The Swiss Media soon begins its main propaganda against Sweden on televisions across Europe.

It begins with the Foreign Affairs President leaning back on his desk in his office before leaning forward to speak.

 

"Children of Europe, and the World. I come to you from the Government Presidential Offices. Recently, as most of you know, Sweden, a once kind nation, has turned head over heel. They have become such as the once foe they faced a great many years ago, Hitler and his Nazi party. They are now doing as Hitler did, persecuting people by belief and opinion. Therefore, though Switzerland has been quiet for some time... We remember the devastation Hitler brought, and we will not see it again if we can help it. And so, through many discussions, we announce that we Condemn the actions of the Swedish Government. It is an act of pure terror against civilization to attempt to undermine another entirely, and thus must be stopped. We today call to all Nation Leaders in Europe, and the World, cease aid to Sweden, it's actions in recent months are by no means acceptable, we hubbly request that other World Powers do what they can to end "Toddler Hitler" before he grows and kills millions."

 

Later on, a message is sent to the German Prime Minister from the Defense President on live TV across Europe.

"To you Germany, we send humble regards, but it has been a long time since our declaration of Neutrality, and seek to replenish it's effect, step one is to announce we are still neutral in the world. Step two, is to make it so any who break our Neutrality by attacking us, shall be seen by the world as liars and schemers. We shall indeed uphold our Neutrality, but with tensions rising, we wish to make sure any who threaten our Neutrality, shall be met with defensive precautions, and be seen by the world as they break our Neutrality."

 

Headlines of an interview with the Economics President soon erupt throughout Europe.

"Hello everyone, and thank you for tuning in to our announcement. Recently, the world has taken even greater notice of the collapse of our resources and political ties. And so our government has agreed that we will help those we can, but limited to Europe at this time. The Governments within Europe are hereby offered financial aid in the efforts to stabilize the economy of their nation. This applies to all European nations, except Sweden. This shall last until Sweden's new regime changes its persecutive ways. All nations involved shall be funded based on the severity of their economic crisis, however larger nations shall as well gain extra funding in hopes that if they prosper, so shall the smaller nations begin to as well. I thank you for listening, and good luck."

 

The UKoGB receives a message from the Defense President, agreeing to the trade pact, but declining the military alliance, as Switzerland still wishes to remain Neutral, and will stick by its recent claims to remain so.

 

 

In other actions, the scientists and engineers of Switzerland are brought together in the effort to create an alternative to oil. (Combined knowledge and manpower= 7-8 pages before it is discovered)

The lush grassland in the valleys are turned into large farms, advanced aqueducts being placed.

Snow is melted and boiled to create fresh water.

Northern and Eastern defense platforms in the mountains are armed with necessary things.

Republic of Ireland

 

 

Sinn Féin, while mainly concerned about matter within Ireland, have been keeping an ever-watchful eye on Russia and Sweden. No statement has been made by the Irish government however.

 

Swedish government officials have been requested to take part in a video conference with the Irish government officials in order to provide full clarity of the situation. (Will PM if accepted)

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin is offered accommodation in Aras an Uachtarain should he choose to visit Ireland during his world tour to discuss international matters, trade and other matters of interest. (Will PM if accepted and when arrived)

 

King Charles of the United Kingdom is offered accommodation in Aras an Uachtarain to discuss currencies, trade and international matters. He is reminded that this will show the public that relations between the nations have further improved since the Queens visit. (Will PM if accepted and when arrived)

 

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is offered a trade agreement in which the fertile soils of Ireland will provide food in return for oil from Saudi Arabia.

The United States of America

 

As negotiations in Richmond finally end after seeming endless, they turn out to be extremely successful. President Collier appoints Confederate party leader Jeb Goodman as Secretary of State of the U.S, and compromises are made. Now America is truly United. Although there is trouble and radicals on the other end, America can now focus also on other areas, as he has the support of both Confederate and Federalist politicians. This support also removes all other political parties and a two-party system is seen yet again.

