The Confederacy

 

California claiming it's independence shocked and invigorated Confederates throughout the U.S. They were disgusted at Jeb's turn to federalist status, and he was kicked out as Confederate party leader. Radical Elijah Wintersun was elected new leader, and he clamored for the states to hear his opening speech. All of the United States tuned it, wondering what a radical Confederate could possibly mean to do.

 

"What brings me here today is something not to be taken lightly. California was the first to rise against the federalist, and I intend it to not be the last- quite the opposite-. They prove their justification, and have tried to leave a Union they no longer believe in. So the U.S dredges up an old law, and enacts it. Their invasion of California is justified but still horrible. What I call to my fellow Confederates and states is this, secede from the union. *A brief pause as he allows the world to be shocked* As Confederate party leader I enact our secession plan, and call for every person to listen to their state leaders. Even now I'm sure forces will mobilize against us, and we must be ready. I shall leave now to begin our great plans, but I ask every true Confederate and southerner to support this endeavor whole heartedly. A civil war is no dandy prospect, but the U.S started it when they marched on California before trying for diplomacy. We will rise."

 

Everyone was shocked, things had seemed to be going so well. Jeb Goodman was tilted off the pedestal, abandoned by his fellow Confederates and mistrusted but the federalist. He would resign as secretary of state, and retire to his ranch in Texas. All the states eyed each other, seeing what they would do. Louisiana was the first to seceded, and formed the Confederate States of America (CSA). State Militia led by veteran officers loyal to their state for the most part rose with Louisiana, and seized all the important cities. Other states soon followed secession and were admitted into the CSA, being, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, New Mexico, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Kansas. It would be an utter shock that so many seceded and joined the CSA, one that could prove deadly. Standing together, they formed a basic plan;

 

An emergency government is established in New Orleans, to lead the fledgeling nation. Commanding the newly formed Confederate People's National Army (CPNA), comprised mainly of State Militia leading droves of newly enlisted Confederate's. They were armed from the multiple warehouses and strongholds carefully being built up by Firebrands. The guns were of modern technology and armament, multiple foreign benefactors seeing they would have more guns then men. They would seize and stabilize all the major Confederate cities, and quickly move into to surround and isolate federal troops. Not opening fire or engaging, they would merely surround them and wait for Collier's response. Acting quick had denied the Federal's advantage to muster their men, and communication lines were blocked or cut. Leaving them alone and small, they would merely sit tight in their outpost, waiting to see what happened.

 

Firebrands would lead groups of militia and volunteers, on special task to secure the rivers running through the new nation. Riverboats armed with whatever could be put on them patrolled the waters. Advanced river assault vessels from a foreign benefactor were very small in number but used effectively. The CSA emergency government passed multiple acts, giving each state it's own full rights and ability to draft their own laws. Mandatory taxes of troops, supplies, and money would remain so the new emergency government could win any civil war. After that, the nation would begin to actually figure out how to run their Confederation, but for now they needed a united front. The people believed they had the moral high ground against the U.S, and began to enlist. Large flocks of untrained troops were armed, and put to training. Undergoing intense and fast training, they were getting all they could get before the U.S inevitably invaded. Army regiments actually came over to the Confederate's turning their backs on the Union. Mainly in the south, they applied their expertise to the ongoing training.

 

Firebrands would play off the new fears and start riots across the remaining Union states, some even trying to push them into secession. In Panama they effectively established themselves and are tipping the balance in rebel favor against the government. In the UK the tensions remain high especially as the nation goes to war. People claimed the royalist attempts at compromise was not enough, and protested and had sit ins at factories, slowing war production. Firebrands instigated fights with UK officials, adding to the growing violence. In Russia, the Firebrands merged with an already rioting populace. Escalating things further, they also began to open the Russian people's eyes to how truly imperialist Putin was.

 

The CSA called upon president Collier to merely let the new nation be, and they would to his. People who wanted to be in the Union, army regiments, and political figures would be allowed a safe cordon to the U.S. The Emergency government hinted at partnership, but they would no longer work under the United States. The emergency government also calls on every nation to officially recognize them as a nation, and potentially offer diplomatic pacts.

The Islamic Caliphate

The Arabian border: an outpost in the desert

All is quiet on the southern border, and yet nothing is. For months, the caliphate has been showing its strength with military drills along the fence, but in the last few hours things have seemed different. In several spots along the border, groups of black-clad infantry have amassed, seeming to stand perfectly still, staring down the chainlink barrier in front of them. Here, the group seems especially large. They stand there for what seems like an eternity, until finally, one shouts so loud it can be clearly heard by the small numbers of Arabs who stand on the other side.

"Allahu Akbar!"

