Food and Cooking contest!

Hey guys,

 

So as a coder, I've been always trying to find new recipes and new uses for the chef profession. I found a new way to make food different, and with the addition of beets, I am making new changes to the recipes. Yet, my imagination on food is rather limited, and I take ideas from the players in OOC chat. Even if the profession is removed because of the nexus professions complains, the recipes will still stay, and so I had the idea of making a contest about food! Yay!

 

 

Contest: Creating something with the topic of Food. Can be a drawing, a recipe, a description of a food, a MC build of something associated with food (restaurants, nice looking farms or different types of foods, or etc), a 3D rendering, you name it. No IRL photos or depictions of food, you have to create it! No plagiarism as well. Winners will be decided by me. By submitting you agree to have the submission be allowed to be used in LOTC official media, forums, plugins and wiki and you will be given credit for it.

 

The prizes are as follow, and there will be 3 winners!

• 1 tome of the chef.
• 1000 minas.
• Creation of one new cooking recipe to be adding to cooking, including ingredients, name and description (And your mcname on the description).

 

The grand prize is the creation of the recipe, one that you can think on your own. It does need to follow 4 rules though.

• No character personal recipe (can't have your character's name on it);
• Has to fit LOTC, can't have IRL location in the names or description;
• Has to fit the plugin (don't write 15 lines of description, and be made from items that exist in LOTC);
• Try and create something that is different than the currently implemented recipes (i.e, try not to do burger with cheese).

 

Other honorable mentions may be awarded, and you can create as many as 4 submissions. The contest ends on the 6th of June, and you can either send me a PM with the submission or place a reply to this thread.

While this player no longer plays here is a bunch of recipes for kha' recipes, i doubt you would add them but here they are.

   The Dwelfhumkha. This Orcish delicacy is a deboned dwarf stuffed inside of a deboned elf, further stuffed inside of a deboned human, stuffed inside of a deboned kha, and baked at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for and hour and a half. Season to taste. Feeds a family of four, or one Nurena. I don't know if this is eligible as a submission or not, but I just had to get this idea out to the public somehow.

Halfling Ale Cheesecake

 

A halfling food that has a small bitter taste to it, yet sweet by the numerous toppings of fruit, cream, etc. It is often served at parties, festivals, or any important happenings around.

 

Ingredients:

(Numbers vary Idk)

Pale Ale

Cheese

3 Dough

Wyr Kreem

 

Ingredients:

1 milk

1 packed ice

4 sugar

4 cocoa beans

 

Description:

A creamy dessert made primarily in the mountains of Urguan due to the extreme cold needed to prepare and store it.

 

 

AND I made a picture of the dessert being made! Basically, the process used here is for real life "Thai Ice Cream" which is made in minutes by street vendors by pouring milk and ingredients onto an icy surface, chopping them up and scraping them together until it makes a thick, cold paste, then spreading the paste into a sheet and scraping it up into rolls, as seen here!