 

 

President Collier is deep in thought, and finds himself in Moscow on Soviet Remembrance day. He seems to be in a great mood and addresses Russia and the world:

 

"Honorable people of Russia and people around the world. Today marks a legendary day in history - one that hasn't been seen in nearly a hundred years. The successful military and political cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States of America has been concluded and is now official. The government of the United States is proud to support the righteous people of Russia and I, President Collier, am thrilled to see our friendship blossoming. As an American, I had my doubts on this friendship, and I am aware that many of you slavic people aren't too thrilled to see an American President speaking to you on Soviet Remembrance day. However, if our great nations cooperate, I am sure that the fate of humanity will be sealed, and mankind will benefit from our ties. That being said, I would like to take the time to personally congratulate President Vladimir Putin in his effective leadership and stance against the fascist Swedish government. Mr. Putin, I remember your name on the television in my old ranch house when I was merely 15 years old. You were the newly elected President and in your short term, you multiplied Russia's GDP by seven, and tripled the median household income. Your fervor and discipline is an an inspiration to all. I thank you for your time. God Bless the newfound friendship between the U.S and Russia."

 

 

As he travels back to the United States of America, he hears word that the bills that guarantee more powerful states rights have been passed in unanimity. He was glad, as he shared the view of true democracy and wanted the people to be able to govern themselves more. Now, with the Confederate and Federalist party both backing him, he was the first independent U.S president to have a majority favor in the House and Congress since George Washington. Now, his primary goal was to take care of the radicals and protect American ideals in the U.S and around the world.

 

 

Collier takes heed to some Confederate concerns and offers Saudi Arabia and India food rations from excess food supply (because we all know where the excess food in America goes) and in exchange asks for a trade agreement and a non-aggression pact. He does not agree to end relations with the United Kingdom since they are a powerful ally and vital in securing democracy in Europe. He also drafts a bill addressing the issue of States Militia, the U.S Military, and Veteran's Social care. In theory, veterans of the U.S military can go back to their home state and use their experience to be officers in the State Militia. Experienced and hardened veterans of the State Militia will be able to apply to U.S military colleges like WestPoint and the Naval Academy. This way, veterans are able to expand their military career and are ensured healthcare by the U.S military, and other benefits up to the state and the militia.

 

 

The U.S Congress also asks that the State be responsible for the riots that take place and plague the cities. He hopes that this power will tear apart the radicals from the more Libertarian conservatives and reduce the internal turmoil in the country.

 

As soon as he knows he has won a political battle, he starts conscription. Thousands of young men seeking adventure start enlisting in to the U.S military. Many join the Navy where they can be on the ocean and see the effects of the climate change up close - behind the system of levies that do not let them get a good view. Money is poured into the military, and used not for Imperialistic measures, but to guard the U.S Pacific Islands and Atlantic frontier. Naval research boots up again, however this time it is a joint effort with the Russians. In Alaska, a military training course is set up - one of the most tough in the world. Russia is asked to send in Spetsnaz soldiers and train alongside American Navy Seals and the British SAS, should they accept. American investors are encouraged to invest in Latin American countries for the cheap labor and resource-rich areas, and Confederate Politicians are put in charge of Latin American affairs. President George K. Collier accepts the invitation from the King of Great Britain and prepares to travel to London.

 

 

A missive is sent to Sweden asking them to stop their fascist affairs. The U.S had been trying to isolate Sweden from the beginning and agreed to Russia's request of blacklisting them. American approval for the Swiss rockets upward as they take a stance against Sweden. Empathy for the Russians rises as well.. An American Naval force is sent to Hawaii to keep the U.S Pacific Islands safe.

Secretary of State and Confederate political party leader Jeb Goodman addressed national television on affairs in the U.S and abroad.

 

"I now stand as an active political leader in the United States, and promise to meet Confederate party demands. Laws have already been passed to benefit the states, and all is planned to go well. That is not why I address you all today, instead I come to speak about the alleged european problems. Sweden made a choice to expel people not agreeable to them or their state. Is this a violation of human rights? The answer is obviously yes, but it can be justified, like anything else. I condemn the old Confederation for slavery, but I fully understand why it was so important to them. Sweden also has not annexed nations, or dare to go as far as Russia and engage in actual fighting with other states. Russia is the true nation people should keep an eye on, but isn't everyone else worthy of that title as well? Someone..or Someone's create confusion, make a puppet enemy, and act behind that. It benefits all but the people who actually need the benefits. So why such massive international condemnation on a single violation of human rights when it's so rife in the past -and present- , and other nations are lobbing shells into other peoples. As secretary of state in the United States and Confederate party leader I state that maybe states like Russia should desist in their expansion. USA Reaction Post:

 

Collier nods in approval to Goodman's speech. His speech may have hurt to the relations between the U.S and Russia and maybe even other countries, but there was logic in his speech at the same time, so he didn't mind. He vows to himself to pull the U.S out of European affairs now, since he has faith in the East and the West. "Europe for Europeans." He proclaims. "America for Americans." Although the U.S hasn't taken action against Sweden, and plan on letting the Europeans decide what to do, he looks to Asia and worries of Japanese Imperialism - the only threat close to American borders. He hopes that Russia could deal with the Swedes decisively and looks on to their actions. It was a chess-game, and it wasn't America's turn.

