Hey everybody, so if you didn't know already the Devs recently rolled out a nifty little update that now lets you make a modreq for each staff team. The ET is no exception but there's some pretty big differences between an etreq and your standard modreq, so I'm just briefly going to outline a couple of guidelines you should bear in mind when you're using this new system, which is still very much an experiment for the ET.

______________________________________________________________________

GUIDELINES

  • You can make an etreq by typing out /etreq [request]
  • You should mainly use etreqs for interactions with eventsites and locations. So for example, /etreq "I just found an eventsite at X location and I would like to interact with it". This will stay open until the relevant ET comes online, sees your ticket, gets in touch and arranges an event with you.
  • You should +1 this post.
  • You shouldn't except super fast responses. Unlike GMs the ET is not dedicated to answering tickets as our main workload and it's an ongoing experiment for the Team. There's also some big differences between an etreq and a modreq; even quick-time encounter events take time to perform with quality and so this depends vastly on which ET are online at the time of your request and if any of them have the time to do it at that particular moment. If you've got a group of friends hanging about and want an event or if you're from a playerbase that needs a trial done or something similar, pop up a req and if an ET has the time they'll get around to it, but please don't except modreq response times.
  • We stiiiiiiiiiill don't take specific or scripted event requests. For example, please don't come to us with a request like "hey can I have an event where I find a direwolf and tame it and make it my pet in RP'". You can ask for a hunt or something like that, but we never do events that facilitate players with a requested outcome.

__________________________________________________________________________

So those are the main points. If you've got any questions you can just ask down below or my Discord (Conor#8203) is always open to the community. In other news, we'll be rolling out the contest of the Seasons of Atlas results on Friday, I'll have an event post up for Saturday and we'll be rolling out a new ET project after the Warclaim this Saturday as a little experiment. Stay classy and +1 if blue tags=poo tags.

This will actually help me a lot, I had so many times I ran past events because I was unable to get in touch with the one in control of the event.

+1

(PS mostly because of my time-zone this happened.)

Realistically all events should be started from an event sign at least (possibly with an event name and player cap/req), something as simple as asking a tavern owner to put an event sign in their tavern. Directors should create events getting LT, builders and skins where needed, then actors be the ones answering the reqs and simply getting the information from a form archive of all current active event signs.* You can literally operate it like an MMO and Directors hold votes on most popular events for both actors and the community (because if the actors find it boring all events die) then keep them and work on the next season of events with the LT and Builders, maybe even making part 2 of a storyline and when released decommissioning the less successful or old events.

Most personal requests can be done by people themselves but generic hunts and stuff could be spread in certain locations, I feel asking an ET to do an event wherever you want it quickly gets taxing on the creativity of the volunteer workforce who join because they personally want to create cool stuff people will appreciate

*It's simple to think that when a req is made, the player number is met and the actor is ready they go into the ET form, go to the current event archive where a post will hold all the needed information and skins (hell you could even have named chests in an et warehouse ingame  with the reward('s) pre made for ease). The doc would include directions of where to take them, map cords etc, rp directions, weakness' etc. all information for any active actor to grab the skin and rp the event. This system would even continue to be fresh as new seasons of events are released and old ones removed.

Now you can stop making us modreqs asking us to roleplay your cow.

By the way, this is entirely your fault @Chorale_

Oops.