The cry is soon taken up by the rest of the force, becoming a cacophony, then a thunderous roar. From the middle of the masses of infantry come three M1 Abrams tanks, left over from the failed UN invasion years ago. As the unstoppable juggernauts hurtle towards the fence, the whooping army of jihad charges forward in vehicles and on foot, a sudden hail of artillery fire falling on the Arabic side. The defenders barely have time to react before the fences are torn down under tank treads, letting in the rest of the Caliphate horde. Once inside, they are far more disciplined than they appeared in their charge, taking cover when possible and shooting to kill, not merely to intimidate. Arabic lines are smashed by the American tanks, which are nearly impossible to destroy except by direct heavy artillery hit. The sword of Allah has arrived at last.

Similar attacks occur all along the border, the first wave consisting of 50,000 men, with another 300,000 ready to deploy when the need arises. Within days, Turkish troops also arrive to assist the Caliph's forces.(Refer to snoop for confirmation.) While the Turkish Air Force remains undeployed, the Caliph's fighters focus on protecting ground forces, taking relatively few risks in the process. As news of the border crossing spreads, a message is sent to the Saudi king:

"To the false ruler of Arabia,
The choice that presents itself to you is the same that presented itself to your predecessor. As you have been made aware, the Islamic Caliphate has been reestablished, and no true muslim can stand to see you hold the holy city of Mecca whilst denying its authority. You have one final chance for redemption: immediately and unconditionally swear allegiance to the Caliph, and your dynasty shall remain the rulers of Arabia and custodians of the holy city. If you resist, however, a far worse fate awaits you. The House of Saud shall be exiled from all true muslim lands, executed if they try to remain, and denied hajj from now until the end of time. Arabia shall fall under the supreme rule of the Caliph, and your entire legacy will be erased from history. Do not test this. There will be no further mercy.

The normal tyranny of the Caliphate falls lightly on Turkey, the largest and first willing nation to join the Caliph in his great jihad. The government largely is allowed to remain intact, and no demands are made on the Turkish ruler. The Caliph privately recommends, however, that Sharia law be established and that infidels be taxed, rather than eliminated as has largely been done in the heartland of the Caliphate.

The parts of the insurgency backed by the Islamic state in India begin to seemingly fade away. In reality, it is a move to retain influence with the jihadis there for a time when it will be useful. Agents from the Middle East arrive secretly and begin to build organized networks of sleeper cells, an undetectable web of spies and fighters which will slowly gain power the longer the Caliph's agents work. Their main center of power is in Kashmir, where Muslims are concentrated. A similar tactic is put to work in Indonesia, a country so densely populated by Muslims that it is not too hard to find recruits.

The Khedivate of Egypt

 

The state of the world as it seemed to Egypt's citizens and governing body was a bleak one. War had suddenly sprung up once again, but the most wide spread fighting had commenced not in the usual undeveloped areas, but that of the west. The very powers that represented relative stability and peace now war with one another over petty differences. This came as a sign to Egypt, a sign that in this world of turmoil, Egypt must adapt and overcome. Thus Egypt once again stepped into the world stage.

 

The rapid expansion of extremist Islam had over the course of decades degraded the militant government's less then favorable views of extremists. Now, they found that the region was plagued with them, but such things could be turned around and used as a tool. As such, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces had taken it upon themselves to align with similar minded states, chiefly the very state that embodied extremist ideals; the Islamic Caliphate.

 

A series of diplomatic encounters with the Caliphate and its allies results in the reigning head of state, General Sedki Enan, to pledge Egyptian allegiance to the Caliphate. Though Enan thoroughly knew that Egypt and its citizens could never exactly deal the same harsh sentences as the Caliphate, he reasoned the political move would secure the nation as a power in the region and found it to be rather convenient. With this newly formed web of alliances, the Khedive was free to strongman the region.

The Egyptian military with its expansive industry and modern armed forces was a power to be reckoned with. Years of foreign aid primarily from the U.S. had replaced virtually its entire aging Soviet era technology in favor of far more modern western variants. Along with this, a great deal of military industry has also been set up in prior years, once again in due part to U.S. foreign aid.

 

Heavy output of propaganda begins to flow throughout the country in effort to bolster its forces. The construction of several more factories and manufacturerment of further weapons and vehicles begins. Shipyards also begin construction.

The mobilization of over 100,000 soldiers as well as an accompaniment of 300 tanks and various artillery pieces slowly makes its way to the border. To the growing fear of Sudanese border guards, the grand force slowly piles up by the border. Looking to the skies, jets fly close by, waiting. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, the bulk of the invasion force has arrived, and a full scaled invasion begins. Bombers and fighters fly above, heading for key positions.

 

With Sudan crippled from its fight with the break away nation of South Sudan, the general consensus was that occupation would be achieved in a timely matter with minimal casualties. The former Egyptian territory would once again be in rightful hands.

