Foreword

 

Our cause is a moderate one, based in the traditions that have made us the foremost global power, and loyal to the Empress to the end.

 

We live in a fair and tolerant nation, where we tell all people that they will achieve by their merit. But the reality is that our government is tired and bloated, and unable to find new ideas and new blood. This is not for lack of competence, but because of a decades long influx of ideas. Our amazing people deserve a new vision that is born out of the same ideals of dignity for all, justice, and opportunity.

 

Our Imperial Diet needs new life. For a fairer Oren, which treats its ISA as they deserve, which invests in our heritage: vote Unionist this election.

UNIONIST VALUES

 

EQUALITY

Our central vision is of a just society which is founded on fairness of all. We believe in the fundamental right that every man and woman should have equal opportunities in Oren.

 

OPPORTUNITY

We want all Orenians to have the opportunity to realise their potential and to make the most out of their competence. We want them to participate in their communities, feel valued, and share in our prosperity.

 

FREEDOM

For the Unionist, freedom is the essential right to fully participate in our public sphere without fear of recourse and violence. We recognise that to have a free and just society, we  must support the personal rights of all men.

 

HERITAGE

We want every Orenian to know their history and to share in our communities richly woven tapestry of man. Without respect for our traditions and our faith, we cannot hope to lead a moral life in the eyes of our God and our Empress.

 

SOLIDARITY

We recognise the obligations of every citizen to stand as a whole for the good of society. Our solidarity is defined by our compassion for our fellow man, and the responsibility at the heart of who we are.

THE CROWN

 

Our Imperial Crown is the single greatest institution that this world has ever conceived of. As a party and as a people, we will continue the everlasting struggle to assert the legitimacy of the sovereign in our constitutional monarchy.

 

As patriots, we will endeavour to always protect our Empress. Our hearts, minds, and loyalty will always be to the Crown and its soldiers. The Unionists fervently support the legal rights of the Crown stated in the Exordium on Imperial Authority. Namely, that the sovereign has ultimately absolute power of state.

 

Unionist or otherwise, if we all rally around the flag then there is nothing that Orenians cannot do. We will embody that spirit in government.

JOBS, JOBS, JOBS

 

Whether it be getting people into work for the first time or security in your position, we recognise that to have a working society we must keep our citizens busy and productive. 

 

The Unionists will invest in our people through a long-term infrastructure spending plan, so that we have confidence in our ability to dynamically develop our surroundings and to transport people around the Empire.

 

The Unionists will always try their best to find a home for every man. We recognise that the only way to have possession of your own destiny is to have a roof that you own over your head. We will invest in building homes that are spacious and still efficient to cater to all groups of Oren.

 

The Unionists will work with all regions in our nation to develop an economic plan to seed success. We will invest into our regions, and make sure that they have the resources available to continue their work as loyal Orenians.

SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESS

 

Small business ventures are the heart of our economy. We want to give practical support to our entrepreneurs so that they can continue to grow. 

 

The Unionists will establish a Small Business Scheme to permanently finance small businesses so that they can invest in our wider success and to assess a new strategy in how the government interacts with its business.

 

The Unionists believe in buying Orenian, so we will procure armaments and national resources from private business ventures so that work is spread out in a more effective way.

FISCAL MANAGEMENT

 

At this moment of national change we must have responsible hands on our treasury, demonstrating calm and an analytical path to investment and spending. Our fiscal strategy will carefully manage our public finances, whilst delivering on the core promises of opportunity and prosperity.

 

We are committed to taking a balanced approach to control our public finances and building our money pot. 

 

Our FIVE POINT PLAN will build areas of the economy to invest back into our people, businesses, our ISA and our government programmes:

 

Create Jobs: for any working economy we must have a productive population, and that means expanding our public sector and taking a layered approach in letting Orenians organise their own economy without great government meddling.

 

Invest in our Heritage: our fiscal plan puts the people of Oren first. We need to now invest in our communities, our culture, and our military.

 

Prepare for the Future: our plan involves investing in the longer-term challenges that we face in the coming decades. The Unionists will responsibly invest in critical public services to ensure our security in a multipolar world. We will prioritise sustainable economic growth and carefully manage our government finances through budget analysis, reviews, a meticulous baseline delivery focus, and value-for-money procurement programmes.

 

Support Small Businesses: we need to back our business with practical boosts to our economic sectors so that Orenian entrepreneurs can be at the top of their game.

 

Find Our Place in the World: the Unionists will position our nation on the global stage so as to trade with our friends and invest in our allies, so that we can find our place and take a head start.

INVESTING IN OUR CULTURE

 

Our creative industry is the envy of the world and a source of national pride to us, a driver of business and investment, and a symbol of the type of country we are. Rallying under the flag of Oren, we can make our culture accessible and apparent to all.

 

We will establish a brand new Office for Culture, serving a wider Arts and Culture Council and pouring in a massive spending programme to invest through a Heritage Fund. Our programme will be the biggest arts infrastructure investment in the history of Oren, with a hope to transform our creative sector through a targeted education plan.

 

We will invest in our heritage, allowing every citizen to access our history and the symbols that make our nation great through art displays and national fetes.

 

The Unionists will end the cuts to our cultural sector and re-envision the way that libraries and museums work.

 

The Unionists will launch a ‘Tailoring Campaign’ with a view to subsidise the expense of garments and clothing across the nation, giving every Orenian access to a sturdy pair of boots and good clothes.

