Regarding the Russ Mercenaries

Issued on behalf of the AIS High Council in 1735

As of 1735 the Alliance of Independent States does formally sever all connections with the Mercenaries of Russ. The contract was signed by a benevolent benefactor dwelling within an AIS state. However no signatory and certainly no collective council consented to their association with the alliance. To that end the Mercenaries of Russ have attacked a citizen of a neutral nation, an action clearly beyond the confines of their contract. We, the High Council of the Alliance of Independent states do disavow their actions and bar them from further association with our Alliance.

The Dwedmar of the Under-Realm have maintained their strict isolation and neutrality in foreign conflict up until this point. They have committed no offence against any member state of the AIS nor do they threaten the sovereignty or independence of those aforementioned signatories. To that end offence against they or their citizens is entirely without justification. Our condolences go out to all those affected by the barbarism of certain members of Russ.

Ruswick is hereby barred from any association with the AIS or its member states

Issued on Behalf of the AIS High Council

The Duke of Westmark would nod "Another good decision of the Alliance of Independent States. There's no place for treacherous bandits like Ruswick in our mighty alliance"

A merchantwoman nodded, resting her cheek against her hand. “Never should have associated with bandits in the first place... but it seems the lessons have been learned.”
