A depiction of New Sedan.

The Deluded Lady and the Church

It was the 16th of Owyn’s Flame when Orenian troops so valiantly went into the desolate and empty town that was once home to the traitorous peoples of Sedan, yet it was empty as can be. Surely they are not scouting some new territory to live under when Urguan casts them aside when Oren wins back the land?

As the Orenian soldiers claimed back the lands which were theirs, they soon began the deconstruction process ahead of schedule. Torches were drawn and tools were taken, yet as they began to burn an empty home, some old and delusional woman charged forth - perhaps remembering what happened to the original Sedan, she quickly took the flaming boards of the home and tossed them into the church, forgetting about her faith entirely. This woman was quickly dealt with though she had tossed too much fuel into the church and it was quickly caught in a roaring flame which the soldiers could not put out despite their best efforts.

Let it be known that while the church may be in bad standings with Oren, it is still respected as holy grounds - yet these twice traitorous Sedanities seem to be enthralled by their dwarven overlords as their citizens openly catch such on fire.

Let it be known,

Tylos

Treble de Murat, still a devout canonist, looks away in disgust from everyone involved in the situation. He whispers to himself as he prays, "There's no line between monsters and us humans anymore."

“Nooooo!” screeches Goran Goldhand, having escaped prison once more. That church was to due be converted into a joint temple to Anbella and the Fidei Defensor.

“Nevermoind,” says the dwarven trader to no one in particular. “Let’s look on t’broight soide. Now those slaves - er, ‘trusted vassals’ - will ‘ave to purchase Urguanish labor to build t’new temple t’the Brathmordakin.”

Humble milk farmer Louis of Southbridge, whose wife left him for being unable to provide after his herd of cows was murdered by the Sedanites and his first child died of malaria, cheers. Finally, retribution might be found.

Markos Knowing the truth about what happened in Sedan, would shake his head in dismay "The GALL of these Orenians to first burn down a house of worship! Then blatantly lie about it, is absolutely disgusting and despicable"

Theroden scowls “Imps have no shame. They brag openly about their atrocities as they always have. They only make it easier to see whom the true monsters are. More grudges to be settled. Woe to Oren when New Providence falls as there will be quite a retribution.”

At this exclamation, Goran Goldhand brandishes his cat o' nine tails, flogging Louis rather brutally on the backside. This was his fourth flogging of the day, and it was not yet noon. The dwarf hoped to have carved an idol to Dungrimm out of the welts in Louis' back by at least sundown.

"Get back te werk, ye worthless VASSAL! That barley will nae reap itself, umri-bastard!"

friar viktor shakes his head as he reads the missive "Would the folk of Sedan burn down the Church dedicated to their own patron saint? I have my doubts, though I do not know... regardless, the Church doesn't wish to be used as some political tool by either side any longer."
