The End Of Renatus

Let it be known that Maric Varodyr know as the Storm King and Edmund Horen, have both been martyred in attack by the Undead upon Angren and that Angren is lost and defiled. With both of them passing, rightfully the title of King of Renatus would pass to myself Godfrey Horen, but I have no taste for Kingship nor do I believe the Kingdom of Renatus should have been revived by Maric or Edmund. Moreover Maric himself had no claim to the Kingdom of Renatus even if Edmund abdicated it to him. Furthermore not many of us agreed with the way they ruled or their laws more than that we certainly did not agree with their rhetoric.

For this I Godfrey Horen the third of my name, with my power as heir and as first vizier of Renatus hereby announce the dissolution of the title of King of Renatus, and the disbandment of the Kingdom of Renatus, and that the Mardonic League shall take its place as a united free state of Dominions with no singular ruler.

Furthermore to all Nation Leader’s let it be known that the Mardonic League is interested in trade and commerce, it is not interested in warfare nor expansion. The only enemy we shall fight is the enemy of all Nations and all the Creators children.

A period of mourning shall be held for the passing of the two men, whether they were well liked or not is not a matter of concern they passed fighting the Undead they deserve this at-least.

Upon hearing the news Jean would simply shake her head, a short and quiet sigh escaping her lips. She'd carry on with her business, otherwise unphased by the events.

The Pine Druid just stares into the North from atop the father tree. "Humans and their ruddy politics..."

*Volker, an actual Human involved with what is going on and not a some random druid, pickle monster or otherwise listens to the words as they are spoken by his Liege Lord Godfrey. He ponders for a moment why some people feel the need to 'voice' their irrelevent cow shite, and when something is announced in a HUMAN place why it those none Humans that are the first to speak. Regardless he returns to the Hounds keep where the Lords men all wait in rank and file. He address the men . . .

"Brothers and Sisters of the Hounds, our King and a member of the Horen family have been killed by the vile heretics known as the Undead. Though we may not have considered ourselves as tools of Marics nor Edmunds will, we cannot let such an injustice remain unpunished, especially not to the likes of some rot faced corpses in silken robes. We grow stronger every day and it is with each passing day that we grow closer to the end of the plague. We shall not rest so long as the Undead are left unwounded by our blades, we shall not rest until our purpose has been fulfilled to the utmost. We shall not rest until each and everyone one of us have attained salvation in service to Godfrey!"

'Red' briefly removes his helm and holds it to his chest, head bowed in a moment of silence. The moment passing, the helm is slid back into place and he continues with his business.

Avarice would raise a brow in surprise, flicking a coin boredly between his fingers. "These Undead... truly are something to be feared." he'd grumble, rising from his seat to go and inform Lore de Bar, if he hadn't already noted the news.

Adolf Ruhr Von Manstein would scoff at the proclamation, being a hardcore monarchist. "No singular ruler? There must be a king to every kingdom!" He would exclaim.

Louis Fournier d'Avenese would be mildly interested in the news, but not be too fussed, as the news would have little to do with him or his house.
