The world has changed. No longer does the United States dominate on the world stage, a powerful leader to promote peace and democracy around the world. Instead, fear and oppression rule the day. As resources dwindle worldwide, nations struggle to survive in this hostile environment that they have created. How will the nations of the world survive? Through domination? Through technological innovation? Through control of global trade? Or will they attempt to abandon this world altogether, and look elsewhere for their resources?

A remarkable comment from Assad has stirred the pot on social media and the UN as the question rises again; Is the world sustainable as it is today?" Let us take a look;

The Patriarchy Of Portugal

 

The Patriarchy and a group of Ministers choosen by himself walk around the cathedral's dormitories. They discussed new plans for the reconstruction of the now nearly flooded city of Lisbon.They discuss new economical projects and how they'll make the country self sufficient seeing how Portugal is mostly agriculturaly based at the moment. They also discuss further homeland security, the Patriarch sends a message to the Russian Federation. ((Will PM you via skype))

 

Euconomic actions:

They start rebuilding the city of Lisbon as well as other cities that were heavily destroyed. 

They open trade of edible goods in enchange for either money or construction material.

 

Militaristic Actions:

They train some militias wiith left over weapons left by the old military, they retake military bases of the country boosting their land units. They recover some tanks, and aircraft.

The Empire of Japan

 

For over 2,600 years the Yamato dynasty of Japan has ruled, unbroken in its line. Japan's technology is superior and its army armed again. The island chain is protected from the sea levels by levees, and little of the downward spiral experienced in the West since 2015 can be seen in Japan. The city of Tokyo has grown further, and rushed government policies has increased the birth rate per family enough to break even, stopping the slow population drop. What has been called the Second Meiji Restoration has begun in Japan, the Emperor quickly gaining traction against his adversaries in the Japanese Congress, and much of the country backs him.

 

The Japanese military has invested heavily in its aeronautics and naval branches, the nation going to significant measures to make sure aggressors cannot land on its shores. Its military, though with very low numbers, is augmented by the technological sector of one of the most advanced nations in the Far East. Japan obviously seeks a defensive policy in regards to its neighbors, its bulwarks far stronger than its offensive armies.

 

The technological sector of Japan has changed with the resources of the world dwindling. Effort has gone into the structure of machinery and government funds are spent on teaching the public the boons of solar and wind power and recycling. Research is done on finding the most efficient sources of power and the best ways to build things with the least resources. On highways in the Japanese countryside the visitor would see more and more hybrid or electric cars, as gas becomes more expensive and electric charging stations more abundant. Its researchers also search for the most efficient way to turn salt water into fresh water, filters constantly being refined and strengthened and water plants being built in Hokkaido. Japan also makes use of its robotics to do the low-level jobs like garbage disposal and street cleaning.

 

Japanese aeronautics, however, are almost all centered on one goal; resources in space. The large Imperial party in Congress constantly pushes for more bases to be set up on the Moon and a colony to be set up on Mars, and many call for Japan to claim a chunk of the Moon for itself. Posters proclaiming "Space is the Future" are seen in many of the streets of Tokyo, and children are pushed towards careers in sciences more than law or domestics.

 

Abroad Japanese companies have started to export its all-use vending machines and set them up in cities across Africa and Asia - Vending machines selling everything from ready-to-eat-meals to clothing popping up across the few growing economic sectors in the world.

 

In terms of diplomacy, Japan has stopped most communication with Europe, its few Western ties limited to ancient treaties held by the USA against Japanese expansion. These are at risk of being broken by the Japanese, though, as the military of Japan screams for it to take the juicy islands of Southeast Asia.

 

Russia is asked for the island of Sakhalin, and in return would gain Japan's alliance and easier trade between the two. It is pointed out that Japan has one of the strongest fleets in the Pacific, rivaling in size even its large neighbor China.

 

The Taiwanese people being pushed around by its KMT government begin to be funded by Japan, in the hopes that the KMT will be taken down and Taiwan will join Japan as friends or, even better, as a prefecture. Historically Taiwanese people had almost been converted to the Japanese culture before China took it back.