The Russian Federation

 

Outraged the Putin administration was. Here they came as cossacks on a white horse for the Indian crisis, and they kicked the delegation out empty-handed. The President catched a plane, and went straight to the British isles. His first visit being in Dublin, where he would discuss economic and military affairs with Ireland. His next stop, London.

 

Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev meanwhile addressed the world on the economic forum of St. Petersburg

 

 

"The Russian Federation is happy to announce the establishment of full-scale corperation between the United States of America, our associates, and ourselves. Both Russia and the US shall be heavily investing in eachother, improving our infrastructure and giving fiscal structure to our large nations. We will work together terms of military and industry and a space program is in the works. We can happily say that the Cold War ended, today.

 

With our American partners, we hereby establish an Intercontinental Monetary Union. The United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Turkey,  Italy and Serbia will join us on our quest for economic stability. Competition, fairness and transparancy will be put in place in the global economy. We respectively place the IMU committee here in St. Petersburg. We ask all members to join us in holding our first summit!"

 

The operation on Estonia continues as more artillery divisions had mobilized, the border troops either retreated or destroyed. Small squadrons of Russian soldiers slowly close in on bordering cities of Estonia, planning to occupy the centre. With massive renovations ongoing in Russia, the state witnessed the opening of many former Soviet factories that were deemed unusable. Russian goods began to be mass produced, powered by the expensive but functional renovated eletrical grid that started to take shape. Logistical plans are made to increase production of military equipment.

 

The research for an alternative fuel is ongoing, but not that progressive. Many different theories are to be tried in practice, and the 2 billion budget already seems to be not enough. Though agricultural research is booming with the access of information and products from Portugal and America. The research starts to draw some former Monsanto employees as well.

 

 

Cities nearby the Estonian border errupt into protests and boycotts against the Russian government. But are heavily taken down by the police and even active military personelll in the region, Several Russian journalists reporting on Estonia with a Swiss and Swedish reporter were imprisoned with a suspiciously quick trial.

"--Protests have errupted in the state of California after congressman Eric Garner was imprisoned on corruption charges. Garner would have made deals with California governor James Wyatt Fairbanks to achieve more autonomy and economic freedoms from the American government. Eric was a symbol to the California people for a long while, being seen as the only politician to actually address the mattering issues.

 

 

Following his arrest, disputes between people and the police began. After several fatal shootings and the declaration of close corperation with Russia, the California people went on the street to protest in masses. It is said that the Californian administration is drafting a declaratian of independence as we speak, sources state that a delegation already went to the CSA. The protests in California inspire people throughout the USA to stand up for their rights, as the protests turned nationwide."

 

"--In other news, the Swedish president sparked outrage over social media throughout Europe over his statement on multi-culturalism. Many people in Europe start to question their foreign policy and government in general as social media glows red:

 

"It is not just Sweden where the selfish leeches had come to feed off of a greater nation than their own. This modern plague exists all throughout Europe, but the weak-willed dismiss it as multi-culturalism. Well I say multi-culturalism is anti-culturalism. The Republic of Italia

 

 

The President took a long sip from his wine glass. His briefing room was a chaotic mess, the Russian and German Expansion, the Swedish change, all was changing fast. This was the perfect time. Out of the ashes Italia would rise. A once great Empire, they would reforge old glory and conquer old lands and hammer out new alliances. The government needed a reform, far too many old men sat upon the chairs, brooding over lost causes and owed money. The president issued a governmental reform, expelling all those corrupt and greedy from his government. New, fresh faces were brought in, with the same charismatic attitude as he. Together they would make Italy great.

 

 

Massive propoganda campaigns are launched across the nation, urging fit civilians to sign up for the military.  Commercials are aired talking of a coming golden age, how enlisting in the military would help to find glory as great as Rome itself. Julius Marius delivers a grand speech to his cabinet, they conclude that workforces as well as militaristic drafting will soon be put into place. A grand parade is put in place to celebrate these fastly coming changes.

