A Warlord in the Desert

An Iron War-band

Countless banners of varying allegiances danced in the mild wind of the desert evening, creating a border lining around the group of Orcs that had amassed in the valley at the edge of Uzg territory. A war band had begun to assemble, consisting of Orcs from countless clans and many more without. Smoke slithered from the bonfire that had erected in the centre of the group as those present spoke loudly in guttural tones, discussing pressing matters.

The sand thumped with a heavy boot stamping the ground as a giant form dismounted a rhino. Kahn’Braduk, flanked by the Braduks – mostly pure blooded - who stood loyal to the Iron Rhino.

Kahn grunted when the group fell silent upon his presence becoming known, all eyes fell to him – Enrohk’s favoured son dwarfed the rest of the Orcs, standing at least a full head above the tallest other there, and even though he had just lived beyond his fifth hundredth year, his physique was still sculpted from marble.

“I see we have rallied.” The Braduk Warlord said gruffly.

“Kahn’Braduk?” Skar, a clanless Orc who had assembled a gang of Orcs following him. “Last I heard you were off stuck in between the realms of the living and the dead doing Enrohk’s bidding.”

“Perhaps you should mind your tone,” Kahn retorted, glaring to his brother Ghazkoth, “if I am the demon you claim me to be, I’d recommend speaking more softly.” Kahn paced into the middle of the group, eyeing the many Orcs that stood before him. “Times have changed, and they’ll change again. But Orcs, are Iron, we always have been. We are strong and firm, and we will break before we’ll bend. Are we broken, now? It is not for me to say. I’ve lived a long life, and I’ve stopped our kin from breaking before, and now, it is time again. A new Iron Age is dawning, and this, this Iron Warband will pave the way. Spread the word, rally brothers and sisters to the cause.

We have returned.”

Maukmazaukgoth Gorgalak’Lak yawns as he witnesses this assembly in the distance. The orc would scribble something into his notepad with a shard of charcoal. Gorgalak sighs, muttering to himself. “Diz urrk iz ah dark zhomo zympathizer, ahn ah klan traitor.”, says Gorgalak in definite. The orc would scratch his back with his writing utensil as the senile Kahn continued on his rantings. “Furthermore, dis urk iz paranoid. Neveh befur haz dah wagh-natzon been run as smoothly as it did today. Klomp is plenty with aur orcish cavalry, vanguard and ztrategizts, becoming the backbone of the victorious Axis coalition. Vruk’Braduk hopped on his rhino, Azhhurn, because his back horn was broken, and rode off to rejoin his Clan. As long as they were active. “Urukz were meant tuw bi iruhn. Mi ryde tuw juyn mi clan!” He roared before riding off into the sunset.

Warlord Falum of Clan Lur hangs about his throne in the midst of the Lur Den as some of his clansmen tend to his battered and scarred body from his previous encounters.

"Kahn be prowling the Deserts? A pilgrimage of the sands can only further vitalize ones Spirit. If only Lukra could see Kahn still holding strong."

"There is a difference between despising part of a clan, and the entire War Uzg," a snow elf telepathically communicates :(