 

South Korea is given the guarantee that Japan will assist it in unifying Korea if Japan is given the port of Wonsan upon conquest.

Collier watched his entire nation fall apart. His beloved country - his life and his inspiration was dying and he needed to cure her. He grit his teeth as he saw the chaos. How people took to the streets in senseless violence and fought each other mercilessly for petty things like skin color, religon, and political views. This was far from what the founding fathers envisioned of the grand old Union, and he needed to be the catalyst in it's rebirth.

 

 

The now-President of the Union made something of himself. He didn't rely on corporate bribery and funding from wealthy individuals with their own agenda to get where he was. He originally hailed from the most conservative state in the CSA - Texas. He loved his state and was proud of his origins. His independency of a political party, moral views and semi-conservative, yet also very progressive policies made him a likable character. He loved jokes, he had a great smile, and was one of the most popular presidents in US history.

 

 

Although the President hailed from Texas, his views were radically different. Collier was disgusted at what his people voted into government and the new intolerent throwbacks that dared control his place of birth. He was also the former governer of Texas - back when the CSA wasn't in power. Although publically he hailed as a devout Christian, he was non-religious at heart, thinking it a waste of time and resources. His family had wealth and power - one of the most powerful familes in the United States - a key factor in his presidency.

 

 

President George K. Collier sat in the Oval Office, contemplating everything wrong with America at the moment. He wasn't a racist - well... not technically. He knew he held a prejudace against both Muslims and Europeans, but he was not public about it. He wanted an American melting pot, not a white neo-nazi fascist state. There were Americans of all colors that had the right to live there, not like some of the the conservative confederate bigots he grew up with. The State of the Union speech was coming up and he needed to be there and show his ability to keep America united.

It was nearly time, and he fixed his tie.

 

 

As he stepped up on the podium and looked at Congressmen and Senators, he studied them. Southerners considered him a traitor for refusing to accept Confederate beliefs, and Unionists considered him a untrustworthy, as he hailed from the most conservative state in America. Unintimidated, he made his speech:

 

 

"Fellow Americans and anyone watching this around the world. Our country is in a time of despair. No longer is this land looked upon as the land of the free, but instead as the land of the divided. Our blessed nation used to stand for something. We used to always try and do the right thing, even though we've made mistakes doing it. Eventually our power got to our heads, and we assumed that if you dropped a few bombs, sent in some drones, and toppled a regime, you could install a democracy. It is evident that our view of democracy was obscured, so much so that we forgot to pay attention to the democracy that mattered most - the one here at home. We should be regarded as who we used to be, not this fuedal, conflicted nation that we have become! We should be looked again as preservers of democracy. We should remember that our forefathers faught a Civil War to keep this nation united. That together, as Americans, we landed on the shores of France as liberators, invented great things built on great feats of technological advances, put a man on the moon, and helped create peace and prosperity throughout the world. We should not be viewed anymore as fat, ignorant, or stupid, but instead as smart, powerful, and independent! I will not attack the CSA's beliefs or how it aims to divide our country, but instead ask them to remember our great nation's accomplishments and join us once again so that we may be united once more! The crowd goes in uproar and plans to heal the nation go underway.

 

Senators revise budget spending. Money originally spent in Foreign Aid is redirected to improve education, social infrastructure, and healthcare, and to pay off debts. The President publically encourages small businesses to innovate and tries to draft a bill to help struggling entrepreneurs economically - hoping that the free market will lift America out of it's economic struggle.

 

 

Political campaigns begin in the South to try and decrease the influence of the CSA. The President tries to use his Texan roots to encourage southerners to vote against party members of the CSA. Border security is increased on both sides to ward off any sovereign state into taking advantage of America's weakness.

Japan is offered a continuation of past alliances. The US hopes they can once against strengthen their ties and remain in control of the pacific. The U.S still has a strong Naval force, despite budget cuts, and sends in a large force to protect Hawaii.

 

Russia is offered a trade agreement.

 

American banks offer to help crashed European economies make it through the Euro collapse. In WWI, US Banks ended German inflation, and a similar tactic is planned. A trade agreement is offered to every former EU nation and the United Kingdom.