 

 

President Julius approves the following actions:

-All trade pacts are agreed to

-Germany and Sweden are accepted in their alliance

-Russia is offered a non-aggresion pact

-Switzerland is offered to expand trade and joint military training 

-Massive military recruitment campaigns

-The unemployed are offered (some may say forced) into joining workforces, paid with housing and food, to work on repairing the infrastructure of Italy. 

-The Switzerland offer to help boost the economy is accepted

-Tourism campaigns are opened to the Confederacy and expanded upon in the Europe and Asia ((mod decides if this boosts the economy))

-Troops are moved to the western seaboard, silently loading onto naval ships

MOD EVENT

JAPAN

The Congress gathered on May 13th, 2038. The Congressman found their seats, and each shifted uncomfortably. Many have been conspiring since Naruhito took power, but the day had finally come. The Emperor had been trying to pass his Chinese Bill for some time now, and this evening he planned to give a speech regarding diplomatic relations between the two Asian powers. Now, on national television, their plan would go into action.

Music blared, the Japanese national anthem, the Congressmen stood and watched their Emperor stride confidently toward his podium. Then silence, the Emperor permitted his Congressmen to sit, yet none sat. They stood for a moment in protest, silence. Then one shouted "For Democracy, for Japan!" The shot seemed to ring for hours afterward, and the nation stayed in a state of shock.

The people of Japan watched on their televisions as their Emperor collapsed to the floor in a pool of blood. His head blown nearly entirely away. Then the feed was cut off, and the national anthem of Japan played triumphantly behind a blackened screen. Nothing happened, the nation was silent.

Civil War.

The Congressional assets of the military mobilized first. What part of the Navy they controlled moved strategically to take Tokyo Harbor. They secured it, and formed a defensive ring in the area. What they lacked in numbers, they would attempt to compensate for in defensiveness. Congressional soldiers stormed Tokyo city, silencing dissenters to the assassination. The streets of the Capitol were now the streets of the Congress. 

The Congress then took control of a significant portion of central Japan, establishing a strong foothold in the area. It was up to the Imperials to decide their next move.

The Landing of Palma de Mallorca

The first boats landed in the dead of night, troops loading off and ascending the beaches of the eastern coastline. Their vessels and uniforms unmarked, the landing parties moved in towards outer towns. With a small section of beach secure, the main force of soldiers followed the landing parties. Soon a small army was moving across the eastern side of the island, sweeping through the rural area and securing the towns. The usually quite island, taken unawares, gave little resistance. The main city of the island however, was not taken so easily. The first parties into the port leapt atop the docks and ascended into the city, but police and military had been alerted to the unmarked army and a few men were lost. However they soon had Palma de Mallorca secured. With the capital taken the rest of the island fell swiftly. Larger ships moved into the port, military buzzed across the new invasion point. Meanwhile a larger army travelled on the main fleet, an army of 100,000 was making for Barcelona, hoping to take the city and its area by suprise as Palma was taken. The President is given an nvasion plan as he sits in his limosine making towards Spain. Palma was taken but the other invasion forces' success was to be seen ((MOD NEEDED ))

 

Actions:

-Workforces already sent in to Palma to distribute food and care for wounded spaniards.

The Japanese Imperial Faction

 

The cries of the now Empress Dowager of Japan were heard by the prime backers of the Yamato family that day.

 

It was a crime not only against Tradition to kill the Yamato Emperor of the Chrysanthemum Throne, but Kami himself.

 

They would burn for their crime.

 

The Imperial Family is quickly evacuated from Tokyo, being moved to the faction's stronghold in Kyoto. The Yamato army begins to amass outside of Kyoto as the sympathetic and loyal Taiwanese begin to be shipped in. They would soon take casualties in their storm through the Capitol region towards Tokyo, but faith in the descendants of the Kami would lead them to victory.

 

The navy makes marine landings on the Congressional southern island territories, quickly moving to attack any holdings there while the army prepares defenses outside of Kyoto for the time being. The Imperialist navy far outnumbered the Congressional, and they sought to use that to their advantage by blockading the Congressional cities of Hamamatsu, and Sendai, the majority of the fleet blockading and firing at Tokyo Bay.

