Weclome Lord of the Craftians~

The topic: LoTC. It’s been about half a year since the creation and release of the Isles of Vailor if my early morning memory isn’t failing me. That’s half a year of both map changes, rule changes, staff changes. And still the community stands strong.

The community is important to keeping the server going and therefore the ET, GMs, Devs, and Admins have started coming together to ask you some important questions. Your answers will be used to further event lines, create map changes, and give everyone food for thought. Remember to keep your answers respectful even when being critical and yada yada yada, you know what I mean. So let’s begin!

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?

What do you dislike about LoTC?

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?

What should LoTC do less?

What did you like specifically about previous maps?

What would be interesting to see in a future map?

What keeps you coming back to the server?

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?

Thank you all for taking the time to answer these questions, I know there are a lot of them! Look back every once in a while to see more questions! I know I missed some... The GMs and Admins are also working together to set up a time for another Community Meeting to answer your questions and to discuss the answers given, so look forward to that.

Too many restrictions in place and punishments flung around like candy on halloween. LoTC appealed to those that liked the medieval fantasy setting but were slapped in the face with **** ooc attitudes and horrible war systems where staff are too scared to moderate because it'll affect their outward appearance and lower their rep with 'players'. Usually 1 guy on the staff is doing all the **** jobs and taking all the flak so the gm cliques don't have to. I liked lotc when it was just easier to do things, where item value was rp and not ooc because of how powerful it is in pvp, and how ooc barriers werent used to stop rp progression because you are on the losing side.

Overall the server has declined to the point that the only fun part is Fireheart's Warclaim Team, looking at new builds and making prot glyphs to make people sad.

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?

The lore and the history.

What do you dislike about LoTC?

The cliques.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?

Having fun.

What should LoTC do less?

Memes.

What did you like specifically about previous maps?

Aegis - how chilled the community was, how little people cared about builds, only about rp and having fun (and trolling)

Asulon - more serious in depth rp, not so much the edginess of some rp and rp fighting when people don't know how to do it properly

Anthos - the awesome builds

I can't even remember the 4.0 map's name so thats how notable it was.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?

Some more interesting biomes.

What keeps you coming back to the server?

My addiction.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?

Yes, otherwise a part of the playerbase becomes a punching bag and ends up leaving.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?

Yes. 75% of our current map probably never sees any use since it's basically DayZ wasteland.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?

Holy **** yes.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations.

7. It's ok but has room for improvement and needs some serious rebalancing and maybe something to reduce powercreep and how useless new players are with it. ALSO ADD MORE LITTLE THINGS TO MAKE!

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?

Magic.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?

No, but the forums could use some fixing.

EDIT: Drake sums it up. Server is on life support, everything OOC not RP nowadays.

Aviary plugin when? Seriously its like the staff/devs are promoting metagaming. Pm'ing people to come run somewhere to help you in a fight, for example this is what I see most times in pms * Bird * "Help me at [Insert Location.]"

The aviary plugin actually promoted rp instead of being like, oh just pm your buddy to come over and stuff its ok. Like nobody carries around ink, paper and a bird to do that. Also said bird has to find the person in rp and if it manages, then whats to stop somebody following said bird to a players location in rp? Nothing but its still not allowed.

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC? I like LOTC as a large community for roleplaying, and the coherent lore and world it has developed.

What do you dislike about LoTC? The loss of focus on roleplay, and moreso onto mechanics and pvp.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of? Focus on roleplay.

What should LoTC do less? Tolerance for rule breaking.

What did you like specifically about previous maps? In Asulon I loved the size, access to fast travel, and centralized/unorthodox cloud temple.

What would be interesting to see in a future map? More just... little do-dads. Little details.