High Chancellorship of Portugal

 

The High Chancellor frowns as he sits in the warcamp in the country side spain near Madrid. "It seems the french have came to help the italians...No worries we have the Brittish and the Spainiards on our side." He says looking at his generals and army staff. "The french tried three times and failed to conquer our nations, they won't succed this time." He stands up and starts planning army movement, until a young officer says that the French have a offer to seat down and talk. "Bah! They think we've surrendered? We'll talk once the French and Italians prime ministers order their soldiers to leave." He stands up and continues his planning dismissing the young officer. Portuguese and Spainish generals work together while the English generals are told to devise their own plan and to then comuniucate with Hispano-Lusitanian forces.

 

Troop movement:

 

Red: 50.000 infantry with russian grade weapons, 200 SPGs 400 AFVs, they are entrenched with in the area and should hold French advancements until the line is broken, they also have heavy aircraft assistance.

 

Green: 50.000 infantry with russian grade weapons. 150 SPGs, 300 AFVs, they attempt to divide the two main strongholds (The pink circles are italian strongholds), since there is no main force there it should hold.

 

Blue: 106.000 infantry with russian grade weapons, 130 tanks 30 of which are T-94s, 159 SPGs, 200 AFVs, they also move 20 Fighters/interceptors to patrol the skies. They attempt to break one of the Italians main forces.

 

Economic movement

 

To make the country still producing goods they employ many of the Spainish troops (Now reserves) in industry/agriculture they are paid the same a normal worker would.

The Invasion of Iberia

 

 

The southern offensive was smashed by the Iberian-English push, however the larger forces in the North recieved critical reinforcements from Italy and France, smashing the enemies upon the border. Together a combined force of 150,000 soldiers, 200 tanks, and 1,000 Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) march towards the capital to try and capture Madrid. Meanwhile a force of 5,000 alpini special forces and 100 tanks patrol the mountain passes, destroying roads and laying traps to defeat a "mountain guerilla group", however the real reason is not released to the public. It had taken some convincing but the French agreed to continue their offensive as if they did not put down Iberia they would have another enemy to the South. Once the war was won Italy would return across the mountains with the French to fend off the Germans.  As the battle rages across central-Iberia, a treaty is proposed. 

To Portugal

This bloodshed can easily come to an end if you agree to these terms.

Central and Eastern Spain is ceded to Italian occupation. 

The Northern Coast is given to the French.

A non-aggresion pact is signed between Portugal and Italia.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

 

Saudi Arabian News Report:

 

ISIS reportedly is planning to take over the city of Arar in Saudi Arabia, which is very close to the Iraq border. It is a fifteen-hour drive away from Mecca, the site of the Hajj pilgrimage which all observant Muslims are expected to do at least once.

If indeed the statement is from an ISIS member, it's a shocking one even for them, considering that ISIS has been attempting to increase recruitment from Muslims worldwide by declaring the restoration of an Islamic Caliphate.

 

According to John L. Esposito, Professor of Religion and International Affairs and of Islamic Studies at Georgetown University, "In terms of legitimacy- unless you're someone who's ready to join a terrorist group at this point, for the vast majority of Muslims there is no legitimacy with this group." This most recent threat reinforces Esposito's point, particularly as it comes during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Saudi Arabian Response:

King Murqin addresses the people of Saudi Arabia, "In the name of Allah, the Merciful and praise be to Allah who says "Everyone upon the earth will perish. And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor," bless our troops and let us begin to repel these infidels from our lands, as well as their Turkish shia allies who, despite only being a minority in a Sunni-dominanted country, have joined the Caliphate. We will destroy them and their false hersesy!"

 

Econmic Actions:

Saudi Arabia transports shipments of oil in exchange for food and water through The United Kingdoms and The United States. Without any threat in the southern demense, these transports will continue which secures Saudi Arabia's necessities. 

 

Military Actions:

Saudi Arabia expedites the strengthening of the northern border, as it has been for the past thirty years, focusing primarily on key cities and defensive positions. The Islamic Caliphate would meet a heavily armed border on their march. Well-trained, highly equipped soldiers strengthen cities along the border and prepare for siege. 

 

As the north is being defended, Saudi Arabia sends troops north through Khafji to infiltrate the Islamic Caliphate, disrupt supply lines, and stifle their advance. 

 

Requests for aid are sent to all Sunni states, as well as The United States and The United Kingdoms whom Saudi Arabia is trading with currently. 

 

 

Shrieks fill the air, not from man, but from the sky. As Saudi Arabian troops prepare the defense of key cities, a new war has begun. Drones bombard the encroaching enemies, attempting to pummel the tanks as they storm the northern border. The Saudi Arabian troops seem content to garrison important locations as the Islamic Caliphate takes the northern border.

