Despite the reentry of the Kingdom of the Westerlands into the flock of GOD’s holy Church of the Canon, heresy roams free in the realm, with no means to halt its spread or root it out. Thus, inspired by divine revelation, His Holiness Lucien V ordered the formation of the Canonist League, a defensive alliance betwixt the Canonist nations of the world as a bulwark against heresy. Following in the example of its predecessor during the times of the Schism War, the League shall stand as a stalwart defense against the forces of heresy, and as a beacon of hope to all GOD’s flock.

• To remain faithful to the Canonist Church and it’s teachings

• To prevent the future spread of Stauntonism, ensuring it remains contained within its current boundaries.

• To pledge to defend all Signatories from Heretics and non-humans.

• To not recognize rebellions within member states, pledging to uphold the standing government.

• To accept that a declaration of war against one member state is a declaration of war against all member states.

• To obstruct and condemn heresies with their Holdings

• To guarantee free movement to Priest of the Canon with their Holdings and to Permit free travel of Canonist priest within their Lordships

  • To offer them lodgings, and promise them safe passage.

He'd suddenly reach deep beneath the mail of his armor, brandishing a Lorraine Cross that would've been fitted on a chain, hanging loosely from his neck. He'd clutch the Cross with his guantleted fist, holding it upwards into the morning light before him. The light reflecting off the golden cross and looking pristine as ever. He'd look up, gaze transfixed on the small trinket. He'd let out a sharp sigh, before murmuring, "I have been a Canonist and I always will. While the rest of the Courlanders cling on to this so called true faith, I shall not. I'll not let you down, uncle." He'd say, before tucking the Cross back underneath his mailed shirt.
