Issue One

Abolishing House Taxes, and other issues

Just a few elven days ago, Lord Azoth Hawksong wrote his bill that clearly outlined the structure of the Dominion government, got rid of all house taxes, set up religious freedom, and gave Dominion citizens the right to bear arms. Since then, a massive flood of people have entered the Dominion, and the homeless population as tripled since the high house taxes (50 mina for slums, 100 for medium, and 170 for high end) were destroyed. If you know anybody that is homeless or currently struggling to get a home, please contact you're local Prince or Steward.

Fearls, The Blight Against The Holy Light

In the most shocking act I have witnessed, and I have witnessed many things, resident Cleric Seyer declared in Dominion town square that I quote "All Fearls are a blight on the Lord's work, and we will exterminate them or force them to change.". Another Dark Elf stepped up and agreed with Seyer's statement. It attracted quite a bit of a crowd, in which The Lotus Druid stepped forth and offered Seyer a chance of peaceful talks, but Seyer declined, saying "Get rid of that unholy cruse and then I'll think about it." Could this be the Clerics re-rising against the Dominion, much like the Ascended did?

New Business's

New shops have sprung up within the Dominion. Most notably,

-Antras's Magical Wares.

-Talar's Magical Wares.

-The Witch's Tarot Tent.

-Massage Parlor.

Please go check them out, they fuel the Dominion's bank!

Tune in for the next newspaper, locally and privately funded, for all gossip in the Dominion!

"To rise against the Dominion is a fools death wish. If the ferals are unwilling to find a cure for their affliction. Then out of my own kindness and out of my own voice of pleading with them. I will do the work that they are so lazy to work on."

The mentioned cleric would hit the books.

"That other 'Ker better not have been Aerith" States a Dominion officer, reading the paper over once more, before putting it with all the other missives, letters, and papers he kept. "Or Alakagh, for that matter."

"I've been living the Dominion since it has been formed. I've even honorably served in the dark elven military Div'cruan and the Archons for elven years before retiring from these duties. Why would I even rise against the Dominion since it has been my home? I have friends and family here," said Alakagh as he's reading the newspaper. "The ferals are such a worrying issue."

Elvira would read the paper and her eyebrows would vanish into her hairline at the news of her old order targeting Ferals. Yet she would recall what she knew about Ferals and she would nod softly.

A few moments later, a note is placed up and is unsigned.

"Given by how a cleric's light can affect the Ferals and the fact that the clerics have to kill those who are harmed by their light, it is considered their duty. A cleric will have to end a dark being, else they will be placed at risk of disconnection. Unlike the Paladins and the Ascended who can spare a dark being's life if it benefits their Mission, the Clerics of Tahariae cannot spare those considered impure by Tahariae's light, which includes Ferals. That's what I went through as a cleric, as will many others, and many should realise that the clerics are merely doing their duty like any other. Yes, it can be seen as unfair but those who take on the Feral's Curse know what they are getting themselves into and accept the fact that they will be hunted down. Clerics accept the burden that they will have to end those of impurity, even if they were once friends. That is the life of a Cleric - it is not fair but if it means being able to consider the larger picture and aid others, then it is a life many clerics are willing to take.

Also. Why would the clerics rise up against the Dominion? An order going against a nation is suicide and for the clerics, it is near disconnection worthy as it sways them from their duty and Tahariae does not approve of His Clerics fighting descendants. Furthermore, many of the clerics have homes and families within the Dominion and do you truly believe that they would just throw it all away just for one thing? They would not, they are sensible and I trust them to do what is right. Therefore to write that this could be a potential uprising from the clerics demonstrates the writer's lack of understanding on the clerics and I advise them to learn of the Clerics' point of view on this before posting information that they hear. A newspaper writer must consider both sides of a story and be knowledgeable in what they write about, which is something this writer failed to demonstrate. Learn of what you are posting before you actually post it.

Lastly, there's is the risk of the Feral curse reaching someone who will abuse the power and harm descendants. Perhaps even go on a rampage and devour those present. Ferals need to eat meat in order to keep themselves stable, but what if a Feral hasn't eaten such and goes on a rampage in a square? If you ask me, this curse should not be spreading around to the point where it can fall into the hands of those who will abuse it. I have friends who are Ferals and I do trust them to use their abilities as a Feral wisely, yet I cannot help but wish for them to free themselves of this curse, as it will only endanger not just themselves but those around them, especially if they go into a rampage near innocents. So I urge the ferals to please cease in using this curse before a situation arises that will cause more harm than good to everyone.

Is it truly worth the risk of having this curse about when it benefits no one, especially not benefiting the Descendants?"

A plated figure moans and rants within a forest of pine "The he-wolves will be cut down with axes, bled like pigs, broken by mace and burnt at the stake, I will take their ashes and bones and grind them in the mills... Then I will bake what remains into bread... So it can be shat out again."

"Drama for the sake of drama. I bet you it is written by someone who claims to be sick of drama, but happily spreads more." sighs out a hooded wood elf, his marked eyes staring towards the center of Caras Eldar. "This devisive tactic is simply a weakman's may of trying to ruin the grand unity of the Dominion."

"ker sigh before crumbling up and throwning what helds news on the ground" An this why I'm more and more leaning to stop even going in the Dominion as all of these ascended or clerics try purge things even though it's made by another deity made being. But, whatever this just help it possibly turn out like sutica if it does continue that's all there is to it. "Ker mumble this to himself alone before shaking his head going about his day like normal while continuing to smoke a cigar that smelled strong of blue berry"
