. Let me even give you an excerpt from the code of laws.

Section VII

4: Lese Majeste

4.1. Lese majeste is the crime of disrespect of or insufficient reverence for the Grand King of Urguan, including assaults of the personage or character of the Grand King.

4.2. Lese majeste is a first-degree crime.

Do you know what is punishable if in the First Degree? Let me show you once more!

Section III

regarding degrees of criminality and their maximum and minimum punishments

5. Atrocities, or First Degree crimes.

5.1. The minimum period of imprisonment for an atrocity is seven stone days.

5.2. The maximum period of imprisonment for an atrocity is two stone weeks.

5.3. The minimum fine for an atrocity is two thousand minas, or an amount of material wealth judged as equal by public proclamation of the Grand King.

5.4 The maximum fine for an atrocity is fifty thousand minas, or an amount of material wealth judged as equal by public proclamation of the Grand King.

Do you see now? He has even implaced a law that allows him to punish you with a MINIMUM of a fine of TWO THOUSAND minas for what? For not holding him in sufficient reverence.. Oh, and at worst? No need to worry fair citizens, it may just end in your exile or execution or something. No big deal right? No, of course it is.

A King should serve the Kingdom, not the otherway around. I have yet to see this from the illustrious Midgor Ireheart. All I see is a Kinslayer, and a Tyrant.

Dwain hums a tune in his head while working in the sugar cane farms.

Do you hear the dervas sing

Singing the song of angry lords

Its the beauty of the people

Who will not be slaves again.

Kailon would've liked to agree with Dizzy's words, but could never openly admit his thoughts of the king's tyrant like reign,

and detriment to the dwarven kingdom.

The Dwarves amongst him, his own kin, were more likely to bear fealty to their king than a Forest Dwarf Woodworker's well-being.

If such a time arose where he would speak out however, a place to relocate to may be wise.

-Mutters under his breath after his taxation collector Vakun reads the poster to him-

"Bah, tis is all bloon 'oot 'o proportion. Lori was disrespectful tae entire time, an' speakin' nothin' but nonsense as if 'E was controlled by Khorvad 'imself, ye coold even say t'at Lori went stark. 'Oot is sad t'at little blood like tis causes tis much chaos, even t'ough we 'urselves are more savage t'an we realize, an' t'at tis kingdom spills more blood t'an tae orcs, 'umans, an' elves combined."

Official statement from Clan Irongut in response to the Kinslaying Incident

Clan Irongut officially condemns the unlawful murder of High Prophet Lori Ireheart conducted by Grand King Midgor Ireheart, 11th of The Grand Harvest 1468.

We will be watching the Grand King closely these next coming weeks, to ensure that His Majesty will not repeat the crime of such dishonourable nature,  of which is in direct violation of the Laws of Urguan. If the contrary displayed, harsh consequences will be issued.
