What is your opinion on pure high elves and high elves in general?

I used to really like high elves overall, ones like Lucion, Azorella, Iatrilemar. Ones that seemed to genuinely reflect the culture they were going for. The pursuit of knowledge and subtle position of superiority. They were the best in my opinion because they were complex and fascinating to speak with.

This is no longer the case though, I believe. It seems like people play high elves solely to be snarky and racist. And even before there was the bronze uprising a lot of them played with murderous intent, just because. They've just become bland and generic now, to me. Meet one high elf and you've met them all, and that kind of frustrates me.

Ironically I have a halfling character now, Paddy the Fisherman. He's mainly there to fish, but in time I might actually do some RP with him. Nothing has stopped me from being a halfling, I just have other characters I'm occupied with usually and don't really consider them when making new ones.

 

My opinion of you, I think you mean well, sometimes you can be a bit flaky though with commitments in RP from what I've seen. Overall my opinion of you is good, however.

I'm not hiding, I just prefer to focus on the game itself now. I think Skype group chats kind of blur the line between OOC and RP, and I've noticed my experience overall has seemingly improved since I've stopped being a part of them. It's nothing against anyone in particular, I just think the skype group chats hamper the actual experience that is LotC due to pre-planning and such that could better be done in game through IC discussions.

 

Phaedrus is still happily married to Elorna, yes.

 

My opinion of you is good, you seem chill. As you know I don't remember half of the actual conversations we've had so you'll have to forgive me if I can't elaborate beyond 'good' :P

Considering it still exists, yea, I'd say so. I made Laureh'lin with the intention of having it taken from me by someone who was ambitious enough to lead. I wanted it to be a functioning government in a way where anyone would feel welcome to participate. That's literally why I made term-based elections, so people wouldn't have to feel like they had to raise an army to take Phaedrus' place. I wanted other people to take the reigns and get involved. So, yea, good job for being the person to do that.

Dogs, definitely dogs, I'm a dog person. Although it would be cool to swim with whales, or sharks for that matter.

 

Because I've had this name for eight years and I wanted a name without numbers in it as well.

 

I commend you on the fact that your characters are so varied from one another, while you're playing them simultaneously in turn. I can have a tense conversation with Gab and then a low key one with Elorna in the same hour. They're fun, they're different and complex.

 

I may be a dog person, but I don't know a lot about dog breeds... Normally I'm just like, hey, a dog, and they're friendly to me. So... I'm just going to go off general behavior from what I've observed, this likely in no way accurate.

 

Elorna seems like a beagle to me.

And your Dwarf whose name I forget seems like an English terrier.

Areon's death post This was so long ago... I think I might cringe if I re-read it.

 

I like waffles, yes... Though I believe I prefer pancakes, fluffier.

You spelled it correctly, don't worry. As for the actual images, I get the base pose in Novaskin, then I bring that image into photoshop along several props. For the spears I just combined a stick and a sword to make it look elongated, for the shield I just recolored an ender pearl. For the falchion I used a specific texture pack, went into single player and made a 'black screen' then threw the weapon on the ground and took a screenshot, then cropped it out and put it on his belt. Basically just layered the images together to make it look like one, magic. The process is pretty quick, I think the longest one which was the crouching down with the spear and shield one, took about 20 minutes.

Yes, I actually have. My favorite heroes as a child were Green Arrow and Aquaman, I liked Batman too but the library I went to didn't have many comic books about him. I can't tell you what issues I read, it was a long, long time ago, but I do remember those two heroes distinctly being my favorites.
