A New Hope [Wedding]

As the Sakura leaves quietly fell along the Tianrui district, preparations were commencing for a celebration in the temple. A welcomed change from the ever-present chaos of the Jade Gambit, the members of the Ishikawa Family & the Chen Family would assemble to celebrate the union of Ishikawa Akihiko and Chen Linli.

As members of the Jade State set aside any present anxiety for the sake of a celebration, the couple hoped the ceremony could provide a moment of levity for the city they loved so dearly. The special day would follow traditional festivities.

Parade

The long-awaited and auspicious wedding will first begin with a parade as is traditional. The bride will be met at the home she was preparing in, where she’d be escorted into a palanquin and taken to the temple amidst great fanfare.

 

Ceremony

When the palanquin arrives at the temple, the bride will be escorted out and into the temple where a monk will begin the ceremony. Respect is offered to the parents, before a cup of wine is shared and the ceremony concludes.

 

Catering and Performance

 

With the conclusion of the wedding, the festivities will continue to the Tianrui teahouse where those will be invited to partake in a variety of food and drinks, alongside various entertainment organized for the prosperous event.

Ishikawa Akihiko smiled brightly as he and his bride-to-be put the finishing touches on their invitations. His cheeks were flushed slightly, though he had an air of excitement about him. "I'm so glad that this day has finally arrived. At times it seemed like a distant fantasy that would never come to pass. I am beyond excited for what the future will bring, Linli."

Kin smiled with joy at the invite, remembering when Akihiko told him he proposed. All he could really do was rush over to Linli & hug her.

 

Twilight smiled as she read the invite. Looking forward to seeing her niece getting married.

Yunya of the Chen Household is having mixed feelings, utterly elated about her first daughters marriage to such a good man as Akihiko and yet, the woman thought of her lovely daughter fully grown-up and how things have been changing as of late. Mayhaps she'll speak with San? Just one more couldn't hurt!