What keeps you coming back to the server? Roleplay and friends.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist? Nope.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore? Maybe? Not too sure.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more? Lots of players already work together. Would a bit more peace be welcomed? Heck yeah.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations. 6/10, while impressive, and in depth- it went against what we were told massively. Nexus was teased to us as NOT SOMETHING RESTRICTIVE, but an series of buffs, and RPable professions. Even being a jeweler/jewelery maker was teased.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on? The compost plugin. Make so we can get more than 64 and 14 compost as a max filling, or atleast not still composting things even when full.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed? Just the compost plug-in.

4am in the Dingoland, ima sort you out

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?

Broadly speaking, the opportunity to create stories and act out characters that cater to different audiences and demographics which we as a playerbase or in 'kayfabe' talk, have control of global outcomes ie; in a months time a nation may no longer exist because of player actions. Thats badarse. There are opportunities to grow and develop these characters through actual in game events which makes it actually enjoyable to just step back and take an overview of how a character has progressed from their conception (being played) to where they stand now.

What do you dislike about LoTC?

PvP whores, (rich coming from an orc right), edgies that are the most cliche pieces of poo you can ever come across, and the majority player mindset that they are the main character of LoTC, lack of an overarching story and the fact that its basically become an MMO. This is not an MMO, as much as many pretend to be. People need to stop treating it this way, it is what is killing the server. This is minecraft RP server, and it needs to stop trying to be more than that. Also, spare very, very few builds, this map looks just awful. Like, sh!t. Same thing in Athera. The Caliphate, the High Elf place, the Hallowvale fort and Laz-Dur are the only builds that I've found impressive. This is a problem.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?

More global storylines that develop everyones characters, not a select elitist few. Put more focus on story driven RP instead of ramshackled pointless stuff that doesnt mean anything, have events or whatever the f*ck you wanna do drive towards a goal that can impact everyone from the GM cliques to nation leaders to grunts to peasents.

What should LoTC do less?

Employ lackluster GMs. Cosmic is literally the only straight shooter I have contact with, he calls things right down the middle regardless of affiliation. Now, from what I've heard and seen, the absence of other GMs doing that is a problem. The abuse of GM power is a problem, not necessarily being corrupt but using RP to get their own characters over. LoTC also needs to stop catering to PvP whores. You may say, most of the playerbase love PvP, if we were to stop catering to them we'd lose them. Would you like to know why that will happen? Ima tell you. Because we started catering to them to begin with. On a server that is, an 'rp' server, guess what the main feature is. RP. So when there is no PvP, what are we all supposed to do. RP. What do we actually do. ... ... ... Mhm. Problem spotted. So people get bored and lose interest.

What did you like specifically about previous maps?

Forgetting Athera, they looked good, were of a good size and there was RP hubs.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?

Going back to that old formula. Make it look good, make it of a good size, and let natural RP hubs develop.

What keeps you coming back to the server?

I'm a nation leader. Tbh if I wasnt/when I no longer am, dont know if Ill stay.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?

Yes, but not like we have seen before. Thinking of LoTC as a story, which realistically it is, every story needs conflict. Yes there are nation conflict and smaller conflict, but nothing has actually shaken LoTC up to its core. With antagonists, they always lose. Its the same gimmick, we are bad guys, we dont like you, the good guys, time to end you. Wait, no, no its not. Slap; antagonist defeated. We need an actual threat. We need the threat of losing homes, items, PKing, we need to fear the antagonists. Kinda sounds like an endmap antagonist right? No, do not make the main antagonist an endmap one because thats an easy cop out because its all planned. We need an antagonist thats a threat. Also, side note; dont make it just black and white theyre good and we're bad. Make it debatable, make us wonder, are we really the good guys here? Are we in the right? Make us seem vulnerable, less two dimensional. Make the antagonist, like us, really.

Riveting sh!t.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?

Going off the assumption that this means literal exploration, yes. Dungeons, pixel rewards, the works to get people salivating to wander around the map. In terms of actual incentives, its the same formula. Just reward people, theyll flock.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?

