Whilst not technically 'follow' it, it should be heavily inspired by it, or should be a spin off / alternative universe type dealio - like say, your story is about the sudden removal of magic, and whatever ensues.

Would we be allowed to know a brief criteria of what you'd be basing the results off of?
I.e: Vocabulary & sentence structure, story fluidity, relevancy to the theme, etc?

Edit: Also, would it be allowed to write a story that's not specifically about your character? I.e: Writing a story about an IRP experience that the reader would be able to relate to; rather than the author drawing it from their own experiences.

Like I said, as long as it's based in an LoTC like universe, then it's acceptable. That can be a spin off, a narrative, a 1st person recollection, just be creative!

 

As for criteria, it will be literally on anything. Length, how effective your vocabulary is - it's how much I enjoy the story, basically. If it's something I genuinely want to read the end of, then I'll be marking that higher. If it's something that feels like a chore, then it'll get a lower mark.
