someome 2053 Popular Post Share Posted March 2, 2021 Spoiler The lands begin swelling with more natural energy. The wilds continue to fester with more and more activity. As time goes on, Almaris starts to become busy. Strange creatures could commonly be seen closer and closer to cities. Briefly in the skies is a dragon with scales of an emerald hue. And soon, into the minds of all those druidically attuned a vision would be seen. "Our Kin have been lacking." A red-headed Mali'ame would begin. Strange tattoos decorate her body, and she seems odd to the eye. "Not enough has been done. We are not as good as we should be, and a test has been commenced. Too many of our kin sit in houses and tend to families. Too many do not take to travels and handling of Duties." "Too many have been negligent." She seems to pause, and turns. A familiar man with purple hued eyes stands before a tree, holding a twisting dagger. The woman walks up to the man, and he closes his eyes. A large, round tablet of stone hovers between the man and a tree, and she'd direct the dagger. Impaling the man roughly onto the tree, piercing him and the stone tablet. Three cracks splinter out from the center of the stone. "I took these for safety and looked upon your histories, and I have found them lacking. So this is a testing grounds. A trial. My beacons are placed, and the lands will overrun if you do nothing. I will come soon to return the stones to those deem worthy, whom pass my trials and prove to me that the Druids of this Era are worth it." "I will be watching through my proxies. And soon enough, I will be watching you myself. If you wish for peace, for the stones, for your Brothers return. Then do as a druid should do." "I am Taynei'Hiylun, Herald of the Aspects. May your attempts be blessed by the Wilds, for the longer you take, the worse it becomes." The vision ends as suddenly as it had begun, leaving all druids affected with a distinct feeling of shock. It would seem the vision, despite its length, took place in less than a second or two. OOC: With this post, we herald in the beginning of the next major eventline on LOTC. Though many aspects of this have its roots in Druidism and their community, there are still opportunities for everyone to join in on the fun. There are four beacons placed around the map for players to interact with. Should you come across one of these and wish to participate, simply make an /sreq that you’d like to interact with said beacon. Maybe you want to hunt a fae creature? Maybe you just want to have a nice chat? Or maybe you’re planning something more nefarious? The beginning of this eventline is very open-ended, with countless opportunities for character development. Later on, when Taynei’Hiylun’s trials start, you will be able to schedule these events ahead of time. Even if you’re someone who works every weekend and misses out on all the big, fun events, you still have a chance to participate in these. Think of these events as DND-esque encounters. Maybe there’ll be puzzles, combat, or a mixture of the two. Groups can be both large and small (events with less than 10-15 participants are preferred, however). Though these trials will be more focused on Druids and those within their community, anyone can join as long as they are accompanied by an attuned Druid. They may need to bring in unusual allies to overcome Taynei’s trials. Every trial will have a PK and disconnection clause. There are major consequences to participating. Though this seems harsh, you need to really mess up for these things to happen. The chances of them happening are very very low, and you need to do very specific things to find your character succumbing to either of these. Please enjoy this eventline I have prepared. There are many ST involved and ready to provide events using this as the basis. Cheers! ((CREDIT TO LUMIIN FOR FORMATTING THEY THE BEST))
Junoix 2301 Share Posted March 2, 2021 The Fox Druid gasps as the vision subsides, looking to her mother and partner with eyes glowing gold. Determination begins to steel the sorrow and rage within her, brows furrowing as she murmurs something to herself. "I will save you, grandpa."
NomadGaia 930 Share Posted March 2, 2021 The old crow looks on after the vision fades from her sight, out into the ocean, where the suns rays reflected twilight off the neverending, shifting dunes of water. She'd take a deep breath, nodding as she accepted the task laid before her by her patron- to her and all druii that still keep to the blessed path. "So it will be." The elder druidess would march off, The Staff of Orison's Hearth in one hand, and Taynei's Fang in the other, to carry out the mission laid before here, joined at the side by her granddaughter, and one of her closest friends. The Oracle would answer the call. ((don't mind me while I shamelessly plug this commission... thank you for the piece, Nummy!))
AfroJoeTheOlogBro 1095 Share Posted March 2, 2021 An old, scarred and maimed goblin sits within the depths of the Krugmarian jungles. Despite not being a druid, even he can notice the surge of growth amongst the flora and fauna alike, humming to himself as he looks about from his small swamp. "Hrm......Zeemz Freygoth herzelf iz danzin in duh Uzg....kuriouz tidinz indeed....."
Unwillingly 18133 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Wildfire sunk against the wall after the vision, shocked and momentarily stunned as he looked around for a moment. Pushing himself to his feet, he strode off to seek his brothers and sisters.
Criala 729 Share Posted March 2, 2021 The vision was enough to cause the Lilac druid to freeze, seated beneath the willow tree with her staff resting across her lap. Once the vision ended, she took in a deep breath, letting it sink in for a moment or two. "Hareven..." With a firm nod, Vienele tightened the hold she had on her staff, soon easing herself up so she could make her way into the burrow beneath the willow tree to speak to her partner. "It must be done, llir, to bring you home." Spoiler I blame @NomadGaiafor making me want to use my nummy art after using his
RaiderBlue 1064 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Brother Spore reared his head back as the vision ended as it came as a thorough shock to the younger Druid. A huff releasing from the 'ame as he was briefly reminded of his interaction with the being a elven day prior.
HazelWazel 463 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Elenora Zytiaear was in mid speech as the vision appeared, her whole body tensing. It took only a moment to process for the druidess, before she found herself running full sprint towards a certain location. Many thoughts raced through her head, but one stood out."It will not be easy. But you will come home."
OhDeerLord 673 Share Posted March 2, 2021 "And so it's begun." The old elf glances out, looking over the stump of tangled roots. He lets out a steady breath, and straightens the set of his shoulders.
Luciloo 2680 Share Posted March 2, 2021 "Where life goes, so too should you," Nivndil thinks to herself, eyes closed for several long minutes after the vision concludes. Taking in a steady breath, she then releases it. A hand reaches out for her staff, which leans into her hold and soon finds her fingers gripping it firmly. "Back to work, old friend.."
Endaaron 82 Share Posted March 2, 2021 The Phoenix Druid's eyes open wide after the vision fades, a cold sweat covering her as she takes a shaky breath "We have work to do..." She stands from where she had been meditating in the wilds "So so much work to do" She gulps as her eyes along with her tattoos light up, she focuses on the voices of nature, trying to calm herself before she begins moving through the wilds.
WestCarolina 1784 Share Posted March 2, 2021 Among the druii of the woodland realm of Elvenesse, the Bruin straps her speared staff to her back whilst bending to retrieve Bluejay's axe from the ground. Miven Caerme'onn looks to her right toward Andria, then her left to Awaiti giving a knowing, cheeky grin. ((GEG))@Delmodan@NomadGaia
Gladuos 869 Share Posted March 2, 2021 An ancient sleeping mind stirs at the advent of such a widespread communion. It grumbles with the cracking of branches. An enormous tree shakes the earth in a field of crows."Brotheh Bluejay..." The tree muses. Then it sleeps again, and all returns to normal.