Undoubtably. For LoTC to work in the way its intended, the way its meant to, everyone needs to work together to further its story, and by doing so, their characters will be furthered as well. If it wasnt so 'me me me' we might actually enjoy the server more. Im not saying we all hold hands and sing waltzing matilda, im saying if we OOCly work together to further our RP, then LoTC becomes fun again.

If this comes across as agressive it really isnt, and I dont mean to single anybody out.

God Bless Krugmerica

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC? I like the Nexus Crafting and Nexus Professions. I enjoy grinding skills.

What do you dislike about LoTC? The GMs don't discuss with you why they are banning you prior to actually banning you. They just hastily ban you. The same goes for staff position applications, they just decline them without asking the applicant if he/she can fulfill the duty.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of? Ban people who don't use quotations.

What should LoTC do less? N/A

What did you like specifically about previous maps? I liked how people made their own little communities.

What would be interesting to see in a future map? N/A

What keeps you coming back to the server? Leveling my professions(mostly the Tinker one).

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist? Lore-wise yes. RP-wise not so much. Antagonists are usually overpowered in roleplay pvp and mc mechanics pvp, thus I do not interact with them.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore? N/A

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more? For building and resource-gathering, yes. For gearing up for warclaims and nonsense such as that, no.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? 8/10. I like it, but I think it'd be good to improve on some of the skills. There are some skills that benefit a lot more than others.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on? N/A

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed? N/A

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?: The lore, and the server's plugins and such are pretty nice.

What do you dislike about LoTC?: The toxic community

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?: Promote fun and roleplay, deal with trolls and memers.

What should LoTC do less?: Empower PvP

What did you like specifically about previous maps?: Wasn't around for that.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?: Less empty fields, more interesting locations to explore.

What keeps you coming back to the server?: The friendships I've made.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?: Doesn't need one, but it still needs a direction.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?: Absolutely

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?: The players need to work together more towards promoting fun and roleplay, not ruining other's fun and ejoyment via abuse of PvP, villainy and warclaims.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations.

The skill plugin works, I'll give it that. It is a grinder, but that really can't be helped so I'll be lenient on that. The bigger issues I see with the plugin are certain professions. Alchemy is a righteous pain in the butt to level up, finding ingredients is awful and overall the slowest, hardest and least fun profession to grind. Cooking is virtually useless until the point where you can make golden apples and carrots.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?: A countdown plugin for PvP, would help reduce the amount of abuse of PvP default (Counting down from 5 to 1 in a microsecond). A plugin for aesthethic effects to aid roleplay would be great too.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?: Compost bins are a buggy mess.

LotC In General:

What do you like about LoTC? I enjoy the immersive role play it brings at times and getting to know other players.

what is something LoTC needs to do more of?: Fun events that actually have a purpose and meaning for character development.

what should LoTC do less? Bias standings between staff members and players.

What did you like specifically about previous maps? The events that took place, considering I hardly see anything on this current map.

What keeps you coming back to the server? I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist? Yes, though if an antagonist is made, I'd hope that it would go much smoother and have more organization then the recent mess that the iblees undead presence brought.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore? Sure, exploring is a good way to create diverse experiences with.

Do you think the server's players need to work together more? Yes, though this actually happening is slim to none as everyone wants their character to be in the center spotlight.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations. I'd have to say I actually like the skill plugin and what it brings to the table. Before, people could just craft whatever they wanted, without any restrictions on their character. So I think it's doing a good job so far. I'll give it a 7 for a rating.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on? I would say the magic plugin, though now it seems a little farfetched with trying to match all the subtypes up with the different spells used to represent such. So I'll have to say I'll reframe from fully answering this question, as I have nothing to offer.

Do you feel there are plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed? No comment on this question as nothing pops into mind.

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?

Unlike what many others have said, what I actually like about LotC is the community. Especially for the average age of the players, it's surprisingly serious and dedicated to roleplay. And, once you mesh into one of the roleplaying hubs, you have incredible chances to shape and grow your character within the story.

What do you dislike about LoTC?