 

President Collier would like to meet with the leader of the CSA movement and discuss a future for a united America.

~Switzerland~

 

In 2034, the Presidency was changed to a Council of Presidents, 1 for Politics, 1 for Defense, 1 for Economy.

 

Switzerland, being a powerful economic powerhouse in the world, was fairly unaffected by the depressions spreading across the world. However they took notice and discussed over it during most to near all meetings. Most discussions included the topic of aiding other countries most affected by the changes of the Earth.

 

One day it was put to a vote, and during the discussion prior it was found, for Switzerland's economy to continue strong, the rest of the world must as well, and the vote succeeded unanimously. Soon, the reserve was called on and opened, offers of aid were being sent to each nation in Europe most affected by the depression, in the attempt to bolster trade once more.

 

Scientists began bringing theories and designs for new constructs to the administrative office, with proposals attempting to fix the vast overuse of resources. Most were halted before ever entering the discussion chamber, those few that entered however kept the politicians speaking for days on end. Most of the theories and designs involved things Switzerland was not involved in very much, being a mountainous country. They included things such as ways to enhance farming; the one most spoken over was the effort to make resource usage to an absolute minimum, making things as efficient as possible with as little resources as possible.

 

Merchants who lived in Switzerland became worried for the most part, believing the economy will fail entirely. So they pushed for opening trade to every country willing. Over countless debates, it seemed not so much of a good idea with how desperate some other countries may be. Soon after the discussions  began and closed, a Black Market opened in remote places along the nation's borders. Most were in unseen areas by the Governments eyes, those that were seen, were ignored, most politicians simply wondering if this plan would work, if it failed then they would step in.

 

Military advisors  began work on fortifying the mountains and the roads and small paths leading into them. Knowing how desperate some countries could be, they highly suspected a threat to appear. It took only one meeting and vote for the plans to be approved. Construction of artillery platforms in the mountains was approved, along with artillery and turret production to begin, though in small numbers with the lack of metals.

 

Slowly, state affairs such as road work and construction along with building construction, became a popular  career. Being fairly simple jobs and tasks, the poor found it an easy way to go to earn a sustainable living. The rich found it as easy pickings, with the current depression being capable of paying near anything they pleased to those who desperately needed it.

 

President of Economics changes internal budget, spending most money now on education and healthcare, which is now free and equal to all people in the country. Funding is strengthened towards scientific discovery in hopes of finding a remedy to the crisis. Slight funding is even given to advance space flight.

 

The President of Defense issues a bill to increase all building security and for 2 troops to be at every business. Punishments for breaking the law now have but 3 punishments, 1: Labour, 2: Reimbursement, and 3: Death, all of which go only with certain crimes and their severity.

 

The Political President now issues proposals to larger nations such as the USA, Russia, and China. They offer financial aid to any foreign scientist, engineer, and doctor, to come to Switzerland free of charge and for anything they need to be paid for and given to them to further their research and developments.

The Russian Federation

 

The Russian Federation had experienced grand victories in the West. Rightful Russian lands were now under the federation, and their arch-enemy was having a taste of their own medicine: Revolution.Though, the Federation was doing far from well. Even though they still had the biggest oil and gas reserves of the entire continent, European imperialism was on the rise.

 

Vladimir Putin, being on his 6th term, stood before his people today in the bordering state of Khazakstan where the Soviet Union was remembered. Thus, he spoke.

 

 

"Comrades of Russia, friends of Khazakstan. Today we stand in a world that is not ours. As the European Continent is falling apart, we see a rise of discrimination and hostility towards our Slavic brothers in the Balkans and the West. They used to do this under the banner of a right cause, and now we witness where that 'right' cause has brought them. We of the Russian Federation have not complied to these Western imperialists, and I am proud that I could witness our victory during my presidency. The quest for the preservation of the slavic people shall remain strong and unwavering. That is why we will launch a pro-slavic campaign in the Balkans, putting those that merely decades ago slaughtered Orthodox brother in their rightful place. Many slavic states had fallen victim to various cultural opressors, committing unthinkable crimes to good people. People, that are our brothers. Therefore, in these dark times we must help our Slavic brothers in need. We must demand respect, respect that we have given other people for generations. This demand shall be non-negotiable, Russia shall remain to not bow her knee.