Republic of Poland

 

As Poland got trading and enocomy benefits from countries they have requested, as well as tourism increased by announcement of more merchanting and trading into Poland. The new money converting system has made foreign money into slightly more cash in Poland.  The financial aid were used to repair economic damages for companies, funding etc but quarter of the money was used to pay the troops as a bonus from President Tyminski for serving the country proudly in these peaceful times.

 

Poland's Ministry of National Defense began making preparations onto the Poland-Russia borders as it was issued that the borders are to be highly militarize, and issues increase searching of anyone entering the country land and air. The borders are to be patrolled by a large day crew and night crew 24/7. The RM-70 multiple rocket launchers were to stealth approach the borders on Poland's land as well as plenty of anti-tank equipment and anti-air as possible.

 

Scienceists and companies that are into drone development were asked to keep developing drones for anti-tank purposes as well, and Poland's President want the 'Bee' drones to be massively produced for the incoming wars.

 

 

To Russia, President Tyminski requested for Highly explosive inter-continental missiles, Poland gathered from his intellgenence to not be pointed at Poland as it seems like a aggressive act and making Polish people uneasy and going against the non-aggressive pact. A one to one video conference is recommended if Russian leader wants to clear this matter up.

 

Talks are to be made with Ukraine for a Defensive Pact, as in the past Poland and Ukraine relations has been strong. They need to be stronger now since Russia is claiming all Slavic countries and Poland always been defending Ukraine from the Russians. Not caring if they are under Russia control already ((not sure if are)). To support Ukraine, Poland send aid to help repair the damage and help ease the crisis it may have caused. A request of being joined together or military alliance and trading agreement offered to Czech Republic and Slovakia in these times of approaching war. Poland warns them, if Poland was to fall. Baltic Sea Confederation

 

The formation of the Confederation was rather sudden. With several states under the threat of Russian aggression, they banded together to form a single cohesive unit, the Baltic Sea Confederation, composed of Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, and Sweden, who led the Confederation. 

 

The first action that is made is the institution of National Socialism in each of the new member states. Similar to Sweden, Muslims, Africans, and Middle Easterners are deported, with the use of violence to do so completely out of the question. Additionally, ethnic Russians and Belarusians are deported back to their own countries, again without the use of violence. All of them are given monetary recompense in the Russian Ruble. Russia is sent a message in accompaniment, stating: 

 

"Your people are returned home to you and yours, rejoice!"

 

Furthermore, the national work programmes are also put into effect in the new member states of the BSC. Although a lot of jobs are freed up by the deportations, any remaining unemployed are put into labour schemes to build clean power, such as hydroelectric dams, and tidal generators, as well as performing agricultural work. 

 

Wind farm clusters are also built in the North Baltic, but are placed so as not to obstruct maritime and naval vessels' routes.

 

 

Military actions

 

The military of all three new member nations is integrated into the Swedes', forming the BSC Defence Force. The historically defensive and resilient Finns are used to train the rest of the military in guerilla / defensive warfare, especially for cold and snowy conditions, and a training scheme is launched so that every citizen is able to effectively wield a weapon.

 

With the Italian invasion of Spain, diplomatic ties are severed. A small fleet of transport planes are loaded up with 1000 Finnish Commandos and supplies. As they take off, a message is relayed to all ((players)) nations.

 

"No nation shall be subjugated on this day. Long live the Baltic Confederation! Long live El Reino de España!"

 

The fleet flies towards the Piriness, at which point they will split into groups of roughly 333 and airdrop onto the mountain range at three of the main passes: Candanchu, Puigcerda, and Le Perthus, where they will fortify and attempt to prevent and hinder French advance and supplies into Spain. 

 

 

Another message is relayed to Saudi Arabia:

 

"Let none stand alone, your enemies are ours. Long live the Baltic Confederation! Long live al-Arabiyah as-Sa'ūdiyah!"

 

Another contingent of 2,500 Swedish commandos fly south and land at the Saudi capital of Riyadh. They are placed at the disposal of the Saudi Arabian government.

 

 

The cyber-attack on the Baltic Confederation's communications is investigated in order to acquire the source. [Mod please]

 

Diplomatic Actions:

 

A public demand is sent to Russia to release the Swedish national, or face further diplomatic action. They ask on what charges was the reporter put to trial, and state that he should be tried on them in Sweden, not the Russian Federation.

 

The allegations that the Baltic Confederation had been staging cyber-attacks on the Russians are denied, and the Russian government is asked to present evidence. The military communications data is published on the internet ((no content, just times and locations of communications)) are published so as to show a lack of any action by the Baltic Confederation.

 

A defensive pact offer is put to Poland.

