An Invitation to the Displaced in Ando Alur

 

 

To the Citizens of Ando Alur,

 

We Vasoyevi residing in Vasiyeva have seen the plight of you, our northern neighbors and our hearts weep in compassion for the loss of your homes, your livelihoods, your friends, your family. Words alone cannot express our sorrow at the catastrophe that rocked your fair land. The people of Vasiyeva and Ando Alur have always been friends. I have always felt welcomed in your home in the clouds. In this time of turmoil and strife, when hope seems failing, we, your friends and neighbors, wish to reach out a open hand. Long ago, we discussed being the breadbasket for Ando Alur. Now, let us be a refuge. We open our land and homes to the displaced people of Ando Alur, offering them shelter, fire, food, and drink. We are a welcoming people, a people of tolerance and cheer. We hope to welcome you while you find a new place to live, a new place to love.