 

A Russian delegate is send to Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro under the 'Diktat' to unify each one into one functional state. These states must associate themselves as "Slavic" and have an Orthodox patriarch. A fund is prepared in case it is needed, while money is being raised by the many aristocrats who could benefit economically from a loyal Balkan peninsula.

 

 

In reaction to the Japanese proposal, a naval delegate is send to the island. The Russians distrusted the Japanese, remembering their undying loyalty to the United States of America. However, a diplomat is send to discuss the proposal in further depth.  The Russians wish to know the intentions of the Japanese with these islands, and what exactly the alliance would mean.

 

After some progressing talks between Portugal and Russia, the two nations have come to a respective agreement. Portugal would be diplomatically loyal to the Russian Federation, and open its economy for Russian investors. In return, Russia will supply weaponry and an advanced radar system for aircraft and missile detection. An economic forum will be hosted in Lisbon, where investors will discuss the economic plans for the country.

 

The American proposal is accepted, the Russians will steadily allow more investments in American naval industries. A joint military committee is proposed as well.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Russian PM Dimitri Medvedev signs a bill that would allow the construction of large Greenhouses in the Ukrainian region and around Moscow, the power generated through nuclear reactors that are to be renovated to have more power-output with the project. The aspirations for becoming a dominant agricultural exporter start to take shape.

 

 

Although protest against the cemented Putin-regime is all time high, the economy was well and hardened after a decade of sanctions and economic pressure. Russia became more self-sufficient, but wished for more economic dominance to keep afloat. The protests were not beneficial for the economy, nor the state of Russian society. In secret, the government decides to extend airtime for government commercials and constant media-output of its good accomplishments. The police are going to be put under the loop for potential reform as well. Russia must be united, under United Russia.

 

 

Meanwhile. The largest Russian oil companies like Rosneft,Gazprom and Lukoil are united with Russia's greatest sciencetists to work on a sustainable alternative to Oil. This, to secure Russian monopoly over the successor of oil like it currently has. This will be a long and expensive quest, but will be rewarding in the long term. {{12 pages}}.

 

Russian Prisoners are meanwhile levied and organized to be deployed as labor-squads, who will renovate the infrastructure and eletric grid for free in the future. The most dangerous prisoners will be exluded ofcourse. The military reserve of Russia will be responsible for overseeing the project.

Chaos: that was life in Sweden for a long time. The economy had floundered along with the rest of Europe, and a lot of Swedes were angry. With immigration into Sweden being high already, and the rise of Islamism, that anger was directed at Muslims and other non-European immigrants in the hearts of many. Neo-fascism began to rise in earnest at around 2022, and the Svenska nationalsocialistiska partiet (Swedish National Socialist Party) had come to be at the forefront of that after several mergers of smaller parties. By 1935 they had held 28% of the seats in the Riksdag. By 1937, the head of the party, Anders Natvik, was declared Prime Minister of Sweden with over 69% of Rikstag seats.

 

Within the first few months of his term, Anders dissolved the institution of the monarchy and enacted several laws that ensured his rule, renaming his title to Svenskhjalte. Rather swiftly, any Muslims, Africans, and Middle-Easterners are declared non-citizens, have their assets seized, and then deported. 

 

With extreme patriotism and nationalism comes militarism, it is almost inevitable. As such, the construction of a formidable Swedish military was a large part of the SNSP's manifesto. A first expansion into the Strålandekraft begins, with the plans as follows:

To support this a very organised work regime is devised, based upon that of the German Reich of 1933-1945. National work schemes are created, helping unemployed men and women into jobs, largely ones of labour. Construction of renewal energy sources such as hydroelectric dams, and wind farms are a focus, although infrastructure is a key part. State railways and motorways are expanded and modernised, with high-speed maglev monorails and automated traffic control so as to minimise congestion.

