No, it's not false, the one we have right now is pretty garbage in my eyes, I'd much rather have the old one, it was simple enough to use and got the job done, and you could actually read your PMs

Unfortunately there is an issue that exists in programming that has to do with longevity. Generally the development lifespan of the projects we have to undertake to resolve a majority of complaints outlives a vast number of players interest and they move on. By the time we start taking notes on existing issues we've resolved old problems that people got used to. In the meantime, it is taken as an offence or often viewed as incompetence when development for a requested feature is not immediately undertaken upon being noticed or noted. This places us in a difficult situation.

 

We take it with stride and continue to work as best as we can, this is the current issue that our world revolves around but it sure as hell takes more than a fortnight to resolve.

Luckily not long ago we actually took polls and they strongly back my statements up.

RoleplayEngine is an objectively better content experience than the 'ol Roleplay Essentials (may it rest in peace).

If you'd like to read your messages easier just /focus msg and easy as pie you see your messages.

I could care less about your polls, or any other evidence you have to back your claims, but I prefer the old one, and the problem isn't that my chats are clogging up, it's the color, it's this dark grey that's barely even readable, it literally kills my eyes, and ruins the plugin entirely for me

Could sell weapon skins, do actual event creature models, maybe do unique mounts even?

Spoken like someone who hasn't tried the new PVP. Hit detection and horses are broken, bows are insanely OP and warclaims will last hours with cooldowns. 

 

You're well capable of overhauling vanilla PVP, like with Nexus, so why can't you fix this mess like other servers have?

Such salt and unhappy people, one thing i did like with pvp is the war claims, I guess I'm simply gonna have to get use to it. And yes it is possible to get use to. Also, quit being so pissed and mad about how pvp has changed... I currently have no sorrow on what's changed, for as you know by now, I like role play.

Yeah it's possible to get used to it but not everyone /wants/ to get used and there's nothing forcing anyone to stay on lotc. Someone who isn't enjoying themselves won't bother logging on anymore and that's (usually) bad for us! Plus we can always make it more fun so feedback to make it more fun is good.

1.9, love it or hate it, we have to update, we simply cannot stay with 1.8 pvp forever, it's already annoying that half the servers use 1.8 pvp and the other half use 1.9. Eventually we have to update to it, and the sooner we do, the sooner we wil get used to the changes. In the end, let's say lotc is still up in a few years time (hopefully it will :) ), how stupid would it be if we were still on minecraft 1.8, or using minecraft 1.8 pvp.

 

That done, I'm very pleased that we are updating!