 

The Unionists will back a National Arms Scheme to give affordable grants to businesses and entrepreneurs exploring the rich heritage of our heraldic achievements.

EQUALITY

 

The Unionists are dedicated to achieving an Oren where no-one is alienated, where politics and people can come together. As a government, we will consistently stand in solidarity with all demographics, including women, other races and intelligent non-persons.

 

The Unionists will tackle society’s burning injustices, boosting legal representation for those not legally allowed to represent themselves, such as intelligent non-persons. 

 

We will invest massively in reforming the justice system to ensure that every trial is fair and free of bias, and that you can get legal representation if you want it. The Unionists will ensure that legal aid is a given in all circumstances.

 

A Unionist government will establish an inquiry into the viability of enshrining further rights of man into our legal system.

 

As a party, we strongly condemn all forms of racism. Canonist dignity and integrity teaches that we treat all people with respect, and in government we will do just that.

 

For many decades the dignity of those people maimed and injured has been degraded. The Unionists will champion the cause of those in society who have been handicapped through no fault of their own, giving them a path into public service and beyond.

 

We will:

• Uphold basic Orenian rights to health, trial and representation.
• Support mothers, ensuring that women have access to all walks of life no matter their marital status or maternity.

OPENING GOVERNMENT

 

The Unionists recognise that Oren’s politics need to change. Our tired democracy has produced career politicians and an echo-chamber of legislation where nothing changes. Again and again, the Orenian people have been taught to expect little, and get less.

 

The Unionists support calls to reorganise the Ministry of Justice and will aid the restoration of the Imperial Constabulary in order to guarantee that the imperial law is properly enforced throughout all the Empire.

 

The Unionists wholeheartedly support calls to remove the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of War from the political machine as to restore the integrity and the impartiality of their offices.

 

After almost half a century, our scrutinisation of government is no more advanced than it was then. Our promised open and transparent government is nowhere to be seen. Politicians are not held accountable for their actions. Government positions are given out by the bucket load. The Imperial Diet is still the plaything of the career politician.

 

Orenians are the ones that pay the price for excessive regulation agendas. The control on people's lives is far greater now than at any point in recent history.

 

The Unionists will crack open our civil service, ensuring that every servant of the nation must swear an oath of service, committing themselves to non-partisanship and neutrality above all. A free and fair transition of government cannot happen if our bureaucracy is diseased with political appointees.

 

The Unionists will make the civil service representative of all demographics of Oren by opening up applications publicly, as well as establishing an ‘Imperial Test’ to assess candidate competence, ensuring that future generations of Orenians are well served by their bureaucracy.

 

We will introduce a Freedom of Information Act to allow any citizen to directly hold politicians and ministers to account by law.

 

We will establish an Ethics Committee run by ordinary citizens and selected at random in order to facilitate debate and open inquiries into the way that government is conducted.

SECURITY AND THE MILITARY

 

The Unionists understand the sacrifices made by Imperial State Army personnel and veterans. Without them, we would not exist as a nation. Their unparalleled dedication and service should be held up as a standard for all the world to see. A Unionist Government will be there for the military, forever, and with no strings attached.

 

We will establish an Office for Veteran’s Affairs and we will guarantee a paid place for veterans in any public service role that they apply for. A Unionist Government will use the Office to create a plan of housing and property allocation, with a view for vacant land loaned in trust to honourably discharged veterans.

 

We will constantly invest in training and the best equipment for our Imperial State Army, and constantly champion their contribution to our nation through a legislated national holiday for fallen soldiers, national parades, and festivals displaying our military prowess.

 

The Unionists will create a national review of our military capabilities, followed by the establishment of a Doctrine and Concepts Office in order to work with a range of experts to help inform defence strategy, doctrine and operational level Orenian thematic publications.

THE HERITAGE OF A NATION

 

We recognise that education makes our country stronger and increases the bonds which hold us together as Orenians.

 

We will create a National Education Council to ensure oversight and coordination of continuous improvement in our educational facilities alongside the Secretary for Civil Affairs. We will establish an Imperial University, so that we may increase the standard of our peoples education and consistently adapt to the fast changing pace of our demographics.

 

We will invest real money into the establishment of internships schemes for aspiring professionals in public services. A Unionist government will recognise the potential of every Orenian to serve their nation.

 

The Unionists will restore the legacy of Simon Basrid and conduct a review into the revival of Fabric of State lectures to teach our citizens about the importance of moderation in government, the exercise of prudence, and living simply with God.

CONCLUSIONS

 

This is our plan for a stronger Oren and a more prosperous future for everyone. Our vision of the Empire is one that is safe, united and free. One that continues to be moderate, intolerant to corruption, and dedicated to a government that can be accountable to its citizens.

 

We seek to overturn the radicalism of the past. We hold dear the founding principles of the Josephite Union. But as Edward Selm once wrote, “the Josephite clings to the Imperial Crown, the establishment, and pretends to absorb themself into it.” We must embody the vision of a constitutional monarchy like our predecessors, but we must not let corruption destroy our systems and our fairness.

 

This election will determine the course of our lives. In this moment of key national change, the Unionists will seek to provide the stability and security that this nation needs. For the justice of all Orenians. 

 

For the dignity of every man, woman, and child.

 

For a belief in the Crown, our God, and our Holy Empire.
