Hail, friends of Malinor!

 

 6.0 has finally arrived, and with it comes many brand new changes to the server-- and the forums! The FM team is asking for opinions from YOU on what to do with a (newer) tab you may have noticed!

 

Clubs!

 

Yes, yes. We know you are busy making new friends and building cities on the (amazing) new map, Atlas, but we are curious as to what you all think of this aspect of the forums. The FM team has been debating about what to do with this tab, and we have decided to come to you, the community, for opinions on it. Please let us know your thoughts in the comments. 

 

With any new rollout for the Clubs feature, the main things we are looking at is fixing the obvious problems with the current rollout of Clubs. That being general inactivity with the feature, and a lack of meaningful use for such clubs. One idea that has been tossed around is completely axing the feature, and removing it from the forums. That is still something on the table, however other options for a new iteration of clubs will be explored first.

 

The question we're asking you in this thread is simple, I'll post it here for a quick tl;dr.

 

What would you like to see done with the Clubs feature on the Forums?

FMs killed clubs by moderating them too heavily. Just remove them and stop being wishy-washy about it. Failed project. Good idea, poor implementation and choice in management of it in my opinion.

Clubs are a private forum that voluntarily join and need to be accepted to, really dumb to regulate them

I say remove them but offer people who wish to keep to keep a topic they have posted in it to be moved to its appropriate forum section.