The Confederacy

 

Things in the United States of America had been spiraling ever downwards. Climate change and lowering resources had gone ignored, no one doing anything. Their only effort the levees, the federals had a lot to prove. Increasing taxes and loss of state power infuriated many, demanding local rule. Nothing was being done they argued, and America and her infrastructure were crumbling. Congress did nothing but grab for more power, and democracy -at least their form- was a failed experiment. Even with all this, people respected the Union and were trying to work within it. That's where the Confederacy comes in, a legal political party and corporate owner. They wanted state rights, if not total secession. Let people govern themselves, they know what is best. Instead of a far away inactive federal government, let people lead their fellow statesmen. Their beliefs were deeply embedded in the south, where they still remembered the first Confederacy. Racial tensions were high, adding to it all. Few stated outright they wanted slaves back, but many were not afraid to discriminate on blacks, muslims, and others. 

 

The Confederacy owned businesses in most of America's primary areas, through key members of the party. A lot of the money in infrastructure, they donated and had their companies maintain it in the south. Oil companies in foreign shores provided oil, and local wood companies harvested the forest carefully. Real estate was bought up, and common members of the party encouraged to move into developing communities. Transplanting people this way was typical, and used to spread their influence or boost Confederate friendly constituents. In congress they tried to pass laws such leaning towards state rights, with some success. In the past few years they managed to make the national guard far more in the states rule. They had it so a state could overrule a president's federalization of their militia. Some southern states such as Louisiana went so far as to officially name it the State Militia yet again. The sphere of power was mainly in the south, and the heart of the Confederacy in Louisiana. Outlying and northern states were contested for, people on both sides. Surprisingly, another stronghold of the Confederacy was based in California. 

 

The leader of the Confederacy political party is Jeb Goodman, from the state of Texas. He was heard to jokingly say he is the Yin to president Collier's yang. A devout christian, and also a human rights activist. Jeb lived on a large southern styled ranch in Texas, where he liked to spend his free time with his wife and family. Free time was scare however, as he became more involved in politics. He had rose to champion the Confederacy's cause, and had done so well. Their president was certainly Texan, but his own statesmen mainly refused to stand behind him. Jeb graciously sent word back to president Collier that he would entertain a meeting. Proposing to meet in Richmond, Virginia, he travels there by private jet. A subtle reminder of the past, paired with a not so subtle eruption of Confederate parades growing in Richmond. Firebrands moved in covertly to secure the area, but were sternly ordered to keep well away from the diplomatic meeting. Legality had to be observed, Jeb still hoped their was a way to get what he and his party wanted and stay within the constitution.

 

The CSA did not outright violate the constitution. They instead lobbied, acted in legality, participate politically, and influence and direct the public. There were others, unknown to most for that. No official name was given to a group not officially linked to the Confederacy. Labeled as 'The Firebrands' they are a terrorist and political organization. Actively trying to aid the secessionist cause, they did not always act outright. Right now, they were primarily focussed in big cities trying to fuel to the chaos. Actively seeking fights, inflaming racial tensions, and aggravating cops. Not proclaiming themselves Firebrands and instead acting as ordinary people, they were all just more people in growing conflicts. Their paramilitary were in Richmond and San Francisco, starting riots, killing political and military. In Richmond particularly the riots were bad, and the federal government was being blamed for them. Firebrands tried to create events that the U.S could be blamed for, an attempt to shift public opinion.

 

New Orleans was the unofficial capital of the CSA, and paramilitary Firebrands dared to even patrol some neighborhoods. The city has always been rich from trade and tourism, and was growing. San Francisco was being transplanted with more and more Confederacy friendly people, whole communities celebrating the cause. Guns and drugs flowed into Texas from Mexico, and the Firebrands were there to control the trade. Using this in turn to make or control criminal cartels, they spread their influence in the underworld. The guns primarily were distributed through out the Firebrands, arming their hardline followers. Warehouses and strongholds were stock piled with guns, in the inevitable time to arm the many in need.

"-- Diplomatic tension is on the rise as people are concerned over Putin's statement, claiming to put the "Muslim population" in its place. The concerns are comparable to Sweden, where muslim migrants were violently made second-class citizens. European analysts had predicted the rise of Islamaphobia and fascism decades back, some theories even implying that the revival of nationalism matching the imperialistic WW1 spirit is bound to happen. Is the return of this nationalism real and, how threathened should the Muslim population be? Live from Berlin, John Maersheimer."