The forums, the wiki, the current state of the lore, and some of the more selective and strange decisions of particular staff. More transparency in the banning process would be highly advised.

More importantly, the state the lore is in currently is trash; it's beyond me why you've allowed the forums to be the holder of the updated canonical lore (and rules, for that matter) rather than the wiki when that causes severe confusion and makes updated lore difficult to discern without the direct help of an LM. No official lore or rules should be found only on the forums for that very reason; it should all be updated in the WIKI as soon as it's accepted. There should not be any exceptions to this. I know it's easier for the staff to just move it into "accepted" after they've ruled on it and go on with their days, but that is seriously not enough.

And about forum rp specifically: I dislike doing any forum rp, to be honest. Using the forums for signs, events, and postings is fine, but the layout of the forums are generally...mangled, for lack of a better term. I would suggest, at least, regions listed within the roleplay section instead of races? Many mapped rp games with forum rp goes by regions, since you're interacting with people of the area moreso than people of a race. My main character, for instance, is a human, but she has no business in Human RP because she lives currently in Urguan, and the people she lives with are primarily non-dwed themselves. But it feels strange putting a "Crimson Edict" rp thread up in Urguan when there are no dwarves in the Crimson Edict.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?

Would love to see more events that pull people out of their typical RP hubs. Calls to action or other things, perhaps, that cause people to go to different hubs or non-hubs. I don't even mean like global events (though more of those would be nice); I'd love to see an ET pull a group or pick out people and get them involved in weird things. Get a Felsen noble and a Stoneguard stuck in a situation together, and maybe they end up having to protect a mali'ker orphan, too. Shake **** up, push people into each other's faces. Conflict!

What should LoTC do less?

Punitive banning vs. rule education, I suppose. And the meaningless restrictions in certain areas bug me, particularly magic. I can understand why learning magic should be selective in nature, should be something special, but the system as it is puts the teachers in a really stressful place, especially with the threat of magic-culling looming. I'll probably do a more detailed post about magic in the "New Magic Rules" thread.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?

We can always do with ancient ruins, and caves to explore! Spelunking is my favourite thing to do in MC! And generally a lot of the world-painting/terraforming in Vailor is kind of blah for me; I honestly prefer friggin' default seeds to some parts of it.

What keeps you coming back to the server?

I am addicted to RP.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?

I wouldn't say "need", but an antagonist is a good way to get people out of their seats. Give them something to do that isn't "this one capital is having a party!" Besides, there needs to be an antagonist to show some of our lamer villain characters how it's done.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?

Yub.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?

Definitely. Like I said earlier push them into each other's faces.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations.

I don't really have another plugin to compare it to, but it's pretty hozh, even though there are a couple problems and bugs with it. 7/10.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?

I am in the crowd that would like the magic plugin. Other than that, I'd like nameplates to show usernames (I've heard the server had this before but scrapped it?), sittable chairs to come back (with the rubber-band-bug taken care of, of course), and the ability to lay in a bed during the day time. And I'd love to be able to have a beehive to harvest honey from.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?

Only specific things in the plugins:
1. Canadian pancakes? Really?
2. There are two Chicken stews, and one of them uses porkchops.
3. You can only use non-percentage bows in dispersers.
4. I want to make a carrot cake as well as "steak and eggs" in chef.
5. I want to use honey (from the beehive!) to make mead in alchemy.

LoTC In General:
What do you like about LoTC? It is not stagnant
What do you dislike about LoTC? I enjoy combat rp but the combat rp on this server is always disappointing for me.
What is something LoTC needs to do more of? A quick How To RP video explaining basics for new people that dislike reading.
What should LoTC do less? Spread RP with its insane amount of towns.
What did you like specifically about previous maps? Wasn't there.
What would be interesting to see in a future map? Fewer petty towns. A Resource Island that is literally always sunny.
What keeps you coming back to the server? The few people that I do genuinely like OOC. I like RPing here. I'm loyal.