The Russian Federation

 

The powergrid came back on after British engineers helped the panicking Russians with the reset, it was from that point that the government knew it had to become more active in the foreign scene. With France succumbing and Italy pushing back a Russian ally, it was essential for Italy to cease its mobilization.  It was time for Russia to stop the madness. As the citizens of the European hemisphere would turn their televisions on, a remarkable declaration would be witnessed by the Russian president.

 

 

"---The Russian Federation condemns the Baltic imperialist attempt to subjugate the now Portuguese Spain under their fascist wing with the rogue Republic of France. This leaves Russia no other choice but to join the war effort of her allies Germany and Portugal, securing Russian stability in the region. We shall ensure Spain remains in the right hands, and that France can never grab arms for a fascist cause again."

 

 

- 20 Gunships are deployed from Kaliningrad, going straight for refueling in London as they afterwards start their offensive in Paris and coastal areas. Supporting the German offensive. They would target government structures and mobile troops, trying to break up the French defense.

 

 

- 50,000 Parachutists are deployed from Kaliningrad as well, following the Gunship's route.  This mobilization was quick due to the army still being at the borders.  20,000 would eventually be dropped over the Provence region, other 30,000 being deployed in the center of Paris. France is send a message to either surrender and still have their republic preserved, or face reinforcements from both offensives. L'etat c'est moi.

 

 

The French were quite easy to get to protest against their government. Propaganda campaigns and the release of false outrageous documents about their president was enough reason to demand the surrender and abdication of their government, they brought the republic in an unwinable war either way. Mostly the French socialists gain a spark, being the most violent protestors.

 

 

Portugal meanwhile receives a shipment of several MSTA 2S9 Artillery vehicles with Neutron shells, intended to be used against Italian troops in the cities. Italy is demanded to retreat or face actions from Russia as well.

 

 

Polish relations went downhill. However, Putin promised Poland that if it did not side with Sweden and left Ukraine alone, it will be protected and even invested in by Russia. It condemns Sweden for attempting to influence weaker nations to turn to such a scandalous path.

 

The Estonian situation is brought under control, and the construction of missile launching platforms begin. The sanctions on the remaining Baltic independents are worsened, their imports of food nearly non-existent from Russia. Sweden had to pay up, or leave them to starve. The 100,000 troops retreat into Kaliningrad before the Russian mobilization, helping with the preparations of the many airplanes put in use.

 

The IMU was quite beneficial for Russia and Germany. Both strong industries started to flood and dominate other markets. It perhaps made other IMU members more dependent on both nations, Russia wished to increase more economic coorperation between the states. Suggesting an economic forum to be held in London.

 

What Russia couldn't ignore however, was the rising voice of the Communist Opposition. Protests became larger, more violent and demanding. The Russian government would try to find a solution to appease.

Republic of Poland

Reaction post

 

As President Tyminski is underway to Ulraine for defensive diplomacy reasons, he responds to Sweden and Russian responses.

 

To Sweden/Baltic Sea Confederation, the Defensive pact was refused but Poland will remain neutral and will not interfere with the Baltic Sea Confederation unless they attacked Poland's allies. Poland is already in diplomatic crisis with a big nation, they desire no other big problems from others.

 

To Russia, Poland will not be invested into Russia and they will continue into affairs of Ulraine as they are Poland's former allies. President Tyminski stated "We will remain to have our independence, all smaller nations have a choice. If you seek to protect Poland, do it without taking smaller nations freedom to speak their voice."

The Peoples Republic

 

Diplomacy:

News reports filter in all over China, keeping everyone updated on the current afairs of currently going on all over Europe. China applauds the formation of the Baltic Sea Confederation, labeling it as a step towards the right direction. Any steps taken to halt the constant progress of Imperialism shall be applauded, and the Chinese Empire is willing to discuss furthering our diplomatic relations with the Confederation. China publicly condems the actions of the Russian Empire, as they respond to the invasion of Iberia. The official statement is,

 

"While the Chinese Empire is as venomently opposed to Imperialism as the Russian Federation seems to be, China disagrees with the philosiphy of putting boots on the ground. This seems counter intutive to the peace processes, and will only seek to agravate the current situation. The only people that have to gain from this enterprise is Russia itself in aiding its ally Portugal. An ultimatum is handed to Russia, pull out of the Iberian peninsula or cut off all ties with the Eastern Bloc. Your attempts at undermining us at every step have not gone unnoticed, and your sudden sanctions against our fair nations have only suggested ill will between what could be a propserous alliance between Russia and the Eastern Bloc. This is the formal response from all the nations represented in the Eastern Bloc."

 

China continues to condem the nations of Italy and now France for their actions in Iberia. Sanctions are doubled down on, and the Eastern Bloc is still waiting on a response from the forces invading Iberia.