 

 

"Well, we can easily say that a great powerplay is present in today's global politics. We already witnessed the fabrication of a Casus belli in the Balkans by Vladimir Putin, and the Japanese seeking confrontation with its enemy.  Each of these leaders have a certain pompous posture in the political world similiar to a peacock. This is dangerous, seeing how the Muslims start to be the scapegoat of the entire escapade.  It would be naive to believe that these leaders will not engage in armed conflict, but we have yet to see blocs arise."

In other news, The Eurovision Song Festival is to be held in Slovenia. Every nation is allowed to send in a candidate to do a performance and win a great honorary award that would make their people proud! The Jury nations will be:

- Japan

- The USA

- Portugal

 

These four nations will monitor whether the candidates are proper, and who can ascend into the final round where the victor will be decided through votes send in by the people of the entire world!

On behalf of the Sloveni people and her government, we thank you for this amazing opportunity to host one of the most important unifying festivities on the planet. Patriarchy of Portugal

 

The old Bishop smiles as russia sends weapons to Portugal, his smile grows bigger once the new reconstruction of the country starts.Once his news are given to him he goes to the balcony of his home near the Cathedral square, there thousands of people await the priests words.

 

"People of Portugal, children of God, a new age as started for our homeland. We rebuild our country. But do not blame this in anyone, because God as chosen you to lead this country to glory."

 

The people cheer with a miss of religious fervour and national pride-

 

"Your children shall live secured in this country, for our friends in the other side of the continent have sent us aid to keep our streets safe. I also want to announce that a new government shall be put in place, and that we shall send someone to the Eurovision."

 

After a pause the old Cardinal-Patriarch says with great pride.

 

"Pela pátria, por Deus, por PORTUGAL!"

 

The people cheer.

 

The patriarch retreats back to his apartment. He further discusses new regiments for the army, the restart of industry and the repair of houses damaged by the earthquake.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

With the passing of King Salman, the current king of Saudi Arabia is Muqrin. Saudi Arabia continues its practice of agnatic seniority. Muqrin is considered a liberal, a philosopher and a stargazer, which is starkly contrasted with his conservatist and traditionalist family. His heir is Muhammad bin Nayef, who is currently suffering from wounds after an attempted assassination. He is criticized for having waged proxy attacks on Iraq through the Syrian conflict.

Saudi Arabia continues to remain a conservative state. Women are considered children and do not have much presence. Female members of the royal family are under house arrest for protesting.

Saudi Arabia is and will continue to be one of the largest producers of oil, and it has maintained its impressive oil reserves over the years. This comes at the cost of food and water, as it has to import over 70% of its food consumption from foreign countries. Water is scarce and extremely valuable.

Allies: Saudi Arabia continues to be one of the United States chief allies in the middle east; however, this has diminished after failings to keep the Islamic Caliphate in check. It has no outstanding military partners, but it has economic allies in Turkey and OPEC.

Enemies: Saudi Arabia has tensions with Iran and the Islamic Caliphate. It does not support Israel due to their actions against the Palestinian people, but Saudi Arabia recognizes the United State's ties with Israel.

Military strength: Saudi Arabia consists of approximately 250,000 active personnel with the majority being in the army. Its small numbers is compensated by a modern, high-technology army as Saudi Arabia has been pumping money into military technology since the 1990s.

Economic Actions:

Saudi Arabia negotiates immediately with India in order to secure water, and it negotiates with Portugal for consistent food trade in exchange for oil reserves.

Military Actions:

Saudi Arabia begins to centralize its military, focusing on technological advances (Drones) for defense purposes.

The Peoples Republic

A mass of people were gathered together at the base of the Forbidden City. Everyone knew why they were there, yet they did not quite know how to react. Over the years, the people of China had faced many hardships. Yet, they had propsered to become one of the strongest nations in the world. They became respected and feared in the course of a mere century. They rose from ruin, to glory. Yet they knew, one could fall just as fast as they had risen. The Chinese leadership took steps to prevent this, and everyone eagerly waited. Unsure of what was in store for them in the near future. The only thing they could say for certain, is that China would propser.