Events and Interaction:
Does LoTC need an antagonist? Yep. But not crappy rping ones. Antagonists should be allowed to antagonize without whiners that want to powergame and meta and ban report them to relieve their own sodium levels. There should be solid rules in place to protect their chars.
Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore? I really don't understand this question. Exploring and Incentive are always good so I assume my answer is yes.
Do you think the server’s players need to work together more? Meh. I believe that too many hands stirring the pot is annoying.

Plugins and Development:
What do you think of the skill plugin?  Uhhhhm. I didn't have expectations so I guess 10?
What plugins do you think the developers need to work on? I'm not sure if its a plug in issue or not but the fast travels are the bane of my Vailor existence. I've lost a ton of minas and items and patience with the amount of times I've just randomly spawned in dirt underground.
Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed? Meh

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?: A lot of the mods involved help enhance RP and create a more dynamic world to RP in. Additionally, the depth of lore is interesting.

What do you dislike about LoTC?: Honestly? A large majority of the community. We're plagued with trolls, memers, edgies and PvP heads.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?: Create less race-specific events, limit the number of people playing races that require applications, limit the number of random towns that can appear and crack down on the aforementioned community.

What should LoTC do less?: Sit back and let everything that has happened continue to unfold and disgrace the server.

What did you like specifically about previous maps?: A greater proximity of nations. We don't need carts when things are slightly closer. They're the reason raids and PvP encounters can become so toxic.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?: More interesting and varied relics/ruins to visit and explore, as well as a huge crater. Craters are nice.

What keeps you coming back to the server?: It saddens me to say that it's for the same reason that I visit Facebook every hour. Habit. If I wasn't so involved in a particular clan within the Orcs I have a feeling I would have taken another hiatus.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?: Lotc needs Antagonists; plural. Spread them far and give them less power. With singular Antagonists a very select few community members are often involved in the entire plot, and everyone else is left in the backdrop to fight the place-filler mobs that spawn. We need to include everyone, in different ways.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?: Yes.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?: Yes!

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations: 6/10. It's quite a chore to level the skills and I don't feel like they add a lot to the server; aside from being able to make niche items.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?: I don't know, to be honest.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?: I would say open up more skill availability.

LoTC In General:
What do you like about LoTC? - I'm fond of the large player base and the multitude of choices and relative freedom of role play. There is very deep and rich lore that can be drawn upon time and time again. It has amazing potential.

What do you dislike about LoTC? - I'm not overly fond of PvP default. It's something that is needed for wars and battles, but the constant raids and banditry is extremely off putting and would rather see people use roll based combat before PvP. A significant portion of the community is fixated on combat, which does drive story, but some people are here only for combat. Its something that I think has to change, but I don't think it will.

Additionally, I find that the community in general lacks maturity and is generally disrespectful of one another, sometimes to disgusting degrees. The things that people get away with saying and doing to each other is absolutely appalling and utterly inappropriate. There is entirely no need for the level of toxicity & vitriol that is exchanged between people. I understand the community is full of younger people, but there is such thing as civility and manners. As a member of society, being ill mannered is inexcusable, which is what a lot of what goes on around here is, inexcusable.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of? - There needs to be harsher and swifter action taken by the staff to crack down on the toxic behavior of the community and we need to take it upon ourselves as a community to change and police ourselves to make this a more friendly place and move the server to a collaborative story telling platform and not a faction competition.

What should LoTC do less? - There should be less emphasis on combat and wars. This could be achieved by an overhaul of the war claim system. I'll not go into detail as to how that is done, because I doubt that the system would change. If the staff is interested in hearing my suggestions, I check my inbox daily.

What did you like specifically about previous maps? - I cannot say as I've only been here for Vailor.

What would be interesting to see in a future map? - No fast travels, interesting and cool places along the roads. Dangerous wilderness. Roadside Inns. Underground dwarven city which is actually underground and not what Kal'akash is. I'd also like a vast desert/barren wasteland sort of map.