 

Economy:

The rapid improvement of the Chinese economy has stagnated, and it has seemed to reach a plateau. China continues to move along, though the cut off from trade by Russia is felt, and experts predict a rise in prices once the sanctions on both Italy and France come into affect. Nothing overly dramatic has changed short of the stagnation of the Chinese economy. Nothing major is felt by the Chinese populace.
 

Infrastructure:

As infrastrucutre projects begin to come to a close, the Emperorship claims it to be a roaring succesess. Several new high ways have opened up all over China, connecting all major cities together. Emperor Mai Li releases a statement,

 

"After many months of hard work, I am proud to say that we have built up an infrastructure to be proud of. I know that it is not the most popular subject to speak of, but our glirous nation is not one to shy away challenge. We will improve every aspect of China, and become a modern power in the world that will no longer be scoffed at, but respected by all. I believe these changes in our infrastructure have thoroughly improved the standard of life for all Chinese citizens, and I hope you all may be at rest, that the money you give to us in your taxes, is being put to good use."

 

Military:

As warfare and strife continues to plague the world, the Peoples Liberation Army will be forced to increase in size to combat the constant threat of foriegn powers. Propaganda is sewn all through out the news, and numerous benefits are to be handed out to any and all that choose to enlist in the army for this short period of time. Many people, heartened by their nations short term successes and interested in the benefits being offered for a limited time. The ranks of the PLA swell, and 100,000 new Infantry are under training. Soon their training shall be complete. New orders are also being sent in to factories all across china, and the construction of a 1,000 Tanks and 2,500 AFV's are to begin immedieatly. The latter of these two projects may take a while to complete, but China is determined to ensuring the saftey its country in the long term.

Russia was quick to react to the Chinese. As the ultimatum was set, the negotiation table was already occupied. Russia fortunately was the medium between the Portuguese and the Italians. It was agreed upon to cede several provinces to Italy, in return of more gain in the French region.

As the Russian delegation of artillery and aircraft retreat, they move to join the French war effort.  However, Russia did not pass silent.

 

 

"Imperialism is not on the agenda of the Russian Federation, nor we have been imperialist in our foreign policy. While the Baltic Federation armed National-Socialist activists to the teeth, they did not hessistate to perform cyber offensives on the Federation. We joined the Iberian war effort for a single reason, that being to ensure the process goes fair and smooth. Although we couldn't preserve an independent Spain, we did manage to avoid a total war, which it was certainly escalating to.

 

Did Russia do wrong in Iberia? Is the war effort in France just? In the eyes of the Russians, it is. For we have witnessed how America tried to do the exact same thing in the Middle-east, only to fail horribly. Russia had been silent and preserving its own borders as the American Eagle clenched its claws into more and more land. We know how dangerous influential attacks can be. Secondly, who can trust minor European states in handling sudden grand expansion? It is the arrogance of empires that made them fall in the first place. We do not deny that we wish to have mattering influence in European politics, but it is for the better. Our business in Iberia is done, and peace is now back between the two respective States of Portugal and Italy. Something I'd doubt others could accomplish.

 

Our European partners have contributed greatly to increase the stabilization of the region. I wish to endorse the United Kingdom, Germany and Portugal for their great diplomatic sacrifice. They do not see our increase of influence as imperialism, but as an necessity. We want our Chinese partners to see it the same way. We do not enjoy sanctioning the Baltic Federation, we do not enjoy sending Russian young to fight foreign wars. Unlike the former American Empire, we do not tell our people that they are chosen to do so. It is outrageous perhaps, from our government to send in our troops. But who else? Who else can be the bear that places its paw in front of imperialism wherever it needs to be. What other nation can possibly unite the European states in the way Russia did?

 

I understand the controversy surrounding the annexation of Estonia, but it is something that is more complex than the Chinese Empire would like to think. Estonia belonged to the Soviet Union long ago. We gave it industry, we gave it purpose. The Russians bled their industry into the countries who had none. Communism may have had a bad system, but it is the very thing that allowed other countries to be productive. Estonia, was one of them. After our rather hostile departure during the collapse of the Soviet Union, Estonia had discriminated the Russian minorities for decades. They would bend over to the United States, host military drills on our borders. They would condemn my regime , call me a satanic being. It is not just a personal thing for me, it is personal for the Russians. We want to preserve our historic bond with Estonia, we want it to be free. As an independent state, it wasn't free. But as a republic under our federation, it is. Think about it, what did it lose? It still has their own elected president that decides the policy in the region, they still control their own economy and regiment. They have their own police, language and education. They are still Estonia, but not affected by the Imperial influence sphere. They can now enjoy stability, prosperity and connectivity. They are now a republic apart of the IMU, the greatest economic union the world has ever seen so far!

