The hot sun sank slowly beyond the snowy mountains of Kal’Omith as the small party marched slowly down the road. A pair of dwarves who had turned from the treason of the rebel king, Kerwyr, led the way as the other seven dwarves and an orc friend picked their way slowly through the rubble of the collapsed secret entrance. With rags and cloth stuffed into the gaps of their plate armor to prevent the sound of metal clanking against metal, the crew snuck through the deeproads until they happened upon a closed gate. As the band slowly descended, the orders were given out by the commanders and the seasoned warriors took up positions behind one another in the cavern, each dwed beside a team with which to breach the city. Little did they know the sights they would find as they entered the city upon reaching the entrance.

The city was… empty?

Where once hundreds of dwed lined the streets offering up their wares and conversing with one another, only dust and wooden idols to Wyvrun remained. Where were these amassed armies that the Frostbeard rebels claimed to lead? Where were these brave warriors whose clan supposedly outnumbered all others? Regardless of the apparent lack of inhabitants, the loyalists broke into their squads and moved to secure the various sections of the city. As the front gate was secured, so was the main square, the throne room, and the guild district.

Within the stone hour, not a soul was found in this “great and filled” capital of the Frostbeard rebels.

Within the stone hour, the small band of loyalists had recaptured the city.

Within the stone hour, the capital of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan had been retaken.

Operation Blue October had been a success.