 

Meanwhile, in the Kyoto Imperial Palace, a hasty ceremony is prepared - the ascension of Aiko to the Chrysanthemum Throne, making her the will of the Shinto religion and the people of Yamato. It was a heavily guarded event, the 26 year old protected by a legion of soldiers and only the most loyal ministers allowed to attend. Her first proclamation gave her father the postmortem title of "Emperor Meiju", in obvious reference to the Meiji of centuries past, and after the ascension she stepped forward and, with tears in her eyes, stepped forward to address the attendees.

 

"My father was a good man. He found roots in tradition and the old ways, and sought to return Japan to its rightful place as sovereign of the Eastern Isles. Those that grovel before the West have taken Tokyo for themselves, hoping to overturn thousands of years of Imperial sovereignty. What they did was unthinkable; never before has a Japanese man slain his Emperor. They are to be cast down before the Spirits and thrown to the deepest depths of the Yomi.

 

What lies ahead of us now is the hardest part. The Taiwanese military remains loyal to us, and our armies on Yamato itself are even with the enemy. We have trapped their navy against the rocks and we have what we need to win. The most important part, though, is that I need your support. We must do all we can to defeat these people that would kill the symbol of Japan itself."

 

The Japanese Imperial Military is halved, what is still controlled by the Imperials is moved to protect Kyoto and the land South of the Capitol region, while those trapped between the Capitol and Sendai are moved to defend Niigata at any costs.

 

The Japanese Taiwan Military begins to be ferried from Taiwan to Japan, in attempt to bolster the Army before it storms Tokyo.

 

The Japanese Imperial Navy loses a quarter of its total force and one of its aircraft carriers, and a blockade double the size of the Congressional Navy is made. The rest move to secure land south of the Capitol region.

 

The Japanese Taiwan Navy moves in preparation of an assault on Sendai. and to blockade the strait between the main Japanese island and the one Sapporo rests on.

The United States of America (Internal Event Post)

 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - British American Colonies. June 13th, 1776: 

"Dammit! What you talk about is war with the most powerful military force in the history of man over some overrated dream of liberty. They protect us and simply want us to pay for their protection!" The voice came from a representative from New York. An old overweight man with glasses so thick, you think it would make his face slant downwards, answered slowly:
 
"Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."
 

California, United States of America, June 13th, 2045:
 
"Dammit! What you talk about is war with the most powerful military force in the history of man over some overrated dream of security and infrastructure. They give us liberties and yet we still take to the streets!" The voice came from a Federalist Californian who wanted to keep being part of the United States. A young, athletic man responded hastily:
 
"We must value our security. The government does little to protect us from the climate change, and it is worth sacrificing some of our liberties for."

 

 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - British American Colonies. June 26th, 1776:
 
A young writer and philosopher rose up from his seat and presented his nearly finished work to the Congressmen. He started,
 
"We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal! That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights! That among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!" 

 

The congress looked awestruck. These ideas were so radical and inconceivable. All men were created equal? What about Kings and Queens? The bourgeois and the proletariat? How can a man have the same rights as a monarch or an emperor. Surely, these colonists were out of their mind.

 

 

California, United States of America, June 26th, 2045:

 

An old grumpy politician whom was placed there when the Confederates were trying to increase their influence rose and spoke about his plans for the California Republic. He started, 

 

"We must protect the security of our people against the forces of man and nature, and assume responsibility when failures happen. A just government provides security to its population which is the just government's essential goal."

 

The Congress was conflicted. They knew that if they made the people choose between food and liberty, food would win every time. But his idea was so radical? Who would be in power to ensure this security? Would people be unequal?

 

 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - The United States of America, July 4th, 1776:

 

Independence

 

"...We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. The group of radical leftist men had just done the incomprehensible. They signed a declaration of Independence and war against the most powerful military might in the history of man. And for what? Their right to vote for a leader? Their right to speak freely and without persecution and tyranny. Their right to be free of a monarch?

 

And thus, the United States of America was born.

"We therefore decree... That the newly founded California Republic, one founded on the basis of protecting and serving its honorable population, abolishes all ties to the United States of America and is a free and independent sovereign nation."

 

The group of radical leftist men did the inconceivable.They signed a declaration of Independence, and probably war, on the most powerful military force in the history of man. And for what? They security? Their ability to live in a caring government? Their right to be free from Federal laws?

 

And thus, the California Republic was born.