 

Thus , I question whether the statement from the Chinese are right. Is Russia imperialist? Or are we performing necessary evils? We hope that our Chinese partners will debate this rationally as we negotiate closer union, hopefully returning the prosperous BRICS days."

The United Federation of Iberia

 

The Church bells rang in Madrid and Lisbon, soldiers standed guard as the bells rang. Once they stopped the High chancellor appeared in Lisbon and in Madrid a Spainish General. "Peace!" The troops all shout in unisum. "HORAH HORAH HORAH!" A russian style military parade. They hold a new flag. 

 

 

 

Then in Lisbon a figure with a crown in his head. In Lisbon he appears in person in Madrid he appears in a big screen in Madrid's big screen.

"People of Iberia. I, King Afonso de Santa Maria de Bragança solemnly swear to up hold the rights of citizen ship of the kingdoms of Portugal, Galizia, Algarve, Castila and Leon. I swear to let them have autonomy till the end of times. I swear to protect them from any and all threats inside or outside the country. I swear to uphold the Laws of God and his most noble and holy church. From now and forever."

The soldiers once more shout. "HORRAH HORRAG HORRAH!" They continue the parade.

The people are suprized that they have a king, Afonso is wedded to a spainish princes thus making the houses united. The people are unsure at first but most then cheer.

 

The High Chancellor now acts as a euconomic leader very much like a prime minister. And the house of chancellors like a parliment. Lord regents for every province exept Galiza and Portugal those are under the direct rule of the King. The country continues on economic groth even if they are at war they still make a profit with the relentless work of the people.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITTAIN

 

 

The British General grins after hearing about the newly negotiated peace.

 

Now it was time for France to pay for turning Imperialist.

 

 

The RAF would continue to provide air support to the Iberian and British forces, continuing to battle the French Air Force fighters and bombers.

 

The Iberians and the British would, however, surge forward across the new Portuguese territories, the British heading along the Western Coast of France towards Normandy, and the Iberians pushing forward into the country as well, backing up the expeditionary force. British tanks and armored infantry spearhead the assault.

 

 

Prime Minister Edward Leigh of Great Britain addresses the United Kingdom over Television.

 

"People of Great Britain, we have won a great victory today. But we aren't out of the woods yet.

 

We must continue the good fight in France, alongside our Russian, German, and Portuguese allies. Why, you might ask? Are they not a democratically-run nation, like us?

Unfortunently, they are not. The Fifth Republic is but a democratic guise for power; the French President is nothing more than an imperialist dictator, who would have gladly taken a chunk out of Iberia if he'd been given the chance. He even opresses his own citizens, living like a monarch whilst his people suffer in financial despair! He has done little to nothing to help the French economy.

 

In fact, the only French actions he has taken during his administration is to try to draw us into their imperialist agenda, taking advantage of our wish to preserve Europe and our good will, and oppress others under him.

 

People of Britain, we cannot let this continue. We, are a Paragon of Good; today, we shall finally give the French what they have been searching for since their Revolution almost two hundred and fifty years ago: unconditional and stable freedom."

The crown thunders in applause, crying shouts of "Long live the King!" and "The Sun Never Sets on Great Britain!"

 

 

A second British army is dispatched, escorted by ships of the Royal Navy. Their intent is to attempt to break through to Normandy, and land on their shores, to help the other British army and the Iberians.

 

 

The British SAS and a division of Paratroopers would also parachute into Normandy beforehand, and attempt to sabotage the French coastal defenses and ships if they have any.

Meanwhile, on the home front, the Traditionalist Conservatives are beginning to get annoyed with the Firebrands. The government keeps a close eye on the amount of unrest from the Liberals and lower classes, and would insist that factories and installations vital to the war effort remain in operation, despite the sit-ins, but due to the war, the threat from the political opposition is considered minuscule, and non-vital at the moment. Police would monitor the riots, but would ONLY intervene if they became violent. Political analysts hope that the war will pull the nation together in a fever of nationalism.

Unfortunently, the British Government is unable to send significant military aid to the Saudi Arabians at the moment. However, the threat to their main source of oil is too much to ignore...

 

The King and Prime Minister of Great Britain will meet with the Saudi ambassador to discuss this issue further, and lay out possible plans of aiding the Saudis in the near future.

Russian fighters and bombers, as well as gunships would be given permission to use the British Isles as a base of operations against France. The RAF pilots still stationed in the British Isles would join the Russian gunships in attacking the French infrastructure.

The Sons of Liberty (USA)

 

The United States had failed... miserably. It failed to address the issues with the radicals. It was ignorant of its peoples problems that led to the divide between the South and the North... yet again. Since the secession of the Confederates, the current Federal government had collapsed. The Confederacy managed to hold itself together since each state was almost like a sovereign nation and had much more power to address issues taking place in that specific state. The Federal government however could not. U.S President George K. Collier watched has his nation was now divided - the very thing he dreaded. The greatest military power in the history of man was now split. Collier is disgraced and asks to retire in the CSA in his Texan home.