 

At that moment, drums began to pound rythimcally and music began to play. The crowd instantly quieted down, and no one dared speak a word. The doors of Forbidden City opened, and out marched the man who would be crowned the emperor of China. In a highly controversial desicion, the leader of China, Aolie Mai had declared the revival of the ancient Tang Dynasty to usher in the new dawn of what shall surely be centuries of Chinese world dominace. He ceremoniasly changed his name to Mai Li, with the intent of bring back the power line that rules the Tang Dynasty. This was his coronation.

 

As the corwn was placed upon the now Emperors head, everyone in attendance bowed their head to their new leader as fireworks burst up, illiminating the night sky. Joyously music began to play as the festival began with traditonal chinese new years celebrations going on all over. Dragons went all around the streets much to the delight of the children, and many gifts were exchanged. The entirety of China was united together in the joy of their new Emperor.

The festivities wore on for several hours after the coronation was complete, but before the Emperor retired, he spoke to his people once more.

 

"I am now the Emperor of the greatest race of people that have ever lived. Merely a few decades ago we were mocked and made fools of by the very nations that today beg for our mercy and aide. I will be sure to do my ancestors proud, and carry us to GLORY! China will have a new diplomatic policy as well as several sweeping reforms in both our military and our economics. I will make China a force that will be reckoned with! Centuries from now, our great grandsons and daughters will remember us fondly, and know that THIS DAY is when it all started!"

 

And with that dramatic speech, the emperor turned and walked inside, as the crowd cheered wildly and applauded at his speech. Change was a foot.

 

Diplomacy:

Offers of trade are sent to the countries of Japan, Russia, India, Indochinese Union, South Korea, and the United States.

Economy:

Sweeping reforms are made, and China is now officially no longer a communist country. They have embraced the wonders of capitalism and increased the minimum wage to fifteen dollars. Taxes are at an all time high, and many changes are being made to both public facilities and services due to the high influx of money garnered from the raise in taxes.

Infrastructure:

Infrastrucutre projects are started all over China, as roads begin to start being built all over the central region of China. This is in an attempt to speed up the movement of vehicles and increase the overall quality of life in China. New buildings are being built in several cities as well to increase the amount of jobs available for the populace.

Military:

The Chinese military remains an undoutable powerhouse to be feared. Over the years China has improved the Naval capabilities as well as the overall training of their Armed Forces. As opposed to previous regimes, the Chinese military has changed its policy to quality, not quantity. Though there still is sure are a hell of a lot of troops.

The Russian Federation

 

 

 

The Summit with Germany went excellent, as several trade and private agreements were reached between the two aspiring nations. Russia became active on the diplomatic field once again, but it was only the beginning. Russian investors begin to pour in, establishing business that once left due to the 2015 sanctions. Trade would increase over the course of time.

 

 

The Russian army had long modernized, but was stuck with many old vehicles from the beginning of the Putin regime. Portugal had proven to be a very beneficial partner, and for that it was given several battalions of these unused vehicles. The package consists mostly of artillery and blueprints to Russia's newest radar system. Meanwhile, a trade goal of 4 Billion has been set, Experimental Russian goods start pouring in the shops of Portugal. Cheap to be produced, expensive to be bought, but their actual quality remains yet to be seen.

 

 

Putin approves of all trading agreements, but seemed to have an increasing interest in working together with the now Capitalist China. He went to the economic forum "Russia forward!" where a journalist asked about his intentions with China, he replied:

 

"During the beginning of my presidency I was happy to say that China was an essential and strong partner of Russia. Many of our joint projects are still functional today, though our trading has unfortunately decreased over the past decade. What made both our nations so strong, should be done again. Unification of both of our strong and proud nations would result into a more Eastern-influenced market. It will be interesting to see how this Capitalist China will handle its past partners, I can merely hope the new government recognizes our almost ancient partnership."

