[ET Contest] Predict the Wall Event

Recommended Posts

I think that there might be something to do with Dragons. One of fire and the other of ice.

My other guess is of a stone that has not yet been completed but now they will try to complete it, and maybe that will awaken the dragons or something like that.

My third guess also involves Dragons. Maybe they use these dragons to take over Constantinople.

Either way, something that would shed more light onto the Vaeyl Order and their fight with the fallen Aengul. (I got these ideas from the books I found in an event area and the hint)

I believe there will be ancient runes which are frozen in time and ice, as the first descendant wizards tried to keep the great tide away from where the younger descendants will reside today. The caverns inside the wall are now home to other creatures, ones that have found shelter in the remains of a forgotten civilisation.

Out from the wall, the Fire Spirits come forth to wreak havoc upon all of Atlas once more.

"They've come." Echoes across the lips of many on Atlas. From th USA to the NAA. From the Barrowlords of Mysticism to the Archdruii of the Mother Circle.

Old crimes are forgiven, old enemies are still enemies, but survival is a priority above all. The denizens of Atlas have a choice, tunnel through that ******* wall or die.

The north is no longer inhabitable, the beasts saw to that. It wasn't even a siege, it was a slaughter. Those surviving now are the ones that fled, the men and women brave enough to stand against the tide have long since perished, the kingdoms of old fallen to ruin in its wake.

Humanity has united, but not under Oren, under necessity. Norland's transgressions have been put on hold, their archipelago was not nearly as safe from the coming hordes as anticipated. The Red dine with the Canon on this journey southward; their meager supplies shared willingly, and every able bodied man carrying an icepick rather than a sword.

The sons of Krug march south, the drums of war ringing out, but their siege weaponry is trained on no descendant holding, but rather the snow and ice.

Fenn guides their long hated kin through the fjords, an army of massive proportion comprised of the Ame, Aheral, and Ker all working in unison with their vast array of both physical and magical capabilities, desperately attempting to bore through the structure.

The many clans of dwed unite once more under a common banner, so that they may stand in greater numbers, knowing full well they'd need each other in the time to come.

Druids command the evergreens this deep south to do what nature does best, erode the massive structure. The shamans enlist in the spirits' aid, the mystics command their paleknights to descend upon the ice, the necromancers send legions of ghouls, liches, and darkstalkers with an assortment of weapons. Those of Xan, Tahariae, and Aeriel make use of their mists, light, and flame to their best capability. The shades' amber helps where it can.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\
Not a year later, all of the continent is abandoned, save for those so desperately clinging on to their material possessions they'd rather die than part with them.
Nearly sixty percent of the continent was decimated before progress was made. The dwarves make the first crack, while morale had gone nearly dry in the recent months, murmurs of potential spread, rumours as to how they did it spread, and before long ice was being rent from the wall by the tons.
It seemed this angered them. These disgusting creatures, the noise became loud, and the slow but steady pressing southward of their force hastened to an extreme level, scholars had predicted just under another elven week before the descendant defensive line first caught sight of their assailants, but now it was looking like not two elven days.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was horrifying. Those who survived would remember Atlas, and the defense of the wall for the rest of their lives. The brave men and women who sacrificed themselves to give the diggers more time were erected a grand shrine of memorium in the Cloud Temple. They realized now, what many had thought the wall's purpose to be was incorrect. It was not some device, created by an ancient race, to keep monster out. It was a device, created by the leaders of those horrible things, to keep their prey in.

During the rush to escape, the enemy faltered. They'd never failed in eradicating anyone foolish enough to venture to Atlas before, and it seemed these mortals were even more tenacious than anticipated.

In spite of this, many died. Noble houses were partially destroyed across the board, kings, princes, Sohaer’s, Chieftains, none of them were safe, and really the defensive line was a gambit to buy more time, fodder, rather than a military force with victory in mind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Haelun!” She cries, as her mother trips and the young wood elven girl is rushed forward by the crowd, her mother’s screams quickly being muffled by her own being trampled to death in the exodus. The tears pour from her eyes, and after a time she is forced to squint; it is light again, and a calm flurry of snow cascaded down from the clouds. She looks around, and there are no familiar faces among the crowd. It seemed it was made up of every race, every faith, but she couldn’t see her family.
There was terror in everyone’s eyes, they all turned around to face the tunnel, and could just make out the light from Atlas on the other side; the stragglers continued to come through, and the defensive line was inching back as best it could, but dropping like flies all the while. Soon, it became clear that if they attempted to pass through the tunnel, the creatures would eradicate them, and continue southward, so the order was given. Charges were detonated and the tunnel was collapsed, saving the descendents and condemning both those still north and the creatures to the cold stare of the wall.
Once more, the descendants have survived an event that they had no gods given right to.
((Regardless of how right or wrong this ends up being, was fun to write up
Global warming causes the southern glaciers to melt and the sea level to rise, submerging Atlas entirely.
The wall melts, submerging anything below 75y. The races are forced to move onto the surviving land masses, and live in very close proximity. Also, some kind of dragon/lich/demonspawn comes from behind the wall and tries to eat/murder/disembowel everyone.
(I have no idea what Constantinople is, other than another name for Istanbul. This is just a random guess.)
When the Vaeyl depart for Deep Harbour, the sons and daughters of Krug will follow the path, if not the entire War Nation, Vorgak surely will either reach the destination or die trying. The supposed Orcs from Deep Harbour will be worshipping one or more ancient Spirits which seem to be unknown by the regular Orc, thus discovering these new deities and perhaps some will choose to praise them. This new civilisation of Orcs will either welcome or want to slaughter the incoming kin of Krug, depending on the approach or (supposed) relationship with the Vaeyl.
I believe that what stands past the Ice Wall will not bring the end of Atlas, but rather a new civilisation which will lead to the evolution of the Orc race, new discoveries for the Uruks, Goblins and Ologs to grasp.
Whatever it is, @Xarkly don't ******* spoil too much about it because the event is enjoyable and we're eager for the follow up.
A funky drawf god makes legendary swords under the wall and when you knock at the top of his house he goes nuts all while blasting Sabaton.
THE WALL MEANT NOTHING to the fair people of Atlas. It did no harm and only helped to block the winds at certain time's. Often times, children could be seen playing on the wall. "I betchya I can get higher den ya!" All worrisome mother's would laugh and call to these children to be careful, but there was no real concern. The wall was not a threat. Or so Atlas thought. For the Wall was growing. Slowly stretching around to enclose all of Atlas, sealing everyone in. Sealing everyone's doom. There was, however, a pass. The fair people of Atlas could escape if they moved quickly enough, before the Wall closed and they were caught in a seemingly eternal winter. But trouble has arisen. In this time of chaos, a pack of Kharajyr hunt out an enemy tribe of Humans. The Chief's wife manages to escape with their child, but who knows where they have fled to. Can you rescue this child, return it to it's family, and make it to the pass in time? Who knows. But the Ice Age has already begun.
