New Nexus??? [POLL TO GATHER FEEDBACK]

Hello, I’ve been thinking about a system that involves energy and optional grind, which I will write tomorrow after gathering feedback to suggest to the staff as a replacement for Nexus which should, hopefully, fit in with both playerbases. So I decided to make a thread to gather feedback and get to know what people both disliked and liked about Nexus so I can try to get things right in the first try :)

 

THIS IS ONLY TO GATHER FEEDBACK, NOT TO GET AN ACTUAL DISCUSSION GOING.

Ngl I really don't think there are the resources on the dev team atm to make something like a new nexus happen. Nexus was a freakin monster and it’s not like we can reuse old code it’s so out of date not to mention it was really interesting code, to say the least.

      I think I’ll give my two cents about this, just because there are a few things I liked about Nexus. I wouldn’t mind the return of a profession system just for the hell of it. It wouldn’t need to give PvP buffs, or anything meaningful, but something as simple as after cutting 10,000 logs, getting haste when you cut more, would be lovely. I have no desire to see the grind-fest or gated material crafting system, but I would just like if it created minor, flavorful benefits for those who want to spend their time doing a bit of light grinding. 

 

     Having Aengulic Woodcutting on my character card was satisfying. I liked it. I also enjoyed caskets, too. Bring back caskets, even if they only have a few minas in them, or a music disk here and there! Raa Raa!

Devs don’t have the desire or the manhours available to revive nexus. No matter how many of these posts you make its just not happening unless we get a bunch of super hyphy new devs on the team.

I love our devs and don’t want them to be overworked. I just miss being able to make string from wool.