What keeps you coming back to the server? - The hope things will change. Other than that, the friends I've made here. There is very little else at this point.

Events and Interaction:
Does LoTC need an antagonist? - Possibly. If the players themselves aren't able to generate an actual threat then yes.

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore? - Yes, there needs to be more exploration to create more role play, even if its only temporary areas that might appear with a mana storm and disappear soon after.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more? - Yes and no. Conflict drives story. If we all worked together then there would be no conflict and it would be boring. Do I think we need to work together more with collaborative story telling and be willing to make sacrifices to create a more gripping and interesting saga? Yes. Do I think we as a community need to stop being so competitive and aggressive and learn how to play nice? Yes.

Plugins and Development:
What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations. - I don't have a firm opinion either way on the plugins.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on? - The Professions plugin should be reevaluated but otherwise I have nothing to say.

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed? - The professions plugin needs reevaluated and the staff needs to make an informed decision on what they see if it needs fixed or not.

LoTC In General:

What do you like about LoTC?

It really is the best platform for RP. Despite all the complaining people do, we take a lot of things for granted. I go to other RPing minecraft servers and the level of RP, plugins and map content simply isn't up to bar with the standards LOTC has set.

What do you dislike about LoTC?

Unresponsiveness and some seemingly obligatory policies the staff have. The staff are notorious on this server for being secretive and not at all transparent with its playerbase.

Why is so much lore hidden where it won't be revealed until some convoluted event that only a few people will participate in, when it could be made public and provide to daily RP as a whole?

Why do so many staff endorsed changes (antags, VAs, this new 2-magics MA thing) simply take so much effort from US, the players, to get changed, even when the overwhelming amount of us hate them?

Staff should be less resistant to change and be more open with the players.

What is something LoTC needs to do more of?

^ refer you above. Staff should be less resistant to change and be more open with the players.

I also feel like we need to mitigate this intense desire to never let OOC interfere with RP. This is a game, and when the game becomes genuinely upsetting to people that's when we need to pause the virtual world and intervene. We need to stop expecting everyone to keep solely in-character and be paragons of maturity, never being hurt by the game. We should stop ridiculing people who can't live up to that standard.

Most of this server is kids, some extra OOC mediation can prevent a lot of undue drama caused by "its RP so we cant intervene no matter how bad it gets".

What should LoTC do less?

Stop making big changes without first gauging if the community feels changes need to be made in the first place.

What did you like specifically about previous maps?

I can't remember much of Asulon but I had that nooby sense of wonder back then.

Anthos was my first real map I got engaged in and it was probably my favourite in terms of aesthetics and exploration.

Athera was just eugh. Too small. Felt like a theme park, not a world.

Vailor is one of my favourite maps to date. They FINALLY did what I wished for this whole time. A big map with lots of space so RP doesnt become cluttered, but fast travels for easy travel.

What would be interesting to see in a future map?

Keep what you got going with Vailor. Big map, fast travels. Maybe more ruins/areas of interest and custom built places for exploration like anthos had.

What keeps you coming back to the server?

My friends.

Events and Interaction:

Does LoTC need an antagonist?

PLEASE GOD NO

Do you think LoTC needs more incentive to explore?

We shouldn't punish players who dont want to explore but making exploration rewarding would be nice.

Do you think the server’s players need to work together more?

Well yeah, always a good ideal to strive for.

Plugins and Development:

What do you think of the skill plugin? Rate the skills plugin on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being your dream plugin that meets every element beyond expectations.

7.5/8 out of ten I suppose. I've encountered little bugs, the plugin is functional and fairly balanced. No real complaints here. Fix breeding please though, my training stick keeps forgetting I own three horses.

What plugins do you think the developers need to work on?

Breeding

Do you feel there are any plugins that you directly interact with that should be changed?

Yeah give us control over how good the items we make are. For example, make it so the longer you wait to pop out a sword, the higher change it has of having a high %. Sucks a bit when even at aengulic its all just based on chance.