 

 

460.000 capable prisoners have been deployed throughout Russia, renovating former Soviet Factories and grids. This project would be quick with the technology of today, but quite costly. The many factories will mass produce military equipment, which are hoped to be powered by the renovated grid. Though, the construction of new nuclear plants are going slower as expected. The power goes out much more than it used to. This will sincerely harm the military production of Russia until an alternative, or repair is found. {{3 pages}}.

 

 

The United Slav Fund had been used in the short interval between diplomatic actions. A new political movement arose throughout the Balkans, funded by Russian and other secretive investors. With excessive propaganda and campaigns they managed to capture the hearts of the Serbian-Montenegranian republic {Player approved}. Other nations like Croatia and Macedon seem to be keen on these new, fresh politicians since there is a lack for better. Though, Slovenian pride that arose due to the Eurovision and the Kosovo sympathy for the USA did not bring much good for the United Slav party. Though, elections are drawing near.

 

 

Meanwhile in Moscow, the remembrance of the Soviet Union is ongoing. Although support for Communism had decayed into absence, polls show that the Russian people would like to see their rightful territories back. It was quite a sentimental topic in Russia, not all supported a grand Slavic reunion. Some even feared the revival of the Soviet Union.

Though, the remnants of Ukraine and the states of Belarus and Estonia are asked to peacefully annex themselves under Russia. In return they would become an autonomous republic with representation and an elected president. If they decline, Russia will have to use force, and those privileges will not be given.

United States of America

 

As money was poured into social infrastructure, President Collier felt little satisfaction. It wasn't enough. The stubbornness of the many political parties was doing a great job at ruining the country instead of fixing it. His influence in Congress was legendary and his popularity among his people continued to rise. This was due to the fact that he was the first president during the course of the disaster that managed to get past conflicted politicians and get something done - the Levies. He had also managed to promote various bills throughout the House floor that reformed education and social infrastructure. He was so far conflicted on the issue of State's rights, since he was a follower of the works of Thomas Jefferson, but at the same time, Federalist Alexander Hamilton.

 

 

However, now, Congress was being as stubborn as ever. To stay alive, the U.S needed to assert itself globally once more, and Congress was extremely conflicted about this ideal. Collier didn't have enough support to get this bill passed alone. He needed the Confederate party to side with him as well as support a strong Federal government, but in order to that, he needed to compromise. The President is delighted at Mr. Goodman's response and flies to Richmond to meet with him. ((The Meeting will be done through PMs))

 

 

Collier also watches the situation in Europe very closely. Disgusted at what the Swedes had turned into, and how their actions might influence the more conservative members of CSA states, he turned to the only European countries he knew would preserve democracy in Europe - the British and the Swiss. The Swiss offer intrigued him. He sent America's most expert economists, Axel Rain and Vijay Bhattaru to Switzerland. He extends his hand at the Swiss and offers them a defensive alliance - that if they're attacked or invaded by a foreign force, the United States would do everything in its power to help them. However, the offer is contingent on the Swiss stance against the fascist movement in Sweden. A military alliance request is sent to the United Kingdom.

 

 

 

For the first time since the WWII, an American president agrees to the military proposal from the Russians. Collier grew up hearing stories about how ungrateful the Europeans were and how Americans were ridiculed even when rebuilding many devastated countries. He developed a prejudice against the Europeans, so diplomacy with them was difficult for him. However, he bore no ill-will against the Slavic people in Russia and the Baltic states. Although the U.S had a completely different ideology than the Russians, and an entire Cold War had been endured that shook mankind as much as it improved it, Collier respected the Russians. They had radical beliefs at times, but so did Americans. And they were able to get stuff done, through whatever means necessary. He admired their will. He was public about his support for the new Russian government, and people had been caught chanting that Collier had the blood of a German, the stomach of a Russian, and the heart of an American. Overtime, the President is interested into turning this proposal into a negotiable military pact and a gradual alliance with the Russians.

 

 

America's military had largely stagnated and slowly started to deteriorate since the climate change. However, it was still an extremely offensive force, and its Navy was its crown jewel. The U.S pours more money into defense spending. It is minute at first, but as more money is saved and redirected, it will eventually bolster it back to health. Collier also starts to influence politicians to combine political parties. The less political parties there are, the easier it is to pass bills.