 

General Douglas Patterson would not let secession this happen. He was a military genius and a war veteran of the war on terror. He was a great leader, a great public speaker, and an efficient military strategist - had the Climate change not hit mankind in the face, he may have been responsible for the decisive defeat of the Islamic Caliphate. He knew the leaders of the Caliphate by name and was debriefed multiple times on the situation of the world. He knew politics and he was the former head of the United States Army. However, now he was part of the Sons of Liberty unison movement. Prior to the secession, he had secured his seat as the Secretary of State when Jeb Goodman retired. Organizing a coup, he has the Vice President killed secretly and took the seat. His charisma and his grit gave him the advantage he needed. He called the secession a national emergency and assumed power he didn't really have. While the Federal troops in the South surrendered to the Confederate soldiers, he musters his men and makes them pledge allegiance to the United States of America, as they had done many times before. However, now there was no real American government. Just him and his army.

 

 

He was the unofficial President of the United States now, even though the states were not United and he was effectively a military dictator. The entire remaining force of the Federal army was under his control, and even if the people questioned his authority, he was still technically the head of the United States Army. He, however, resented dictatorships. A proud American and a firm believer in the constitutional republic, he vowed to united Americans under one flag once again. Division made America weak. Unison would make them strong. As Federal troops surrender to the Confederacy and want to return to their home state, he starts conscription. In order to keep up a military state, he embraces manufacturing and engineering. He continues the factory project that started all those years ago that made militaristic factories in the American Midwest. All previous relations with all other countries are dissolved. A mistake of the past government was sticking its head into foreign affairs when concentration was needed at home. He starts training his men. He makes no official deals with the Confederates but does not engage in military conflict either or allows even the slightest skirmish. He has respect for the Confederate willpower and he still considers them American people. 

 

 

Since the U.S Dollar still holds much value and is globally used, he asks the Confederates to keep the currency the same. This would in turn allow America to stabilize economically. He also allows any Americans living in the North to relocate to the Confederacy if they so desire. Their property, however, would not be compensated for. They would have to either sell it or abandon it. 

 

The American Navy in the Pacific Islands stays there. They are in port and could be decently managed in a place where they are far from troublesome American politics. Within a mere weeks, doing his best to clean up Collier's mess and match the Confederate mobilization,  he turns the Union into a militaristic force. Militias form and farms are tended to.

 

Although he knew he could not defeat the South outright, the General used his genius to even the playing field a little more so that if the South invaded into the country, they would be defeated. He thought the military genius of the South was admirable. Just like in the first Civil War, the South had quickly and efficiently secured its secession without even giving the Union time to react. Army regiments that leave the Union to train southerners aren't allowed to come back and their properties are seized. The new government organizes Union militias in different states. Although they are not called state militias, they are made up of State Regiments.

 

A slight advantage that the Union has, is the U.S armory that it was left with. Although the Southerners were well equipped and armed, the Union was not any less so and since its name was official, it was easier to get access to international aid and a lot of weapons caches were in Northern States. It seemed that both sides at this point were almost at a stalemate. The General called this the silent war since both sides were mustering and neither attacking. The most prestigious military school in the nation, WestPoint, is in the North, but he feared the South had better commanders since most who attend are Southern. To avoid the rise of conflict on either end, he asks the CSA top officials to meet with the Union's top officials in New York City in what will be known as the Yankee Summit.

 

 

 

The experienced Union soldiers are sent to are sent to the border states. They do not engage in any offensive operations - they just guard the border. The United States Navy is still in Union control, however all ships docked in southern states are basically Confederate now. The U.S Navy, and consequently, the U.S Air Force is now nearly divided in half. Since California is technically not part of either nation, the General will agree to a temporary non-aggression pact of five years if the Union gets to have it without conflict.

 

The Sons of Liberty Unison force turns into the Union's main political party. Although the Northern people may not have as much of a drive keeping the country United instead of seceded, he launches campaigns bolding the radical ideas of Confederate discrimination. He calls himself the modern Ulysses S. Grant and readies himself for the inevitable war. Regardless of the victor, the war was bound to happen.

 

 

The Union army quickly sets up camps in the Midwest to train soldiers. It takes control of its rivers with gunboats and local militias. Union regiments train all across the American territory. They are well organized and well led, and ready for an offensive, if it does come to that, which General Patterson assumes it will. Equipment, food rations, and uniforms are distributed to soldiers. Tanks, vehicles, and aircraft are prepared for an offensive or a strategic defensive war. The General hopes that the Southerners will negotiate peace and a non-aggression pact for a limited time. If war happened now, then there would be no real victor.
